School Facilities : The Millennium school building consists of 5 standard science laboratories, 2 computer rooms, a STEAM Lab, a StarLab, a well-resourced library, a geography room, a music room and 2 visual arts rooms.

Apart from the hall, the school is equipped with a multipurpose hall named KePLACE, a dance room, a campus TV studio, a football pitch, a full basketball court, 2 half basketball courts, 2 climbing walls, a long jump pitch and 3 canteens.

The sustainable Dormitory and Facility Extension Block consists of a swimming pool, 2 gymnasiums, a lecture theatre, a chapel and a student dormitory.

Secondary One Admission : Our school will not accept discretionary places. Our school will not participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : 1. We organize orientation meetings for S.1 intakes and their parents to help them familiarize themselves with the school and teachers.

2. We offer an English Enhancement Program, taught by Native English-speaking teachers prior to the beginning of the new school year. This week-long program will help students immerse into their English learning environment.

3. We provide a vivacious English Literature Studies curriculum and integrate language arts such as poetry, short stories and drama, into the S.1 English Language Curriculum. Both serve as advanced preparation for the Senior Secondary Curriculum.

(1)School's Major Concerns : Major concerns of this school year:

(2) School Management Organisation : The school was founded by United Christian College Limited through the unified efforts of OMS International, Free Methodist Mission and Schools For Christ Foundation. The members of the School Management Committee are enthusiastic in Christian school education. They adopt an open-minded and transparent approach in managing the school. Under their supportive leadership, a conglomeratic team culture is formed.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : The school has been incorporated. The SMC board members are made up of five professional representatives from the sponsoring body, the principal, vice-principal and school chaplain (teacher representatives), one parent and three individual members.
(4) School Green Policy : The new Dormitory and Facility Extension Block completed in 2009 is an exemplary sustainable building, which has incorporated the 4-R conservation principles: Reduce, Renew, Reuse and Recycle. Campus greenery like rooftop garden, external vertical planting walls, decorative plantings, energy saving measures like minimizing the use of lighting and air-conditioning, are all parts of the educational tools to form students' habits to live a more sustainable life style. Furthermore, the school has installed weather monitoring system and renewable energy generators to facilitate environmental protection education.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : We are an EMI school. Most of the academic subjects are taught in English. Some Chinese classes are taught in Putonghua. Besides, Japanese and French are offered as third language options.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : We emphasize Biblical teaching, training in bi-literate and trilingual proficiency and thinking skills. We provide a diversified curriculum.
To develop students' active learning habits and help them build good characters, we introduce the following:
1. Establishing learning communities;
2. Using IT to promote interactive learning;
3. Broadening the learning sky and conglomerating social resources so that students' learning becomes more authentic and diversified;
4. Developing a school-based STEAM program to equip students with related skills;
5. Developing self-regulated learning attitude to enhance learning effectiveness.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 2X and 3X. Other than the four core subjects, students can choose 2X or 3X from each subject group (each subject group contains six to seven DSE elective subjects).

(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : 1. We have a well-equipped library, innovative library program and reading program to help students read extensively.

3. The dormitory curriculum is enriched to enhance students' collaborative skills.
4. Our Bible and Religious activities set a moral framework for students; activities are held to strengthen moral, national and civic education.

Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : The Dream Project aims to encourage students to realize their dreams by providing financial assistance and support for their self-initiated projects. Participating students took the initiative to plan and manage their projects under teachers’ supervision. Previous contents of their proposal were diverse, including making animation and comics for education, making a movie clip to teach ice-skating, making music to encourage others who were in need and learning a new software to broaden their abilities. All proposals were successfully executed and all students attained a very fruitful experience.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : In addition to employing an educational psychologist, our school also hire clinical psychologist to address the diverse learning and emotional needs of our students.
In order to provide more comprehensive support tailored to individual needs, along with our existing two social workers, we are also bringing on board one additional social worker and two student counselors. Their roles will focus on supporting our students' learning and personal growth.
The school’s student support team conducts a variety of group activities, including social groups, executive function training, and expressive arts groups and so on. These activities aim to foster students' skill development and help alleviate the pressures that come with the learning process, creating a more supportive and nurturing environment for all students.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school. Our school is provided with additional funding to provided support for our non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students with special educational needs (SEN).
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : For students diagnosed with special learning needs, there will be moderation in tests and exams; examples of measures taken are lengthening of the assessment time, giving short breaks for long papers and exempting students from taking exams in certain subjects.
(5) Fee Remission : Our school offers full school fee remission or 1/2 school fee remission. Needy students, including those from families receiving the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) and students receiving financial assistance provided by the Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFAA) could apply for fee remission.
- Newly admitted students could apply for the school fee remission after 2 week(s) of commencement of the new school year. Application results will be announced within 1 month(s) after submission of applications. Families with emergent needs may apply even after deadline.

Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : The school has developed a close partnership with parents. The PTA is well established to support parents and the school. The Parent-Teacher Happy Hour is a precious time for teachers and parents to get together regularly.
(2) School Ethos : Founded on Biblical principles, we endeavour to establish a modest and caring school ethos through the love, guidance and firm discipline of the teachers. In order to take care of the diverse needs of the students, the school has implemented a 'Form teacher and Assistant Form Teacher' partnership system and stationed Educational Psychologist, social workers and student counselors in the school. We also maintain close contact with parents via PTA, Parent-Teacher Happy Hour, S.1 Parents Breakfast with Principal, Parents' Night, Parents' Day and Parent Class. We are dedicated to promoting parents education. Our school church United Christian Community Church organizes Parents Class to help equip parents with the skills necessary for parenting their adolescent children.
Future Development
(1) School Development Plan : 1. To strengthen the use of blended learning strategies to promote self-directed learning;
2. To enhance Reading across the Curriculum (RaC) and extensive reading to extend learning beyond lesson time;
3. To expand the learning capacity of the more able students through differentiation and gifted programs;
4. To engage all stakeholders in the positive education development;
5. To evaluate and implement structured values education.
6. To strengthen the national and civic education in the school.
(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : 1. To help teachers reflect on their learning & teaching and student development through conducting action research.
2. To mentor the newly joined teachers and to equip the middle managers.
3. To develop the differentiated appraisal system.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : We have Student Council, four Houses, various clubs and interest groups; we offer different sports teams, instrumental classes, orchestra, choir and Christian fellowship; and we organize a wide range of training camps, visits, services, trips and exchange programs (local, Mainland and overseas) to widen our students' horizons and to nurture their leadership, talents, positive values and sense of responsibility.
Others : The Characteristics of Junior Secondary:
1. Class size of about 33, teacher-student ratio is 1:11;
2. The English curriculum is a mix of local syllabus and Literature in English;
3. STEAM curriculum is provided;
4. The Reading Program for S.1 to S.3 helps students cultivate good and life-long reading habits;
5. The Music subject consists mainly of string instrumental and vocal training;
6. Humanities subjects like World History, Geography, Chinese History and Life and Society, and Science subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology are taught in block systems to strengthen students’ basic knowledge while minimizing students’ workload of having to take three subjects in the same key learning area in an academic session;
7. The third Language options are Japanese and French;
8. if the number of students attaining a certain level of proficiency in Putonghua justifies the need, 1 or 2 classes in each form will use Putonghua as the medium of instruction for Chinese Language.
