Terms and Conditions

 

Organiser:
Committee on Home-School Co-operation (CHSC)

Objectives:
These activities aim at connecting parents and schools to promote students’ physical and psychological well-being, as well as their whole-person development. Through close home-school co-operation, we create a caring and positive environment for growth, enabling students to actively face challenges in learning and life, and fostering resilience and self-confidence.

Eligibility:
Parents of students who currently study in local primary schools (Primary 4 to Primary 6) and secondary schools are welcome to participate in the competition with their children. Each participant group should submit one entry only.

Submission of Entries:
The entry form and 4-panel comic template can be downloaded from the website of the CHSC (https://www.chsc.hk). Participants have to submit their entries together with the completed entry forms to the Secretariat of the CHSC at Room W215, 2/F., West Block, EDB Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre, 19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon by post (Please indicate “Nurturing Growth Hand in Hand; Braving Storms to Forge Ahead” 4-Panel Comic Drawing Competition on the envelope cover).

Entry Requirement:
Participants may use any medium of their choice to create hand‑drawn comic drawings. The entry form and template can be downloaded from the CHSC website (https://www.chsc.hk). Participants may choose whether or not to colour the template, and there is no restriction on the medium used. However, the addition of other materials (e.g., stickers, gold powder, glitter powder, crepe paper, etc.) to the pictures is not allowed. Chinese or English text is acceptable if the entry includes written content. Entries that are computer‑generated or AI‑generated will be disqualified.

Deadline:
15 May 2026 (Friday)

Assessment Criteria:
The assessment criteria for the panel of adjudicators include: relevance to the theme, creativity, techniques of design, ideas, etc.

Awards:
Each category will have 1 Champion, 1st Runner‑up, 2nd Runner‑up and 10 Merit Prizes. Certificates and book coupons will be awarded to individual winners.

Announcement of Results:
List of winners will be announced by early July 2026 via the CHSC website (https://www.chsc.hk). Individual winners will be notified through their schools.

Rules and Regulations:

  1. Each participant group should submit one entry only. For multiple submissions, only the last submitted entry will be considered and remaining entries will be disregarded without further notice.
  2. The entry must be original related to the theme of the Competition and have never been published. Entries found to have infringed other people’s copyrights, be they commercial or non‑commercial, will be disqualified. The organiser will not be held responsible for any infringement of copyrights committed by the participants.
  3. Participants must ensure that their entries do not contain any material that is obscene, violent, pornographic, defamatory, indecent, disparaging or content that is controversial and inappropriate, and will not breach the laws of the HKSAR; failing which, the participant will be disqualified.
  4. Entries must not display any names, school names or other identifying marks. Signatures, borders and watermarks in the form of text, symbols or pictures which contain personal information are prohibited in the entries.
  5. The organiser and EDB own the copyrights of all entries and will have the right to edit and use all entries for publicity, exhibition or publication purposes. Prior notice or payment to participants for the copyright is not required.
  6. Upon receipt of entries, the organiser will not issue acknowledgement for individual participants. All submitted entries are not to be returned.
  7. Entries not complying with the the terms and conditions of the competition will be disqualified.
  8. The decision of the panel of adjudicators will be final. Participants should raise no objection.
  9. Participants agree to provide personal data and authorise the organiser to release such data for promotional purpose. All collected data will be destroyed if they are no longer required after the competition.
  10. The organiser reserves the final right to interpret and amend the terms and conditions of the competition.
  11. Participants must have full understanding of the terms and conditions of the competition. Submission of entries by participants implies that they have agreed to abide by and accept all the terms and conditions involved. Any changes to the terms and conditions of the competition will be updated on the CHSC website (https://www.chsc.hk).
