School Management
School Management Organisation : IMC of WCSY monitors the organisation of the school. The principal leads the executive teachers to co-ordinate different executive groups such as the Management and Organisation team, Teaching and Learning team, Student Performance team, Student Support and School Ethos team, Extra-curricular team, Teaching Innovation team. They are also responsible for the daily operation of the school.

Learning and Teaching Plan
Learning & Teaching Strategies : 1. According to the diversity of learning strategies, the implementations of 'high participation, high feedback and high display' were conducted.
2. To build up students' reading skills and ability by using different kinds of learning strategies, mindmaps and organizers.
3. To implement cooperative learning to stimulate peer interaction to deepen students' learning.
4. By incorporating higher order thinking skills and gifted education learning strategies to achieve the development of gifted education.
5. To organize life-wide learning activities, e.g. field trips, visits.
6. To incorporate STEM Education and technology learning.
7. To build up a reading atmosphere by implementing the vertical-plan of learning strategy, carrying out a whole-school reading scheme, weekly reading time.
8. To enhance students' learning by implementing cross-subject project.
Development of Key Tasks : 1. Chinese: To develop and enhance students' skills in word recognition, reading and writing by using the reading and writing strategies and the Storybook-Reading Approach.
2. English: To raise students' reading, writing skills by using the Shared Reading Approach, Phonics programmes, Reading-Writing Learning programme and implement NET Teaching English lesson.
3. Mathematics: To enhance students' logical thinking skills by using Graphic Organizers, problem-solving techniques and the experience-oriented learning approach.
4. General Studies: Incorporate high-order-thinking learning strategies, Science and Technology learning activities and incorporate STEM education with computer science.
Development of Generic Skills : To raise students' learning ability by using multi-teaching methods: Big Book Approach, Phonics approach, Reading / Writing strategies, Read to Write learning strategies in Chinese / English. Project learning approach (Developing problem solving skills, and analytical skills), Cooperative Learning strategies (Raising communication skills and cooperative skills). Life-wide learning approach (Enriching students learning experiences), School-based computer curriculum (Developing information technology skills).
Promotion of Positive Values and Attitudes : To promote moral education activities through lectures, multi-class activities, morning assemblies, reward programs, and class cultivation, etc., to praise and encourage students to develop good moral qualities, and establish a "positive ambassador team" to help promote positive values and educate students to be self-disciplined , polite, harmonious, positive, optimistic and grateful.
Student Support
Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : The Learning Support Team is responsible for carrying out different activities to help with different student's needs. The core members of the team provide students with appropriate and diversified support services to enhance the effectiveness of student's learning and assist them in integrating into school life. The measures in supporting students with SEN include: individual education plans, remedial learning groups, speech therapy services, homework and assessment accommodation, "Little Teacher" Programme, Peer Companionship Programme and training on social skills etc.
Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : - Student's learning achievement, attitudes and the well being of our students are the key concerns of the school. All staff acknowledge the responsibility of establishing an inclusive environment and inclusive practices like differentiated teaching and assessment accommodation, peer support and teacher collaboration to cater for the needs of all students.
- SENCO is responsible for leading the student support team to plan, coordination and implement the Whole School Approach to IE.
- Arranging parent workshops and meetings with teachers and professionals to enhance Home-School Cooperation.
- Arranging teachers to attend special education courses systematically and invite the educational psychologist and speech therapists to provide training for teachers.
Curriculum Tailoring and Adaptation : - Gifted Education: Whole Class Approach, Pull Out activities and Talent Enlightening programmes developing students' talent including art, music, PE etc.
- Cooperate closely with professional educational institutes to develop school-based curriculum in different subjects.
- In-school/After-school remedial programmes.
Home-school Co-operation and School Ethos
Home-School Co-operation : - School website and circulars are used for Home-School communication.
- Parent Volunteer groups help carry out school activities.
- Different activities such as workshops for parents, picnics, parent-child interest classes will be organised by the PTA.
