School Facilities: : School Facilities: Our academic building which has seven floors, we have a total of 28 classrooms and a number of special rooms, which includes the Library, English Corner, Self-study room, Geography room, Students Union room, Art room, Physics/Biology Laboratory, Chemistry Laboratory, Biotechnology Laboratory, Music Room, Piano practice room, Computer Assisted Learning Room, Computer Room, Language Learning Center, Home Economics Workshop, Design and Technology Workshop, Student Activity Center, Social Worker Room, Debate Room, Campus TV, Conference Room, Lecture theater and Multipurpose Room. There are two basketball courts and the school hall for students' activities. The newly refurbished academic building provides a comfortable environment for our students for various activities. (2) School Management Organisation : Our school has been carrying out School-based management since 2001. Apart from the rigorous management, the school has also paid great attention to the communication amongst the staff and is accountable to all the stakeholders. At the same time, the school management structure is clear. The Administrative and Functional Committee makes a concerted effort to carry out the school goals. Along with forming a "through-train" school with the Po Leung Kuk Vicwood K.T. Chong Sixth Form College, the two schools have established a joint-school organization so that the schools can cooperate closely.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : The Incorporated Management Committee has been well established.
(4) School Green Policy : Moral, Civic and National Education Committee conducts various activities and carries out different measures every year, which aims at rearing students the idea of treasuring the resources and cherishing the Earth, enhancing their concern for the society and promoting their sense of responsibility towards the society and the Earth.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : To better cultivate students’ English ability in the school, all subjects except Chinese Language, Chinese History and Liberal and Social Studies will be taught in English and will have extended learning activities conducted in English. In our monthly English week, all teachers will communicate with students in English in order to build an English-rich environment. Putonghua activities are also held during morning assemblies to enhance the atmosphere of communication in Putonghua.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : All subjects in our school including Mathematics, Integrated Science, Advanced Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Information & Technology Studies, Business Accounting, Elementary Economics, Geography, History, Home Economics, Design & Technology, Music, Visual Art and Physical Education will be taught in English and will have extended learning activities conducted in English.

2. Curriculum highlights: Junior Secondary Curriculum highlights: The "ACT program" is designed for students and focuses on the development of three aspects including Awareness, Communication and Thinking. This program aims at developing the fundamental knowledge, concepts and learning skills that students need for Liberal Studies in the senior secondary levels.
(4) Development of the Four Key Tasks : 1. Full Implementation of I.T. Teaching
Introducing the use of Books and Keynote in all subjects. The school started to implement BYOD this year and students bring their device to use in class. Teachers are well-equipped with I.T. techniques and are able to use the technology on teaching skillfully, and hence, students' motivation and the efficiency in learning are greatly improved.
2. Implementation of 'Flipped Classroom'
By using educational learning platforms, such as Schoology and Google Classroom, the school strives to implement 'Flipped Classroom' in all forms. Various learning information and course materials (e.g. video clips, pre-task worksheets) will be uploaded by the subject teachers before the lessons. In order to cultivate the habit of 'Self-directed Learning', students are assigned to complete the pre-tasks and self-study materials before lessons. They will be able to participate more actively in group activities and discussions during the lesson.
3. Implementation of STEM education
In line with the educational development in Hong Kong, the school has been devoted to developing STEM education. We do not only implement Robotic, 3D Design and Programming into the S.1 curriculum in D&T and Computer Literacy, but also introduce the Pre-course curriculum during the P.6 – S.1 summer bridging course to prepare students for the STEM curriculum. In the 2018-2021 3-year development plan, emphasis has been put on developing the BioTech curriculum. The BioTech Lab of the school is also in operation. All these bring our gifted students’ talent into full play.
4. Moral, Civic and National Education
The MCNEC aims at facilitating students’ moral growth to instill right values into students, helping students develop right attitude towards social affairs, strengthening their due responsibility as citizens of Hong Kong, developing students' understanding of our home country and raising their awareness and concern to the nation.
5. Gifted Education
In accordance with EDB’s 3-Tier Implementation Model for Gifted Education, all subjects infuse gifted education elements in the regular lessons and pull-out programmes to cater for the needs for gifted/more able students.
(5) Life Planning Education : Life Planning Education: The Careers Guidance Committee aims to help students to have more insight in their career aspirations and development, so as to make wise choices in their studies and career pathways. A whole-school life planning education program will be provided to students. A variety of life planning seminars, workshops, visits, job simulations and aptitude tests will be implemented to help students to examine their interests and abilities, recognize their strengths, arouse their curiosity towards learning and working, enhance their capacity in planning and decision making.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : The employment of additional teachers in Chinese and English has been funded by the Learning Support Grant. A small class policy in Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics is adopted for students with particular needs in order to provide better care and give more support to students. A series of elite and remedial courses such as the courses for Form Three Graduation Examinations and remedial lessons are being conducted by our own teachers. The pull-out enhancement courses including Chinese Speech Training, English Speech Training, Mathematics Olympiad and Science Olympiad are provided to cater to students with different needs and abilities.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Members of the Student Support Team include Vice Principal and Assistant Vice Principal(Student Activities & Support), Assistant Vice Principal (Academic Affairs & Development), SENCO, Academic Master (Assessment), Panel Head of Chinese Language Department, English Language Support Teachers, School Social Workers and Educational Psychologist.
Through the whole-school approach, homework modification, assessment accommodation and individual educational plans were given to students under the advice of professionals. Students’ learning progress was evaluated at regular form meetings. Apart from regular meetings, the Student Support Team organized different workshops (e.g. Executive Function Student Workshops) and school talks (e.g. Inclusive School Culture Talk) each year.
Under the Learning Support Grant, two language teachers and after school tutorial tutors help enable an effective arrangement of split classes and after school tutorial classes.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking(NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; and organising cultural integration activities. School-based Chinese language and Chinese History curriculum are designed for NCS students. Students are not required to take Putonghua lessons, instead, they will be provided Chinese language consolidation training. For tests and examinations, a different set of papers will be provided for NCS students in Chinese Language and Chinese History. EMI arrangement for NCS students on Liberal and Social Studies.
(4) Measures to provide adaptation for Learning and Assessment : Discipline & Guidance Committee and Academic Committee members will take care of students with special needs. Corresponding adjustment is adopted in course work, assessment and classroom management. The special arrangements in uniform tests and examinations include text magnification in test papers and time extension.

