School Facilities: : Apart from 28 standard classrooms, a small chapel, School Gallery, playground, English Corner, Chinese Culture Room, World History Room, Language Resource Room, Liberal Studies Room, Teachers' Resource Room, PTA & Alumni Resource Room, laboratories, STEM Room, Library, 3 Multi-media Learning Centers, a gym room, Rooftop Green Garden, Self-study Room and an eCampus-TV studio are provided. Our Annex provides an additional 10,000 sq. ft. learning area for our students. All classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with computers, projectors and infrared wireless microphone system, class library and lockers to ensure a good learning environment for our students. Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2021 ).Criteria focus on four aspects: Academic result - 30%, Conduct and attitude - 30%, Performance in the interview - 30% and Participation in extra-curricular activities - 10%.
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : Pre-S.1 Bridging Courses, Analysis of Learning Style, Orientation and Health Education Camp are held in July and August, aiming at helping students establish close relationships with teachers and cultivate a sense of belonging to school. Meanwhile, S.3 and senior form students participate in leadership training program to foster their team spirits and unlock their leadership potential.

Our school values the importance of leading a healthy life. Balanced diet and healthy lifestyle is taught through the formal curriculum of Home Economics, Physical Education and Integrated Science. Bearing the principles of environmental protection and nutrition in mind, lunch supply is decided carefully with the cooperation of Parent-Teacher Association. We also encourage regular exercise by having rope-skipping competition, Sports Day and different ball games competition annually. These recent years, the school also puts effort in promoting positive education and emotion management.

(1)School's Major Concerns : Our major concerns include:
(1) Promote assessment literacy and enhance students’ learning effectiveness;
(2) Nurturing students' positive thinking, particularly in areas of emotion management, sense of achievement and resilience.
(2) School Management Organisation: : The school is operated under the close cooperation and communication between School Administration Committee, Academic Committee and Student Development. SKH Li Fook Hing Secondary School upholds the spirit of education of the Anglican (Hong Kong) Secondary Schools Council Limited which is to provide youth a quality and all-round education.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee: : Incorporated Management Committee has been established and most of the members are professionals from different areas, this greatly helps the planning and implementation of school policies.
(4) School Green Policy: : Waste Reduction Policy – practise 4Rs principles in students’ everyday living, conserve resources and reduce waste. Green School Policy – sustain the practice of being a green school, encourage students to participate in green living and promote the use of environmentally-friendly facilities. Environmental Education Policy - collaborate with NGO partners to promote environmental awareness. Teachers, staff and students adopt various appropriate measures to implement "Sustainable Green Living" in the campus. We are certified as "Green School" by the Environmental Campaign Committee. We also won the 2020 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence (HKAEE).
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy: : Our school’s language education policy aims at enabling our students to become biliterate and trilingual. Under the fine-tuned medium of instruction (MOI) policy, we make good use of the advantage of mother-tongue teaching to strengthen students’ high-order thinking ability. Moreover, 15% of the curriculum in some junior form subjects (i.e. Mathematics, Integrated Science, History, Geography and Liberal Studies) adopt English as MOI to increase students’ interest, proficiency and confidence in using English. Besides, our school annual English musicals, which we had 'Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr' last year, allow students to develop their potential and build successful learning experiences. We have Putonghua lessons in Junior forms. Our Overseas Exchange Group provides students with an opportunity to use English in an authentic English environment.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies: : Teachers conduct professional sharing on how to design lessons that enhance students' learning effectiveness through collaborative lesson planning and lesson observation. Besides, our school has successfully applied for Quality Education Fund which is going to be used in inviting lesson study experts from Chinese University of Hong Kong to hold seminars and workshops on the latest pedagogical skills as to improve our teaching and be ongoing learners.
(3) School-based Curriculum: : 1. Electives: 2X. Our School upholds the spirit of providing students a wider choice of electives among Arts, Commerce and Science subjects.
2. Curriculum highlights: Our school always emphasizes the importance of students’ language proficiency. In order to maximize the learning effectiveness, students are assigned to different English groups based on the English level they attain in the entrance test. In addition, senior form students are allocated to different classes in their mathematics lessons for taking advantage of small class teaching. With a careful design of school-based curriculum and the catering of learners’ needs, we believe that students’ learning motivation can be enhanced.

