Healthy diet and life style lay the foundation for effective learning and development. The Student Welfare and Meal Management Committee has been actively promoting healthy diet and lifestyle. The diet provides students with sufficient nutrients which help them build up strong physique. With better immunity against various diseases, our students can take part in all aspects of school lives healthily.

Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : Although the mother tongue has been adopted as the medium of instruction in our School, increasing emphasis is placed on boosting students' competence in English Language and their confidence in mastering the language through careful cultivation of a conducive English-learning school environment. Our School incorporated Extended Learning Activities (ELA) in English into the junior form curriculum in subjects including Maths, L.S., Computer Literacy, Integrated Science, Business Fundamentals, Geography, History, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. A "combination of strategies" will be adopted to promote ELA in English, including (a) allocation of some lesson time of the above mentioned subjects to using EMI to go through subject concepts and contents already taught in CMI; (b) using EMI to teach individual modules or themes and (c) using EMI with regard to the nature of the learning materials. In addition, to extend and benefit students' English Language acquisition through the curriculum, pedagogy and assessment, students will be required to use the language in parts of the assessments, tests and examinations for the above mentioned subjects.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : Departmental meetings are held regularly by the Academic Committee & various subject panels to review pedagogical effectiveness & further implement the school's policy of Teaching and Learning. Moreover, teachers gather regular feedback from the students on the effectiveness of Teaching and Learning in their classrooms to improve pedagogical strategies to enhance students' learning. The students are also encouraged to use the Library & Computer-Learning Centre for self-access and independent learning. In addition, part of the junior & senior form classes are divided into smaller tutorial groups to facilitate co-teaching & cooperative learning strategies for effective Higher-Order learning. Curriculum review is regularly undertaken in our school to prevent duplication & repetition of programmes & content.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 2X. Students choose 2 elective subjects in accordance with their interest and aspirations.
2. Curriculum highlights: Our school has adopted a learner-centred approach in designing the curriculum, with the aim of developing and strengthening students’ analytical and problem-solving skills and facilitating the application of these skills across different disciplines. Additionally, we provide small-class teaching and opportunities for extended learning beyond the classroom in order to help students master different learning skills, increase their classroom participation and promote learning effectiveness.
(4) Development of the Four Key Tasks : Apart from the daily 20-minute morning Reading Period, we hope to nurture students to be proactive independent readers through the Reading Club, lectures & writers' sharing and New Books Recommendation competitions. Ultimately, we hope to increase students' quantity as well as quality in reading. In addition, the school has spent over $1,000,000 to modernize the School library and purchase a variety of new books to suit different students' interests. Liberal Studies is introduced at S.1 to S.3. Methods of inquiry & project-based learning allow students to explore their areas of interest, instill independent learning & develop interpersonal skills through team-collaboration. The school monitors closely students' learning needs in tandem with societal changes so as to better prepare our students for further education & vocational training.
(5) Life Planning Education : Life planning activities and courses are offered to both junior and senior students.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : Our teachers have adopted "Differentiated-Learning/Teaching" strategies in their classrooms. For lower-ability students, extra tutorial classes & programmes are run by our in-house educational psychologist to improve students' learning methods. In recent years, we embark on different funding projects with professional institutions (e.g. EDB, HKU and CUHK) so as to cater for learners' difference & develop students' individual interests.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Our school endeavors a harmonious, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students, class-based activities are held regularly.
We aim at promoting positive value and self-discipline among students to develop them into responsible citizens. Additional student counsellors have been hired to strengthen our pastoral care to our students.
Our school identifies students’ differences in learning. Enhancement and remedial course for Chinese and English for all levels together with support schemes and speech therapy service for students with special educational needs are provided. Several core subject teaching staff members are designated to be the coordinator to assist with planning and implementing policies that are most beneficial to students with special educational needs. Teacher-training is conducted to sharpen our teachers’ understanding of our special educational needs students.
To foster students’ whole-person development, school has been offering a myriad of interest groups and workshops for our students such as coffee-making workshops, soft darts classes, financial planning workshops and social skills groups.
Our school emphasizes the forging of strong ties between our parents and the school. A 24-hour hotline and a parent support group has been established for enhancing communication between the parents and the school.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking(NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; and organising cultural integration activities. provides both Chinese and English version of school notices for the convenience of NCS parents.
(4) Measures to provide adaptation for Learning and Assessment : There are 2 terms in a school year, with an examination at the end of each term. The examination accounts for 60% of students' final result with the remaining 40% from uniform tests/ quizzes and course-works in the term. Students will be awarded grades (A-F) for non-academic subjects based on their daily performance & performance on proficiency tests.
Home-school Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : Through holding varied events such as Parents' Nights and Parents' Days and publishing pamphlets throughout the school year, our school has built up a strong bond with the parents. Our school’s Teacher Parent Association is an active association which holds various activities aiming at promoting lifelong education of the parents and ensuring the cooperation between the school and the parents. We value the voice of parents in all PTA activities. We aspire to cultivate harmonious teacher-student relationship, and enhance students' sense of belonging to the school.
(2) School Ethos : Different Committees cooperate to create a conducive & harmonious campus environment for our students. Students can hone their leadership skills through participating in the Student Association activities. The new Form One students are guided to adjust to secondary school life through programmes like S.1 Counselling Scheme & Bridging Programme. In addition, students build up their self-confidence & can-do spirit through "Conduct Award Scheme" which takes the students on challenging expeditions & rewarding social services programmes.
Future Development
(1) School Development Plan : 1.Teaching and Learning:
(a) to improve & increase students' basic proficiency in the two key languages, Mathematics and Liberal Studies;
(b) to cater for individual differences and develop good learning habits & attitudes through adopting lesson-study programmes and effective pedagogical strategies in various learning activities.
2. Pastoral & Civic-Moral Education: to emphasize on Pastoral & Civic-Moral Education for a balanced and whole-person development of students.
3. Cooperation between committees and subject panels: to strengthen the cooperation between Committees & subject panels to ensure continual and holistic development of our students.
(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : To align ourselves with the new education reforms in HK, the School has focused on the following areas for our staff development:

6. Team-building. Workshops in the above areas will provide teachers with opportunities for professional & intellectual exchanges & to streamline the school towards a common vision.
Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : We offer over various extra-curricular activities in academic, physical, artistic, musical, and religious realms. We also emphasize the importance of joining uniform groups to help students develop good discipline.
Others : 1. Many students in our school were awarded in the Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi Outstanding Student Election (2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019) and the Outstanding Student Election of New Territories 2013.
2. Our school organises annual overseas exchange programmes (e.g.Tai Wan, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Mainland China, etc.).
