| Orientation Activities and Healthy Life | : | Secondary 1 Orientation Programmes: 1. New Secondary 1 students will be briefed on how to cope with their new school lives on registration day; 2. An English and a Science Bridging course will be held during the summer holiday; 3. An orientation day for new students and their parents will be held at the end of August; 4. An adventure-based training day camp will be held. From September to November, student mentors will go into the Secondary 1 classes every day to help new students settle in. | (2) School Management Organisation | : | Our school has implemented School-based Management. The middle-management team, which is made up of subject department heads and committee heads, works closely with the Principal. There are also teams headed by senior teachers who are responsible for academic affairs, religious activities, extra-curricular activities, home-school co-operation, pastoral care and information technology. |

| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | We aim to provide our students with an all-rounded education which includes the aspects of Virtue, Knowledge, Health, Community Spirit, Aesthetics and Spirituality. Through our specially arranged special programmes, we hope to nurture students to be competent, cultivated and moral citizens. The curriculum is designed in such a way that it meets the students' interests and needs of the society. |
| (3) School-based curriculum | : | 1. Electives: 2X and 3X. F.4 students can choose 3 out of 12 electives. 2. Curriculum highlights: In order to enhance students' learning in Chinese and English Languages, our school has split classes for those lessons. Small class teaching enables teachers to adopt more diversified strategies to cater for students' academic needs. Striving to develop students' interest in reading, our school designs the morning reading programme so as to broaden the domains of reading materials and provide more interesting reading activities to students. |
| (4) Development of the Four Key Tasks | : | 1. Reading programs are conducted to foster students’ reading habit. 2. Students' performances in tests and examinations are statistically analysed so that appropriate teaching strategies can be designed. 3. Cross-curricular project learning days are organized for all Secondary Two students. They can choose their own topics from a list of given domains and conduct research. 4. A student-centred approach is adopted in subject selection and careers guidance for senior secondary students. |

A series of activities will be provided to the students in junior forms so as to deepen their self-understanding. Workshops relevant to career guidance will be given to the students in senior forms in order to help them develop their self-management skills and set their goal in life planning. |

| (1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity | : | Our school has set up a School Guidance Team and hired 2 full time social workers, 1 half-time social worker and Counsellor to provide extra help and support to students who need special educational needs. To cater for the students' diverse learning needs, tutorials are provided. Our school also encourages gifted students to participate in external competitions and gifted enhancement programmes. |
| (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education | : | Our School has strived for excellence in providing integrated education, cultivating an inclusive atmosphere to cater for the special educational needs of students. We have set up a team comprising of vice-principals, SEN Coordinator, discipline and guidance teachers, social workers, educational psychologist, speech therapist and peer counsellors. Teachers also take relevant SEN courses to acquire professional knowledge in taking care of SEN students. We apply the Learning Support Grant and other resources of school to provide support to students, such as hiring peer counsellors and buying services, providing social communication group, group or individual counselling sessions. We provide special arrangement in internal examinations and assist respective students in applying for similar arrangement in HKDSE. |
| (3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking(NCS) Students | : | Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; and organising cultural integration activities. |
| (4) Measures to provide adaptation for Learning and Assessment | : | There are two terms in a school year. There is a mid-term assessment and an examination at the end of each term. We have adopted a continuous assessment policy whereby a coursework mark of 40% of the total is included in each subject. Project learning, learning attitude and learning portfolio are assessed to enhance the effectiveness of students' self-learning. |

To act as a bridge between parents and the school so that parents can have a better understanding of their children’s school lives. 2. To organize different activities to enrich students’ learning experiences. 3. To concentrate on parent education and work collaboratively with the school in nurturing students. |
| (2) School Ethos | : | As a Catholic school, we are committed to nurturing our students with a Catholic spirit. Our core values are Truth, Justice, Love, Life and Family. We set high standards with regard to the students' appearance, their speech and behaviour. Our school ethos has always been geared to decency and respect. The Guidance Team runs different programs and scheme to instil a caring and serving culture into our students. Two full-time social workers from Caritas station at our school. The Educational Psychologist from the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong pays regular visits to provide support and assistance. The Career and Life Planning Education Committee runs workshops and visits to universities to help students in their career planning. Ties between parents and the school are strong. |

| Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, extra-curricular activities, co-curricular activities, etc.) | : | We operate over 30 extra-curricular activities for students to join at their own will, The activities fall into five categories, namely, Academic, Music & Art, Sports, Interest and Uniformed Groups. For example, School Orchestra, Guitar Class, Dance Club, Debating Club, Sand Art and Robotic Club. Apart from these regular extra-curricular activities, enrichment programes such as religious camp, prefects’ camp, singing contest and adventure-based activities are also held. The participation in the wide variety of life-wide learning activities help students to build up their confidence, self-esteem and positive values as well as to develop and realize their potential and talents. |

Internal scholarships include Woo Fung Miu Ling Scholarship, Fr. Narciso Santinon Memorial Scholarship on Christian Values, Valtorta College DSE Scholarship, Parent Teacher Association Scholarship for Academic Excellence, etc. Besides this, our students have also been awarded external scholarships including the Concord Fortune Charity Scholarship, Children Charity Foundation Scholarship and Lau Cheuk Yin Charity Scholarship, etc. to recognise their brilliant results in the HKDSE and excellent contributions in social services. |
