Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2021 ).The assessment criteria are as follows: Internal exam results and the Rank Order List by Education Bureau: 50%, Performance in interviews: 35%, Conduct, ECA achievement, positions of responsibilities held at school: 15%.
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : A 'S.1 Induction Program' is tailor-made for S.1 students. The objectives of the program are to nurture students to become independent and responsible learners and to help students develop clear learning goals and paths. Through cultivating good learning habits, we aim to develop a purpose-driven attitude among students.
In the 'Big Brother, Big Sister' scheme, appointed senior students are trained to help S.1 freshmen adapt to their new school life. 'Big Brothers' and 'Big Sisters' will share study skills, time management skills, examination techniques and develop a personal relationship with them. Summer activities include S.1 Orientation Day and the bridging course.
All students join the School Physical Fitness Award Scheme organized by the Hong Kong Childhealth Foundation and Education Bureau. Some assemblies and talks aim at balanced diet promotion. Furthermore, the Campus Station, Kyudo Club, Cross Country Team, Volunteer Service Team and other types of extra-curricular activities are also channels to help our students develop a healthy lifestyle. Besides, our Parent-teacher Association organizes 'Healthy Fruit Day' to encourage students to eat fresh fruits daily.

(2) School Management Organisation: : School-based management is implemented and supported by the Incorporated Management Committee, Administrative Committee and Parent-Teacher Association. The Incorporated Management Committee comprises Sponsoring Body Managers, the School Principal, Teacher Manager, Parent Manager, Alumni Manager and Independent Manager. All committees hold regular meetings. The Principal and different committees and panel heads communicate with teachers and exchange views to ensure different departments and committees run smoothly and make improvements.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee: : The Incorporated Management Committee of Christian Alliance S C Chan Memorial College was established on 30th August, 2008.
(4) School Green Policy: : Environmental protection is promoted in our school. The use of various resources such as energy and paper is monitored to ensure they are used wisely. 'Low-Carbon Campus' Scheme is jointly run by Civic Education Committee, Campus Development & General Business Committee. Recycling bins are available on the playground for students to practise environmental protection.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy: : The school mainly uses English as the medium of instruction. Our school also employs a native-speaking English teacher and emphasizes the development of bi-literacy and tri-lingualism. In addition, the English environment is enriched by diverse activities including English Speaking Days, Lunch Time Forum and the English Corner. Furthermore, activities held by the Chinese Panel, English and Mathematics Panels and the Putonghua Speaking Days are also popular among students.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies: : Our school not only emphasizes academic performance but also cares about personal development. The harmonious relationship between teachers and students helps students learn effectively and fosters a warm and affectionate environment. Our curriculum does not just fit the demands of the society but also nurtures whole-person development and caters for different abilities of students. Project-learning is conducted in S.2 and the curricula of all subjects help develop higher order-thinking skills. Through our multifarious learning activities, students are well-equipped for future challenges. Besides, we run Lunch Time Forum to train up students communication skills. The Reading Award Scheme broadens the scope of knowledge. Class study groups are encouraged to promote collaboration in learning. To cope with learning diversity, catch-up classes and booster classes are offered as well. In 2018-2019 school year, our school joined the Intercultural Exchanges Program organized by ASF. A student from United States would come to our school for cultural exchange for a year.
(3) School-based Curriculum: : 1. Electives: 2X and 3X. We accept students who are doing well academically to take at maximum three electives. Students are free to choose any electives.

