School Facilities : Our school has the latest school building design (Year 2000). The high speed computer network was installed so that students can learn through the Campus Digital TV Studio. All the classrooms were installed with Wi-Fi, computers and large-screen televisions. Tablet computers are used to assist students' learning in the classroom. Self access learning computers were installed in public areas so that students can control and monitor their own learning progress via the computers. Fully air-conditioned Jabbok Sports Science and Fitness Centre was established for physiological data analysis to determine performance parameters during activities such as cycling, running and rowing. Our school hall was installed with a large LED display screen and synchronous display large-screen televisions. The IoT system replaced the traditional electricity control panel. As a result, our students can enjoy and engage in whole-school activities with a better environment and higher-quality facilities.

Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).The selection criteria are mainly based on students' conduct, academic performance and students' learning enthusiasm. (Conduct 40%; Academic Performance 40%; Interview Performance 20%)
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : During the summer, we arranged a parents’ talk to assist parents of their students' current schooling situation as a secondary school student and develop the learning habits. At the beginning of every year, the school will arrange an orientation period for the students to adapt and prepare for the upcoming academic year. Counselling Prefects from senior forms are willing to support students to enjoy their new school life. The school also provides two class teachers for classes to facilitate pastoral care for the students.
Concerning the healthy eating habits of students, the school has established a special committee aiming at monitoring the nutritional value, taste and students' hygienic habits of students. Our tuck shop is strictly not allowed to sell any soft drinks or any deep fried snacks; parents are also encouraged to provide their own healthy lunches. The school joins the “On-site meal portioning” programme organized by the Environmental Protection Department to avoid disposable containers and cutlery and reduce food waste.
The school also encourages healthy living and participation in physical exercises regularly through Food and Nutrition Lesson and Physical Education Lesson.

School Management

(2) School Management Organisation : The IMC carries out “school-based management” which lets the main committees in the school to decide and establish the most suitable goal and policy for the school. It is also highly concerned about the professional development of the teaching fellows and to provide them with professional training. Besides, it also highlights the importance of communication between the school and the parents, which helps to produce a perfect learning environment for students.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : The incorporated management committee was formed to guarantee the implementation of school mission and smooth operating in schools' administration. Besides the School Sponsoring Managers, the Incorporated Management Committee also comprises Teacher and Alternate Teacher Managers and will invite graduates as Alumni Manager in the future. Financial and Personnel sub-committees are formed. The regular meeting will be held to help establish and execute optimal decision on different management level.
(4) School Green Policy : The education of environmental protection is a "whole school" policy, which teaches students the importance and the awareness of the environment through various actions and messages delivered by the teachers themselves. The activities and promotions themselves also allow students to experience and consequently, understand the necessity for sustainable development.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : In order to strengthen students’ ability in coping with senior secondary form curriculum and better prepare for further tertiary education, English has been adopted as the medium of instruction in Secondary 1 to Secondary 3 Mathematics and Science. Our school puts emphasis on building up the reading and writing interest and habit to develop students' language abilities. Reading resources with suitable levels are purchased and the strategies are implemented in promotion of the reading and writing atmosphere.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : To cope with students' wide variety of talents and skills, we stress the importance of developing students' critical thinking and problem solving skills. The curriculum in our school is designed with e-learning materials and problem-solving approaches in order to develop their critical and logical thinking abilities and problem solving techniques. These lay the foundation of life-time self-learning skills that students can acquire and create knowledge by themselves. The content in four major domains, knowledge, skills, attitude & affection are integrated together through task-based learning. Teachers in different subjects can co-operate and undergo cross-curricular teaching with suitable themes. Under the integration of curriculum, the subject knowledge can be merged in our daily lives and this makes the learning more meaningful and authentic. Every cycle there are reading sessions to promote the reading atmosphere. The library is abundant in reading materials that captivate and encourage students to read more. Teachers regularly recommend books for students and arrange special events such as World Reading Day to motivate students to share their reading experiences with others.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 3X. Our school provides senior students with a diversified choice of elective subjects to cater for students’ interests, abilities and needs and to equip them for meeting the needs of an ever-changing society.
2. Curriculum highlights: Based on the framework devised by the Curriculum Committee, we flexibly adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of our students and the long-term development of our school. By deploying the school's resources and advantages, we aim at providing our students with the necessary learning experience and developing their generic skills for their lifelong learning and whole-person development.
(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : Our school implements e-learning so extensively that all students have their own tablets as a learning tool in lessons. A variety of learning software, applications and online resources are used to enhance students’ interaction and engagement. We have introduced the ‘Think & Make’ STEAM program into the junior form curriculum in order to develop students’ creativity and deep learning. Our school has organised various activities to promote reading. Cross-subject Learning is specially designed for Junior Form students to foster their generic skills and encourage the application of knowledge acquired in different subjects. We provide a school-based curriculum that focuses on the cultivation of students in moral, citizenship, national and Christian education. Students should act with affection, cherish their lives, develop positive mindsets, care for other people and nature.
(5) Life Planning Education : Our school adopts a holistic approach on career and life planning, Students know themselves through different activities, aptitude tests, workshops and talks. We hope to inspire our students to plan their future studies and careers in accordance with their abilities and aspirations.

Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : Our school provides students various learning modes, including e-learning, self-directed learning and cooperative learning. Through curriculum adaptation and comprehensive homework policy, students’ learning diversities are catered. Our school also support students with special needs by providing after school remedial classes to build learning confidence and motivations.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Our school aims at building an inclusive and caring campus with the whole school approach. The school established the Inclusive Education Committee (Student Support Team) including the vice principal, SENCO, teachers and counsellor with training in catering students with special needs, teaching assistants, social workers and educational psychologist, which provides collaborative support for facilitating students’ learning effectiveness. Special arrangement on formative and summative assessment is made for student learning diversities. By the optimal use of the Learning Support Grant, the school employs extra manpower in teaching, purchases professional services (including speech therapy and parent education) and organises interest groups for student personal growth and career explorations.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : In continuous assessments, the school provide assessment policy to show students' multi Intelligences. In summative assessments, adaptations will be given according to the needs of our students so that they can be encouraged to show their strength.
Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : Home-School Committee aims at gathering parents and promoting communication between parents and school by organizing social activities, courses for parental education, workshops, open class, Parents’ Day and annual general meeting. The parent representatives in the Parent-Teacher Association and the Incorporation Management Committee can discuss and make suggestions to the school.
(2) School Ethos : We advocate a whole-person education based on biblical truths. We aim at educating our students to have a positive attitude towards life. Our school emphasizes both discipline and love in our education. We practise strict rules and promote a loving atmosphere. Through close collaboration between the Pastoral Care Committee and Counseling Committee, and with the help of the 'Two class teachers' policy, our teachers are able to develop an effective student growth support network. Moreover, there are a wide range of schemes to develop students’ virtue, conduct award schemes and student leadership training schemes, to enhance our students' self-esteem, self-confidence, exemplary conduct and love for others.

(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : The Self-Evaluation and Development Committee is in charge of coordinating professional development of teachers. The Committee advocates the importance of continued professional development by organizing various seminars, exchange programmes and sharing sessions.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : There are different service groups, including Student Union, Prefect Team, English Association, Library Ambassador, Campus TV Crew, House Committees, Counselling Perfect and Christian Fellowship. There are a wide variety of clubs and societies for the students to join to enrich their school lives. Students are encouraged to join the school teams such as Chinese Debate, English Debate, Choir, Guzheng Ensemble, Athletic, Cross-country, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Indoor Rowing, and are trained to take part in the inter-school competitions.
Others : With the donations from Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the "THE CUMBERLAND PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH HONG KONG PRESBYTERY SCHOLARSHIP" is awarded to students who obtained good grades in their public examinations. We also have "THE LIM MEN YAU MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP" to award students who show continuous improvement in various aspects during the school year. To broaden students’ horizons, study tours and excursions are organized. Destinations we have visited include Mainland China, Australia, UK, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan and Cambodia. Besides, students are participating eagerly in a variety of competitions, including inter-school debate competition, drama competition, video-making competition, sports competitions, in which great results have been achieved.
Direct Public Transportation to School : The School is located near the West Rail Yuen Long station and Yuen Long LRT station and is only a 6 minute walk away.
