(2) School Management Organisation: : Our school management framework is very clear that every scheme is planned with appropriate policies & procedures. Parents are actively involved to support the school and students. The administrative groups and subject departments will evaluate the working effectiveness regularly. In making every endeavor to further refine different policies, the targets will be adjusted to improve the school developments and educational professional qualities every year.

(4) School Green Policy: : Civic Education Committee is dedicated to assist setting up environmental protection and health policies and awarded “The Hong Kong Healthy School Award Scheme 2014 Bronze Medal” by the Centre for Health Education and Health Promotion of the Faculty of Medicine, School of Public Health and Primary Care of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Our school has also joined the “Let’s Shine Healthy School Programme” organized by TWGHs CROSS Centre since 2016-2017.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy: : Our school stresses the importance of enhancing the biliterate and trilingual abilities of students. Various cross-curriculum activities are designed to maximize the students’ language abilities.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies: : 1. To place emphasis on language enhancement, Form 1 and Form 2 students have to attend Chinese, English, Mathematics remedial classes to consolidate their learning foundation. The NSS Electives bridging courses are offered for Form 3 students to experience the NSS learning modes; to cater learning diversity. 2. Ensure that students are able to manage the learning contents and knowledge in the secondary education stage in order to fulfill the targets of whole person education.
3. Focusing on students different interests and potentials, teachers foster students’ creative thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving and applying abilities to enhance students multiple-intelligences developments.
4. According to the changes of society and students abilities, teachers will evaluate the curriculum regularly and adopt appropriate learning resources systematically to uplift the teaching and learning effectiveness to achieve the goal of teaching students depending on their abilities.
5. Arranging students to participate in HKDSE and other certificate courses to open up a diversified path for further studies in Hong Kong, the Mainland and Taiwan.
6. By scaffolding of knowledge, teachers can make use of students’ daily experience and multi-style teaching and learning strategies to develop students’ thinking skills and cultivate the students’ life-long learning attitudes.
(3) School-based Curriculum: : 1. Electives: 2X. Students should choose 2 from 6 electives.
2. Curriculum highlights: Home Economics Enrichment Course and Physical Education Enrichment Course, Junior Forms Remedial Classes (Chinese, English & Mathematics), certificate courses, in-school Applied Learning courses: Film and Transmedia and Hotel Operations.
With the well integration of cross-curriculum operations, teachers organize multi-learning activities, integrate knowledge & experience for students learning, cultivate students’ life-long learning attitudes and offer multi-learning experiences for students.