(1) Home-School Co-operation : The school maintains good communication with parents and the parent-teacher association in the following ways:

6. Our Parent-Teacher Association was honorably awarded the “Outstanding Parent Teacher Association Award” by the Federation of Parent-Teacher Associations Sham Shui Po District Limited.
(2) School Ethos : The school has a pure and honest spirit. Coupled with the emphasis on discipline and counseling, it is believed students will be endowed with morals and virtues. To promote students’ self-disciplinary spirit, various programs including leadership training camps, activities for school uniform teams and voluntary services are carried out. The Discipline and Guidance Committee works closely with social workers to help students develop positive values and manners.
To provide care and guidance to students, a system of dual class teachers is in place. Students also enjoy the mentoring program, lunch at school and activities after school.
Our school was honorably awarded the Honor Award in ‘2019 Caring School Award Scheme’.
Future Development

(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : We place much emphasis on teachers’ professional development. Joint-school professional development activities are regularly organized with Vicwood K.T. Chong Sixth Form College in order to enhance the communication between the two schools. Professional Learning Circles are established to foster professional exchange among peers, with an aim to enhance the effectiveness of e-Learning and whole-class gifted education initiatives. Connections have been formed with a key high school in mainland China, where sharing sessions among the sister schools are conducted to enhance the quality of teaching. Class observations are conducted by the principal, subject panels and among colleagues and teachers of other schools to enhance the quality of teaching.
Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : 1. The 'One Student One Art/Sport' program provides a variety of extra-curricular activities and learning experiences for students. The activities include different academic school teams, sports school teams, music school teams, performing arts school teams, uniform and services groups, academic clubs and interest classes such as Japanese class, Korean class, Spanish class, Magic class, Bridge class, Aerial Photography Class, Jazz Funk Class, etc.
2. The Life-Wide Learning day is held every semester in order to enrich school life learning for students.
3. Exchange programs to other countries are held during school holidays.
4. Cooperation with Po Leung Kuk Vicwood K.T. Chong Sixth Form College in different kinds of activities covers some ball games competitions, outings activities, etc.
5. Innovative Maker Fortnights are held and co-operated by all subjects with cross-curriculum elements.
6. Inter-house competitions are held throughout the year. The competitions include trivia, volleyball, table-tennis, basketball, soccer and talent.