(4) Development of the Four Key Tasks: : 1. Student Reading Award Scheme and Reading Tuesdays are implemented.
2. All classrooms and special rooms are equipped with IT learning and teaching facilities to facilitate interactive learning.
3. Large-scale project-learning aiming at developing research skills and an inquiring mind is conducted in S.2.
4. The 'Volunteer Campaign' and 'Service and Experience Camp' are jointly organized by Civic Education Committee, to encourage students to become more dedicated and virtuous citizens.
5. Students are encouraged to explore themselves and learn outside classrooms. Adventure military camp is organized for all S.2 students. Taiwan cultural tour is for all S.4 students.
(5) Life Planning Education: : Aligning with the career developmental needs of students at different stages of growth, quality life planning education and career guidance service are provided to
1. help students understand their personality, interests, abilities/skills and values/preferences;
2. nurture students’ positive attitudes in work and life;
3. better prepare students for actualizing individuals’ potential through pursuit of their career and life goals;
4. empower students through exploration of different pathways to make informed and responsible choices on their learning, career goals and other aspects leading to a meaningful life.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity: : We have plentiful resources for enhancement and remedial classes. Split class teaching is implemented in Chinese, English, Mathematics and Liberal Studies lessons to assist students' learning. To enhance learning effectiveness, we adopt different teaching methodologies in a student-centered approach.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education: : Our school endeavors to cultivate inclusive environment for our students. We have adopted the Whole School Approach to support our students with Special Educational Needs.
Student Support Team is set up to cater for the various needs of our SEN students.The core members include Assistant Principal, SEN Coordinator, Student Guidance Mistress, Discipline Mistress, Careers Guidance Master and Educational Psychologist. To enhance the professional capacity of teachers in catering for students with SEN, our school has been arranging teaching staff to receive structured Basic, Advanced and Thematic (BAT) Courses offered by EDB, which help implement integrated education through the Whole School Approach. The school has made use of the Learning Support Grant (LSG) to employ a Student Counselor and a general Teaching Assistant to provide appropriate support for students in need. Besides, the LSG is used to purchase services to render supportive measures to students. They include: Individual Psychotherapy, School-based Speech Therapy, Chinese Reading-and-writing-skill Training, Executive Function Training and Social-skill Training. On top of that, a school-based Educational Psychologist has also been employed by the school sponsoring body to help in early identification and accommodation of the SEN needs, conduct necessary assessment and provide counseling to students with learning problems to help them better adjust to the school curriculum. The school has also provided special arrangement for assignments or tests and examinations for SEN students in need. Multi-disciplinary case conferences have been held for designing Individual Educational Plan for better adjustment of SEN students in need.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking(NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; and organising cultural integration activities.
(4) Measures to provide adaptation for Learning and Assessment: : Assessment is carried out through tests and examinations. Besides, daily performance in class and other assignments are also taken into account as an assessment for learning.
Home-school Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation: : The Parent-Teacher Association and the school have been working together harmoniously to foster growth of our students. PTA has organized many activities, including S.1 Parents' Class, collective memory day trip, visits to universities, interest classes for parents, voluntary work scheme, seminars for parents, Fruit for Health Campaign and Parents Appreciating Teachers Drive.
(2) School Ethos: : Our school promotes purity and simplicity. Students are polite, well-behaved and teachable. Teachers develop a close rapport with students. The "Bi-Class Teacher system" is implemented in S.1 to S.4 to ensure that students receive enough attention from two class teachers. The S.1 summer bridging course helps students adapt to a new learning environment in secondary school. The Student Union, Prefects and Guidance Prefects also provide great support. Our social worker, educational therapist and teachers are easily accessible.
Future Development
(1) School Development Plan: : The school's major concerns for the years 2020-2021 are as follows:

(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development: : Teachers are well-equipped for the Senior Secondary curriculum. We organize staff retreats and seminars every year. Teaching effectiveness is also raised through teaching collaboration, peer observation and evaluation of seminars and workshops.
Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : Our school promotes extra-curricular activities. This year, we offer 38 extra-curricular interest groups to all students. Students can develop their creativity and potentials through religious, academic, cultural, sporting activities and also through community service. "Muse of Music" especially for S.1 students includes Chinese Orchestra and Western Orchestra. Other programs include Special Learning Days, voluntary work, Christmas Celebration, Athletics Meet, Swimming Gala, mainland military camp and overseas study tours, etc.
Others : - 6D Lau Tsz Ting was selected as one of the Top Ten Outstanding Students in the 32nd Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Outstanding Students selection 2019.
- 5C Tsang Wing Yam was selected as Tuen Mun Outstanding Student 2019. 6D Lau Tsz Ting and Tang Cheuk Lam were selected as Commended Students.
- 4C Ko Hoi Wai got the Merit Award in the Magazine International Young Writers Award 2019.
- Our English Drama team was awarded the Outstanding Teamwork and the Outstanding Performer Award in the 2019 English Drama Fest organized by the Association of English Medium Secondary Schools.
- 4A Ng Yan Yin, 4C Ho Man Yuet, 4D Kwok Hoi Lam and 4D Lam Hoi Tung were awarded Champion of the Outstanding Smoke-free Team in Smoke-free Teens Program 2019-2020.
- Our debating team won the championship of Yuen Long Town Hall Invitational Debating Contest 2019. Sze Yeung Ling(5D) got the prize of the Best Debater in the final.
- Our students clinched the Championship (Junior Secondary Division) in the Microsoft Master Code Competition 2019.
- Our boys got Grade A 1st Runner-up and our girls got Grade C 1st Runner-up in Hong Kong Secondary Schools Invitation Competition.

Remarks : Each student will receive an academic report and a non-academic report respectively at the end of school year. New Senior Secondary curriculum commenced in S.4 in September 2009. In our school, 11 elective subjects are offered. Besides, senior-form students who are talented and interested in Music, Japanese, French and Physical Education are also provided the opportunity to take the subject by participating in a joint-school program organized by Tuen Mun District Secondary School Heads Association.
