“Planning Ahead” Life Planning Exhibition cum Parent Talk for Parents of Non-Chinese Speaking Students


 

Aims:

The activity aims to encourage parents to discuss with their children about their interests and abilities so as to help them to plan for their future.

(I) Exhibition

1. Introduction of the “Junior Police Call” scheme of Hong Kong Police Force

2. Leaflets of HKDSE will be distributed by Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority

3. Leaflets of courses will be distributed by Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE)

 

(II)   Parent Talk

1. Examination services for NCS candidates by Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority

     Speakers:    (1) Dr KEUNG Mi-li, Merry

                         (2) Mr LEE Tai-leuk, Ernest

2.  Introduction and sharing on life planning for NCS students by Salesians of Don Bosco Ng Siu Mui Secondary School

     Speakers:  (1) Mr LEUNG Chi-yan

                      (2) Mr KIANI KHALID MAJEED

3. Introduction on courses provided by Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE)

     Speaker:   Ms Teresa LEE

4. Introduction on support for NCS students by Hong Kong Police Force and sharing by a Non-ethnic Chinese police officer

     Speaker:  Mr Ali Qasim

Target Participants:

Non-Chinese Speaking parents and students of secondary and primary schools

(Principals, teachers and school social workers are also welcome.)

Language:

Mainly conducted in English, supplemented by Urdu

Interested participants please fax the completed enrollment form by fax (2710 9970 / 2391 0470) or enrol online via our website (www.chsc.hk) on or before 15 March 2019.  Seats are limited and will be reserved upon enrolment on a first-come-first-served basis.

 

Special Arrangements for Bad Weather:                 

The activity will be cancelled when typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is in force or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued at or after 6:30 a.m.
