| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | In line with the refined NSS language policy, steps are taken to enhance students' language proficiency. Extra resources are devoted to boosting the learning of both English Language and Chinese Language in forms of after-school oral practice, speech festival, verse-speaking and drama competition. Extended English learning activities and Language Arts are organized cross-curricular with subjects, except Chinese History, Chinese Language, and Putonghua. Every effort is made to create an English-rich learning ambiance and strengthen students' language proficiency, as exemplified from subsidizing students for language programs like Summer English language Courses and overseas English study tours. To maximize study and career opportunities, S.6 students are subsidized for various mock examinations. |
| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | Learning Strategies: 1. Learner-centered teaching. S.1 & S.2 Lunchtime English Read-aloud Program. 2. Engage multi-modal diversified learning through project across subjects and reading across curriculum. 3. The NETs also serve as class teachers for junior form classes to create a conducive English learning environment. 2. Junior Form Curricula are enhanced and school-based materials are devised to cater to students of different abilities and to bridge the junior and senior form curricula. 3. Small group teaching is adopted to cater for learner diversity. Students are grouped based on their abilities for Chinese, English and Mathematics classes. 4. Reading is promoted through the Extensive Reading Award Scheme and Online Reading Programmes. 5. Morning Reading Sessions are arranged to further develop students' reading habits. In junior secondary, we implement Reading Across the Curriculum by reading various English materials on different topics and completing comprehension exercises which help students acquire knowledge from other subjects, and enhance their English proficiency. 6. The school-based Language Arts course enhances junior and senior form students' language skills by supplementing reading materials and speaking practices such as debates and drama. |

| (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education | : | Our school is committed to establishing an inclusive culture and supports students with special educational needs through a "whole school approach" .We provide diverse support services to enhance students' learning effectiveness. Our school flexibly utilizes the "Learning Support Grant" alongside other resources to hire additional staff, including teachers and counselors, and to purchase professional services, such as executive functioning groups and career planning groups for student support. The "Student Support Team" is led by the coordinator for special educational needs and includes a school-based educational psychologist, a school-based speech therapist, two special education support teachers, three subject heads, five main subject teachers, and two counselors. This team provides comprehensive support for students with special educational needs. The school offers Chinese and English literacy groups for these students, with main subject teachers providing review classes before exams. We also tailor learning, homework, and assessment adjustments based on students' specific learning needs, helping them through interdisciplinary collaboration and providing individual learning plans. We place great importance on home-school cooperation, regularly arranging for dedicated teachers to communicate with parents. The school-based speech therapist also offers professional advice to parents regarding home support strategies. |