We have subjects like Business Fundamentals, Information Technology, STEM and Life & Society to help our junior form students bridge the gap to senior form curriculum.
(4) Development of the Four Key Tasks: : Catering Learners' Diversity: small class teaching and ability-grouped classes are practised in our school to cater the diverse learning needs of different students. Besides, we allow flexibility in curriculum design, pedagogy and assessment to carry out our ‘SEED’ and ‘NEEDs’ projects as to maximize students’ class participation and learning effectiveness.
Educational trends and development: collaborative learning, e-learning and interdisciplinary field trips are some of the key projects of our school to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness. We have invited external resources like Quality School Improvement Project (QSIP) of Chinese University of Hong Kong to help improve the curriculum leadership and planning as well as the assessment literacy of all teachers. Moreover, we have joined the Fourth Strategy on IT in Education to develop e-learning and STEM in our school. The use of tablet computers has been introduced to further establish a better e-learning platform.
Learning through reading: Besides the school library, each class has its own class library to help establish students' reading habit. In addition, morning reading time, reading program, talks delivered by writers, book fairs and Reading Week are organized to establish students' reading habit.
Moral and Civic Education: We share the common goal of 'Love thy community as thyself'. Apart from regular school lessons, students will participate in visits, field trips, talks by celebrities so as to understand the development of Hong Kong, China and the world from different perspectives.
Gifted Education: During these years, 96 students have been admitted to the Hong Kong Academy of Gifted Education. They joined the Enrichment Programmes for professional trainings in Maths, Science, Leadership and Humanities.
(5) Life Planning Education: : Our Careers and Guidance Committee provides various activities, including 'Self-awareness Workshop' in S1,'My Dreams' in S2,‘Elective Selection for NSS' in S3,‘Future Planning and Career Orientation’ in S4,‘Goal-setting for further studies and career’ in S5 and ‘Equipping for further studies and vocation’ in S6. To help our students have a good career preparation, our school works with different NGOs to provide a series of career planning programs. We carried out ‘Self-exploration Career Workshop’, 'Job Experiential Day', ‘My Dream Workplace’, 'Workshop on Interview Skills','Career Live', 'Let Me Fly', ‘Personal Career Planning Assessment’ and 'Life-planning Assessment & Career Guidance', etc. We also held 'S6 Parents' Day' and 'S3 Parents' Day to provide information on further studies after S6 and selection of elective subjects for S3 students.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity: : Our school thoroughly considers students’ ability when reviewing and adjusting the curriculum. Teachers adopt effective teaching strategies and assignments that can address students’ learning problems or difficulties. Besides, appropriate academic support is provided to cater the needs of students in different forms. In order to help S.1 students easily adapt to the new secondary school life, we provide ‘After-school Tutorial Class’, ‘Seed Class’ in junior forms, ‘English Enhancement Class’, ‘Mathematics Olympiad Class’, ‘Visual Memory Skill Training Class’, ‘Reading Skills Training Class’, ‘Effective Note-taking Course’ to consolidate students’ learning and improve their learning ability. We also arrange ‘After-school Endeavour Class’, ‘Cream Project’, ‘Exam Skills Workshop’, external mock exams for students in S.5 and S.6 as to equip them well for HKDSE.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education: : Our school puts strenuous effort in building a harmonious inclusive culture in the campus. We take a whole-school approach in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN). With an appropriate allocation of resources, we provide SEN students with customized learning equipment and facilities. Besides, we provide diversified services, these include the collaboration among the educational psychologist, supporting teachers, school social worker, speech therapist, occupational therapist, etc. to help students make improvement in their learning. Counselling and guidance team provide talks or workshops for parents and have a close communication with them as to give the essential support to students’ learning. We also arrange teachers to have SEN trainings in which to enhance their professional development.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking(NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: Our school provides after-school support such as Chinese Culture Activities and Chinese Writing Skills Enhancement Course to enhance students' interest in Chinese Culture and Chinese writing ability.
(4) Measures to provide adaptation for Learning and Assessment: : The continuous and summative assessments in our school aim at helping students achieve academic success in an organised approach. Our school offers S.1 students with ‘Subject Tutorial Class’ to raise students' academic performance. We also have ‘English Enhancement Class’ and ‘Mathematics Enhancement Class’ for different forms. Seed classes from S.1 to S.3 are also arranged for enriching the learning experience and broadening the horizons of good potential students.
Home-school Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation: : To enhance the cooperation with parents in nurturing our students’ personal growth, Parents’ Day for each form is organized every school year. Regular phone calls and contacts are made by class teachers to update parents on their children’s school performance. Besides, various activities, talks and workshops are organized for parents in order to provide better support to our students at home. Moreover, we provide the most updated information to parents by e-notice and e-payment system for better communication.
(2) School Ethos: : Our school values the establishing of a simple and humble ethos and nurturing our students’ character with integrity and sincerity. We provide personalized care and guidance to students in assemblies and class teacher periods. It is hoped to encourage students to develop their self-esteem and a positive attitude towards life. We hope all SKHLFHSS students possess the following qualities: S-Self-respecting; K-Kind; H-Hopeful; L-Learned; F-Forward-looking; H-Honest; S-Self-motivated and S-Serving.
Future Development
(1) School Development Plan: : Our school conducts cross-curriculum learning, topical field trip, life-wide learning and positive education so as to enrich students' learning experience and whole-person development. STEM and e-learning are emphasized in the curriculum in order to increase students' capability in collaboration, creativity, innovative technology and problem-solving.
We promote reading and self-regulated learning to enhance learning. Lesson study, Homework Policy, S.1 Bridging Course, After-school Enrichment Programs, HKDSE Exam Skills Course and Mock Exams are offered to consolidate students' learning and enhance academic results.
(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development: : The school upholds the principle ‘Our Teachers are Our Future’. We aim at strengthening the leadership and management of our Heads and Middle Managers and helping green-level teachers to embrace challenges. We aim at developing a learning community which put emphasis on enhancing the quality of curriculum design and the conduction of lesson study. To do so, Partnership Scheme with scholars in universities, Staff Development Days, Joint-school Open Lessons are held to encourage continuous professional development and raise teaching quality. These recent years, our key areas are on assessment literacy, e-learning, cross-curriculum field trips and reading scheme. Principal and teachers are often invited to share their professional teaching experience in other schools or other countries.
Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : Other Learning Experiences is a vital platform to help students gain successful exploration and diversified learning experiences. Our school has more than 30 school clubs and organizes more than 100 extra-curricular activities. These include form-based academic events, interest groups, sport teams, uniform groups, religious, artistic and cultural activities, students are able to build up their confidence, discover their talent and potential, establish close relationships with teachers and develop a sense of belonging to school. Students particularly have outstanding performance in English Musical, Handbell Team, Volleyball Team, Taekwondo Team, Social Service Team and Leadership. Our school will make good use of the Life-wide Learning Fund to enrich students' learning experiences in different key learning areas.
Others : Our school ethos is to be simple and humble. We take a whole-school approach of having disciplining and counselling going hand-in-hand. Teachers and students enjoy a harmonious and caring school environment.

