Our mission is to cultivate conduct and academic excellence among students, thus creating a good learning atmosphere and culture in School. The motto of the School is ‘Orderly and Respectful’. School Facilities : Information Technology facilities include WiFi system, Multi-media Learning Centre, computer room, intranet system, desktop computer, notebook computer. Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2024 ).EDB Rank Order List (25%), conduct and comment (25%), examination results of P.5 and P.6 (20%), performance in interview (10%), performance in extra-curricular activities (10%), achievement within and outside school (5%), awards (5%).
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : Form 1 Orientation Day, Bridging Programme for subjects in each learning area.
The school canteen provides students with nutritious breakfast and lunch. The health concept is inculcated through the lessons in Life and Society, Biology, Science, Physical Education etc. Students are encouraged to participate in the school athletic meet and inter-schools athletic competitions.

School Management
(1)School's Major Concerns : Enhancing students' learning skills and attitude; promoting positive value and shaping excellent qualities of KCC members through life education.
(2) School Management Organisation : School duties such as academic affairs, student affairs, school information and student enrolment are carried out by various offices. The school administration is formed by a hierarchy of separate teachers working together while the major school decisions are made by general consultation.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : The school management committee is composed of professionals from the field of commerce, education, law, etc. The school supervisor is a veteran front-line educationist.
(4) School Green Policy : The school promotes enthusiastically the saving of energy and recycling of materials. This helps nurture students the consciousness of environmental protection. The school also set up a smart water refilling station in order to reduce plastic waste.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : The teaching of Chinese Language, Chinese History and Putonghua is conducted in Putonghua. All other academic subjects except English Language are taught in English or Chinese depending on class. We emphasize language education. In addition to allotting more time to teach the two languages, we also provide Language Bridging Course for those students in need. Furthermore, we nurture students to enhance biliterate and trilingual abilities through Chinese and English intensive reading schemes, choral speaking competitions etc.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : We emphasize a balanced curriculum of moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic education. We also place great importance in the development of students' creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the nurturing of their personal character, civic awareness, interpersonal skills and sense of responsibilities. In junior forms we have designed school-based curriculum by means of integration and tailoring in order to motivate students to learn. We also implement morning reading scheme, award for reading, project learning scheme, life-wide learning activities and information technology for interactive learning.
(3) School-based curriculum : 1. Electives: 2X and 3X. We offer the curricula of the local HKDSE in the Direct Subsidy Scheme Section as well as IGCSE and IBDP in the International Section. We believe the provision of multiple curricula enables us to better cater to our diverse needs of students, who encompass a broad array of talents and interests as well as different learning styles. In Secondary 4 - 6, students principally follow the HKDSE programme, with the option of studying the IB Diploma programme in Year 12 and 13. In both Diploma programmes there are key opportunities for students to pursue individual aspirations through a wide choice of elective courses.
2. Curriculum highlights: In junior forms, we have designed school-based curriculum basing on students' abilities in order to meet their needs.
(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : The Reading Team, I.T. Team, Project Learning Team, Moral and Civic Education Team were established to formulate school-based measures to promote the development of the four key tasks.
(5) Life Planning Education : Our school strongly believes that Career and Life Planning (CLP) education is an important component of secondary schooling. Its aims are to foster students’ self-understanding, widen their scopes about future study and career choices, develop their skills in goals setting and nurture a reflective habit of mind about their future. Through CLP education, students would be equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitude to make wise choices, in accordance with their interests, abilities and orientations, for their future studies and careers. All these enable students to actualize their goals and make contribution to the society eventually. In order to achieve the above aims, we adopt the 'New Power of Growth Programme' in junior forms, which includes seminars, games and workshops, to help students understand more about themselves and stimulate them to think about their pathways in the future. For senior forms, apart from periodical career and further education talks, we provide students with opportunities to visit post-secondary institutions, participate leadership training camp, and 'Alumni Mentorship Programme'. By means of various channels, we are sure that students can grasp the essence for career and life planning.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : To cater for student diversity, we would adjust the curriculum and assignment, and revise the teaching methodology and assessment methods. We also provide remedial classes for senior forms students and homework sessions for junior forms students after school and adjusted Chinese Language curriculum for non-Chinese speaking students. In the aspect of gifted education, we organize school-based pull-out approach and off-school support programmes. Gifted students are also nominated to join gifted education programmes organized by the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education and tertiary institutions.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Our school has always promoted Integrated Education (IE) in accordance with five basic principles, namely Early Identification, Early Intervention, Whole School Approach (WSA), Home-School Co-operation and Cross-Sector Collaboration. In response to the EDB’s enhanced measures on integrated education, the Learning Support Team was established and a teaching assistant specifically employed to cater for students with special needs.
Academically, our school adopts a flexible approach in making good use of the Learning Support Grant and other (internal and external) resources to provide diverse assistance to students with individual learning needs. In addition to homework and assessment accommodation, support also comprises literacy tutoring and guidance service for teachers offered by the educational psychologists of the Education Bureau, aiming to employ and implement effective teaching and learning strategies to enhance students’ academic outcomes.
The Learning Support Team, besides, cares about our teachers and the students’ well-beings (including our Non-Chinese students with special education needs), thus we collaborate well with higher education institutes to strengthen the students’ awareness and understanding of mental health. Through various kinds of programmes and the individual psychological counselling service offered by Hong Kong Shue Yan University, our students’ emotional needs and their wellness can be fully supported in a positive school climate.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school; and hiring additional manpower and/or translation/interpretation services to facilitate the communication with parents.
(4) Measures to provide adaptation for learning and assessment : Assessment is conducted not only in tests and examinations, but also in daily classroom performance, homework and project work in order to assess those abilities that cannot be evaluated from written tests. This can encourage students to participate in diversified learning activities and thus develop their abilities in various aspects.
(5) Fee Remission : Our school offers full school fee remission or 1/2 school fee remission. Needy students, including those from families receiving the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) and students receiving financial assistance provided by the Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFAA) could apply for fee remission.

Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : PTA convenes meetings regularly. PTA organizes seminars and social gatherings for parents and teachers so as to strengthen the communication between them and enhance the cooperation between home and school. Class teachers keep regular contact with parents via the parents' days, school intranet and telephone.
(2) School Ethos : The school ethos is positive, with emphasis on good discipline and moral education. Moral education is imparted in normal lessons, weekly morning assembly and weekly school assembly. Junior forms students are required to take lunch at school. Through extra-curricular activities, we could cultivate various interests of the students, develop their potentiality and mould their character. Experienced counselling teachers and trained social worker can provide advice on further education, career choice and life skills.
Future Development
(1) School Development Plan : Enhance the information technology facilities in order to promote e-learning, set up specific team to promote STEAM education.
(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : The Staff Development Day is held twice a year. Academics are invited to speak in seminars. The school also encourages teachers to pursue further study and attend seminars and workshops. We also arrange collaborative lesson preparation, peer lesson observation and peer sharing of teaching experiences.
Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, extra-curricular activities, co-curricular activities, etc.) : Life-wide learning experiences, such as visits and field studies of different key learning areas, exchange programmes to visit Mainland China and other countries, 36 groups of extra-curricular activities, classified into 5 types: academic, service, art, interest and sport, are provided to help students to gain the essential learning experiences of intellectual development, moral and civic education, community service, physical and aesthetic development and career-related experiences. Certificate courses such as professional IT training, first aid, mountaineering and orienteering will be provided to broaden students' horizons. Holistic education has always been one of our school’s focuses, our school-based co-curricular activities cultivate students’ interest in culture, sports, and arts.
Others : We place great emphasis on intellectual and physical growth of our students. They are encouraged to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Professional instructors are hired to guide our students, while our teachers serve as advisors. For extra-curricular activities, our Girl Drum Band and Badminton Team had won many prizes in inter-school competitions. We also organise exchange programme for students to visit Mainland China and other countries, in order to broaden their field of vision.

Remarks : There are Chinese and English streams in junior forms. In senior forms, students are assigned to different classes according to their language ability and choice of elective subjects and are taught either in Chinese or English.
