School Facilities: : Air-conditioning and internet network are installed in the auditorium, 24 classrooms, 13 special rooms, STEM Innovative Lab, Liberal Studies learning centre, DT room, VA room, HE room, Music room, English room, students' activity room and laboratories throughout the school.
To promote the use of information technology, all classrooms and special rooms are equipped with advanced and comprehensive support facilities such as Fiber-Optic broadband, Wi-Fi facilities, infrared wireless microphone system, LCD projectors, visualizers and computers.
Our school provides more than 200 tablet computers allowing all students to learn interactively with the aids of the gadgets at the same time. Students' self-learning is encouraged with the installation of Visual Desktop Infrastructure among all computers in the classrooms and library.

Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2021 ).Academic potential and learning attitude 50%, Conduct 20%, Potential in both Physical and Artistic development 15%, Performance in Interviews (Chinese, English) 15%.
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : Every year, we start with the S.1 Adjustment Programme in the Pre-S.1 Summer Holiday, which helps S.1 students adapt to new learning environment. The programmes range from Adventure Training Camp, Self-access Learning Programme, Chinese, English, Maths and Science Course, IT Learning Class and Orientation Day. We also hold a Parents Sharing Night of the Pre-S.1 students for better communication with parents.

We endeavor to foster in our students a healthy lifestyle by including Life Education as curriculum. The course covers topics like Personal Growth, Sex Education, Food and Nutrition as well as Consumer Education. We constantly organize talks and workshops on Healthy Life Style which are hosted by professional social workers, nurses and nutritionists. Through Physical Education and Co-curricular Activities, students’ potential can be discovered and nurtured, and their interest in sport can be strengthened.

School Management

(2) School Management Organisation : Our school established the Incorporated Management Committee in 2009. It is formed by representatives of parents, alumni, teachers and our sponsoring body.
Through the "whole-school distributive leadership approach", our school set up different departments to supervise, lead and support the management of the school.
Our staff appraisal system operates in two ways: both top-down, and bottom-up, in order to enhance the efficiency of the management.

(4) School Green Policy : We strike our best in keeping our campus green. Through various Gardening Clubs and horticulture activities, field trips and environmental protection related activities, we are working hard to preserve the environment. We have also joined the Construction of Green Building Project and we set up the Firefly House in our campus to let students learn more about the ecosystem.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : (i) Facilitating our students to be Bi-literate and Tri-lingual is always the school’s emphasis. Through local and offshore experiential activities, the school has endeavored to create a language environment favorable for English and Mandarin learning.
(ii) Medium of instruction:
a) Mathematics and Science subjects mainly in English;
b) PSHE subjects mainly in Chinese.
Rationale:
a) As the subject nature and terminology of Science and Mathematics are mostly in English, using English to teach these subjects can keep our students abreast of the international trend and thus help facilitate students’ further studies and career
b) Whereas most of the teaching and learning materials of PSHE subject are in Chinese, using Chinese to teach PSHE subject can enhance students’ interest and motivation
(iii) English Enhancement Scheme: With school based curriculum, measures to cater for different learning abilities as well as diversified activities, the English Department has uplifted students’ English proficiency successfully.
(iv) English Enhancement includes English Learning Groups (conducted by our NET), English Tutorial Class, Phonics Class.
(v) One class from F.1 to 2 use PTH as medium of instruction in learning Chinese.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : We believe that all students are unique and they can realize their full potential. We adopt an all-round approach to teaching and learning which encourages self-motivation, understanding, creativity and character development. We seek to provide the best opportunities for the formation of positive values and attitudes and for the development of skills and competencies through our diverse learning programmes e.g. the Learning Beyond lessons for boosting the F.1 & 2 students' learning skills during the assembly double periods. The school curriculum also aims at providing all students with opportunities to develop to their full capacity through IT and E-learning as well as interactive learning platform.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 2X. Students can choose their favourite subjects among different streams according to their own ability and interests. We provide 10 elective courses including Arts, Science and Business Studies.
2. Curriculum highlights: The school curriculum aims at providing all students with opportunities to develop to their full capacity. The curriculum offers a diverse range of school-based material catering for students of all levels of ability.
(4) Development of the Four Key Tasks : Life Education: The school puts strong emphasis on Life Education through exemplary conduct, proper attitudes and correct values. Through our renowned and award-winning 6-year life education programme, we advocate strong communication and interpersonal skills to promote harmony, mutual respect, appreciation and peace among humankind.
(5) Life Planning Education : We provide a variety of career guidance, training and workshops to enhance students ’awareness of their career planning. We are dedicated to provide students support to plan and start their career exploration early with the form-based career guidance.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : We strive hard to build a campus with love, care and support for all students. With an established counseling system in place, we offer ongoing individual guidance to benefit students who might need it, helping them to build their self-confidence, overcome challenges and enjoy their school lives.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : We adopted the Whole School Approach to establish a campus with love, care and support for all students especially those with special care and needs. With an established counseling system in place, we offer ongoing individual guidance to benefit students with special needs. Through the assistance of all staffs of our school, the education psychologists from the EDB and speech therapists, comprehensive assistance is provided for all students in need.
(4) Measures to provide adaptation for Learning and Assessment : Continual and diversified assessment is adopted in our assessment system. With participation in international and local assessment and examinations, students board their horizons to meet international standards.
Home-school Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : Our Teachers Parents Association has been established since 1999 and we constantly organize activities and events for parents to participate in our policy making and share the happiness of their children.

Future Development
(1) School Development Plan : Our school puts strong emphasis on both Life Education, and on enhancing students’ academic performance. Our motto for this year is “With creative minds, and language proficiency, With humble hearts, and gratitude, We search every avenue, every clue, For the naked truth is what we pursue." Equipped with language proficiency and creativity, We pursue the truth.”
In terms of Life Education, the class teachers actively advocate strong communication and interpersonal skills to promote harmony, mutual respect and appreciation in class. With the Pastoral Care Teams, we foster love and care among the campus. We promote the STEM-learning to encourage our students to pursue the truth. Catering for learning diversity, we target to instill a thirst for knowledge, develop strategies for effective learning and pave way for academic achievement.

We joined different programmes in order to provide opportunities for our students to plan their career paths in advanced. We have our alumni-mentoring programme brings together our students and alumni in purposeful, mutually rewarding relationships, provide support and career guidance to current students.
We sincerely hope our students can study hard and be serious in their learning.
(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : To facilitate sharing among peers, regular teacher-sharing sessions and development programmes are held each year. For professional development, our school has carried out the Peer Observation and Assessment on teaching during the past few years. Also, many of our staffs participate in EDB curriculum planning, the committee of the Public Examination Board and Professional Teachers' Union, which helps our colleagues update the latest educational trends. We are keen on sharing with other educationalists and our staffs have always been invited to be speakers in many educational seminars and workshops.
Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : We emphasize co-curricular activities as an important part of an all-round education. We run over 50 clubs, teams and interest groups in different aspects including social service, academic, arts, physical education and uniform teams. Students are encouraged to take an active part in these co-curricular activities to enrich their school life.

Remarks : Our school provides different Senior Secondary Applied Learning Courses for students to enrich their learning such as Aviation Studies, Animation & Design, Film & Media, Child Care and Education, Food and Beverage Operations, Fundamental Cosmetology, Hospitality Services in Practice, Image Design, Dance and Drama, Western Cuisine.