Junior Form curriculum is diversified and appropriate amount of homework is given to students. Classroom interaction is with fun and inviting. We emphasize interdisciplinary activities in order to develop students’ collaboration skill, critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills.

Diversified and numerous extra-curricular activities enable our students to unlock and demonstrate their potentials.

For five consecutive years, our school has received the IAIE (International Alliance for Invitational Education) 'Inviting School Fidelity Award' and we won 'Golden Fidelity Award' in 2019, these honor have recognized the effort we have put in demonstrating positivity, respect, trust, optimism in different aspects.

Our teachers have received the ‘International Outstanding e-Learning Award 2019’, the ‘Outstanding Mentor’ of the Hong Kong University of Education, Award for Home Affairs' Commendation Scheme and the the IAIE 'Most Outstanding Teacher'.

Our students won in different competitions. These include Hong Kong & Macau Mathematical Olympiad Gold Award, Chinese Writing Competition First Prize, Chinese Solo-verse Speaking of Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival Champion, Taekwondo Competition Champion, Drawing Competition Champion, Innovation Technology Design Award, Japan's Human Academy Robot School Competition - Best Performance and Best Design awards, Balloon Twisting Award, Youth Leader Award and Volunteer Gold Medal, etc. Our school Handbell Team performed in the International Handbell Music Festival 2018 in Australia.

Our students have a lot of opportunities to join overseas exchange trips to broaden their horizons. They are encouraged to visit Guangzhou, Nanjing, Yunnan, Shanghai, South Korea, Taiwan, the United States, etc to let them know more about their motherland, understand different cultures, gain English learning experience and learn about the education opportunities overseas.
