Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : We implement mother-tongue education in school but we stress the importance of bilingualism, training students to be proficient in both Chinese and English and have a solid foundation in language proficiency. It aims to open new avenues in educational, career and personal development of our students. At junior levels, we use school-based materials in teaching English to cater for learners’ diversity. In Form One and Two, we have split classes for students who learn science in English. In Form Three, we have enhancement classes for English and Chinese according to students’ language levels. Meanwhile, we have strategic plans to provide enrichment for those who are more able. At senior levels, students can opt for the English stream or the Chinese stream in certain subjects based on their needs and ability. Also, we have after-school enhancement and enrichment classes for senior-form students. To foster a good environment for language learning, we organize a wide range of extra-curricular activities for students. We believe participation is the best way to increase students’ interest in learning.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : The school emphasizes high quality of teaching which aims at developing students' self-learning ability to enhance their learning outcomes. Block time-tabling was introduced so that students can be more focused in their learning. We also encourage IT teaching and learning by using IT support in class and e-class through which students can also carry out online communication with their classmates and teachers. To cater for the demands of the society, we have introduced some new subjects such as Liberal Studies in junior forms, Business, Accounting & Financial Studies and Tourism & Hospitality Studies in senior forms. A committee is set up to promote reading at school and home. Different strategies are employed, such as:
1. 15-minute reading time each day;
2. Reading record book;
3. Reading Award Scheme and Best Readers;
4. Reading sharing by teachers and students through different channels;
5. Forming Reading Clubs.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 2X. Our school offers 2 electives for students' choices.

Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : In Junior form, the Science subjects teaching uses different kinds of language to cater for students' ability and need. Some subjects would use small groups to deal with students' learning diversity. Students are allocated into different groups and classes according to their abilities to better learning. Teaching and Learning team has designed tiered worksheet to cater for students diversity.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Our school adopts a ‘whole school approach’ to develop an inclusive school culture. The school provides various supports for students with special education needs by the establishment of a ‘Student Support Group’. Group members include Vice Principal, Educational Psychologist, Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), counselling teacher, special education support teachers, social workers and teaching assistants. The Group evaluates the implementation of integrated education in regular meetings and provides support programmes such as speech therapy, executive functioning training and study skills training etc. in order to boost students’ learning effectiveness. Our school also arranges teachers to enroll in professional training in Integrated Education to better cater for the needs of students with special needs. As for teaching and learning, we cater for the diversity in learning through curriculum design and diversified teaching and learning approaches.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking(NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; and organising cultural integration activities.

Home-school Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : Our parents provide invaluable support to our school. The PTA carries an important role in maintaining the relationship between parents and the school. Each year, parents prepare a big feast for all the teachers before the school starts. This is much appreciated by the teachers. Regular activities functions are held by the PTA, such as talks on parenting, workshops on stress management and leisure activities. Our school treasure honest and close communication with parents who then understand the school and students’ life more.
(2) School Ethos : Our school weighs a lot on character building and value education. Students are generally positive about themselves and the school. The school departments such as counseling, discipline, career, Extra Curricular Activities, religious teams and the social workers all work hand in hand with each other to train up confident and responsible students. Activities such as Other Learning Experience Week, Religious Days, Prefect and Peernet training (Big Brothers and Sisters), Caring Angels and Healthy Campus campaign are held to prepare our students to be leaders and role models. To cater for learning diversities, students with special needs are taken care of with different teaching approaches and accommodations.