(4) Development of the Four Key Tasks: : "Reading to Learn": Establishing the cross-curricular programmes, Reading Day, Thematic Reading Month, Good Books Recommendation, Reading Booth, Extensive Reading Scheme and Morning Reading Programme to arouse the students’ interests and to enhance abilities in reading.
"Project Learning": In the cross-curricular operations, teachers are setting key abilities for investigation, organizing themed visits, cross-curricular meetings and reviewing the effectiveness to develop students collecting, integrating, analyzing, presenting, co-operating and communicating abilities of doing researches systematically.
"Information Technology for interactive learning": With a million funding of Education Bureau Pilot Scheme on e-learning in School, the grant has been used to support the school development of “Borderless Campus——an online learning platform”.
"Moral and Civic Education": Mass educational programs like Tung Wah moral education curriculum, morning assembly talks, bi-weekly assemblies, cross-curricular activities, cultural exchange tours in- and out-of the territories, service plans and health & environmental protection promotion activities are held to foster students’ positive values & social awareness.
(5) Life Planning Education: : Our school co-organized a series of activities with the Educational Psychologist Team of Tung Wah Group of Hospital. Life planning curriculum ‘My Way’ has been implemented in the junior classes, which aims to raise students’ self-understanding, communication skills, self-confidence and so on. At the same time, the ‘smart goal programme’ is implemented throughout the school to assist students in setting goals. Seminars focused on further studies and careers have been organized for S3 to S6 students. Not only letting students obtain more related information on further studies and career choices, they are also able to do more self-reflection and broaden their horizons.
Apart from various seminars, S5 and S6 students are free to choose Applied Learning courses. S6 students are also referred to designated workplace preparation courses, which help them develop appropriate work attitude through authentic activities.
In order to enhance students’ job application and interview skills as well as other useful strategies, we have organized training courses for job interview, workshops for resume writing, workplace training course and so on. All these are valuable in raising students’ competitiveness. The purpose is to provide students with multi-platform for learning and assist them to pursue life-long learning and ideal career.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity: : Our school adopt the whole-school approach to integrated education which emphasizes the balanced development of students in moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic. We work closely with EDB, tertiary institutions and other professional organizations. We adopt “Preparation, Implementation and Evaluation” as a self-evaluation system to review and improve our curriculum, teaching strategies and assessments. We help students get exposure to various other learning activities which students can gain both practical knowledge and application, enabling them to showcase their skills and talents. Furthermore, we participated in Caring School Award Programme jointly organized by Education Bureau and Hong Kong Christian Service and received the ‘Caring School Award” 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 as well as “Outstanding Caring School for Caring Students with Special Needs Award” in 2011. Moreover, “2010 Inviting School Award” and “2013 The Paula Helen Stanley Fidelity Award Final” were given to our Invitational Education approach.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education: : Student Support Team formed from the Principal, Academic Committee Coordinators, Counselling and Guidance Master, Discipline Master, Social Workers, Education Psychologist, SEN Coordinator, SEN Support Teachers and the panel chairpersons of Chinese, English and Mathematics is devoted to coordinating and planning the strategies for catering students’ diverse learning needs.
With the Learning Support Grant, our school has launched a variety of activities like remedial classes for Chinese, English and Mathematics, social skills training, concentration training, speech therapy and other counseling services. Regular case conferences, subject meetings and lesson co-planning are held to monitor student development and learning. We also provide examination accommodations like the use of screen readers, extra time allowance, supervised breaks during examination, abridged question papers.
We launched Student Mentorship Programme which each student is assigned a class teacher as their mentor whose role is to observe students’ school life and learning progress through weekly meetings. Examination and homework accommodation Talk and parent groups are organized to provide parenting support and establish communication channels.
(4) Measures to provide adaptation for Learning and Assessment: : Making use of multiple assessment methods to assess students’ learning effectiveness, it is clearly reflecting the students’ levels of understandings of the knowledge, the participation in the whole learning processes, creative thinking and the key abilities that they have obtained.
Home-school Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation: : The Parents and Teachers Association has been established for many years. “Loving and caring communication, educational supports and social gathering co-operations” are the key frameworks. “Parent Education” is the network and “Children Growth” is the main body so as to maintain the PTA an effective and active association.
(2) School Ethos: : Our school emphasizes the whole-school approach of discipline and counseling mode to support the full development of different student growth aspects. Our school praising systems & disciplinary measures are clear and united; organizes multiple-style activities to reinforce the whole person development; is dedicated to upgrade students’ self-discipline and moral spirits to promote the caring school culture and outstanding school ethos.
Future Development

(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development: : Our School has organized teacher trainings on Win-Win management, school crisis, questioning technique, Invitational Education of Thinking, multi-sensory education, co-operative learning, self-regulated learning, assessment for learning and e-learning. Our school has linked up with Education Bureau, Hong Kong Institute of Education, to run various co-operative projects. Based on the students' needs, we arrange various seminars, training and workshops for teachers, hold regular meetings for academic preparations and peer lesson observation to promote the organization learning culture so as to improve teachers' professional development.
Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : Various extra-curricular activities are organized in terms of academics, interests, sports and teams, students are arranged to participate in inter-school competitions; various academic weeks, theme-based assembly, leadership training camps, academic exchange tours, sports day, inter-house activities and competitions, post-exam and summer activities every year. Organize "life-wide learning" courses to cultivate students' different interests, etc.

Achievements in open or inter-school contests:
Our students won the 2nd runner-up in Tuen Mun area inter-school swimming competition 2019, Boys Grade A 200m Individual Medley; Champion in Yau Tsim Mong District Age Group Athletic Meet 2019 Competition, Boys (Youth) Grade C 4x400m relay and 1500m; 1st runner-up in Yuen Long District Age Group Tennis Competition 2019, Boys Single Youth (MH); 1st runner-up in The 11th Shenzheng Primary and Secondary Schools Tennis Tournament “Yuetong --- Dashing Trophy” Winter trial competition 2019, Boys Single Youth; won a bronze in traditional Beifang quan and Shaolin quan organized by “Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and the National Day & National Day Golden Cup Traditional Martial Arts and Taijiquan Open’; 1st runner-up in The 10th Asian Rope Skipping Tournament (warm-up match), Girls (Age 13 group) --- 30 seconds Double jump, 30 seconds Parents-child friends jump and 30 seconds Shuffle and Crossover jump.

Exchange Programmes:
Various interflow programmes were held every year. In the past few years, our students visited various cities in China, Malaysia, Vancouver, Dubai, Republic of Kazakhstan and etc. These programmes widen the horizons and infuse a global vision to our students.
