| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | In line with the Biliterate Trilingual Policy, our school strives to provide quality teaching to meet students’ needs and nourish their bilingual talents. The adoption of mother-tongue teaching in our junior secondary curriculum helps boost both the confidence and interest of students in learning. We implement a variety of teaching models and strives to improve students' English proficiency. On a gradual basis, our junior secondary curriculum is strategically designed to increase students’ exposure to English. In addition, we run small English classes and after-school remedial courses for our junior students. With the provision of morning reading periods, extensive reading scheme, speech festivals, activities with our native English teacher in English Learning Centre and other English activities, our students are given ample chances to better their English in an appropriate language environment in the campus. |
| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | In addition to small class teaching in core subjects, differentiated instruction is implemented in accordance with students’ academic performance. Our school is implementing "Blended Learning" model to promote self-directed learning in classroom. Students are using media technology to personalise their learning pace to increase the learning effectiveness. We engage specialists in various academic subjects to the school to develop innovative curriculum with school teachers. That brings authentic learning experiences to students through different media and enquiry learning opportunities. We implement "Assessment for Learning" by "Formative" and "Summative" Assessment strategies. Through the curriculum quality assurance mechanism, subject teams will adjust the learning goals and teaching strategies to suit students' learning needs. We also implement national security education through classroom teaching and life-wide learning activities. |

To recognize this aim, we have been actively taking part in EDB’s School-based Support Service Scheme and Seeds Project and collaborating with external organizations to reform our curriculum. These measures are meant to integrate the formal curriculum with the informal and hidden curricula. We hope our students can become more confident and competent throughout the acquisition of learning experiences and the pursuit of whole person development. |

| (1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity | : | The school is committed to build a culture of inclusiveness. It supports students with special educational needs through the Whole School Approach. Students are provided with appropriate and diversified support services to enhance their learning effectiveness and help them integrate into school life. The specific support measures are as follows: (1) set up a "School Support Team to initiate, coordinate and monitor various new measures to cater for students with special educational needs. Streaming of learning groups according to students' academic levels and use of various pedagogies to suit students' learning mode. The quality assurance mechanism is adopted to adjust the curriculum objectives; (2) recruited more teachers, counsellors, and teaching assistants to help implement integrated education through the Whole School Approach and to provide appropriate support like individual help / after-school tutorial classes / remedial classes for students with special educational needs; (3) purchase "Speech Therapy Service" to provide regular group / individual speech therapy / training for students with speech impairments; (4) offer various lectures, training courses, and workshops to enhance the capacity of parents in understanding the learning characteristics of students with special educational needs; (5) organize or launch various courses for teachers to enhance their professional capacity in catering for students with special educational needs. |
| (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education | : | The school has set up a "Student Support Team" to implement integrated education through the Whole School Approach and to provide appropriate support for students with special educational needs. We recruited more teachers, teaching assistants and outsource speech therapy services, literacy training, social training and concentration training courses for students with special educational needs. Different support measures and services such as developing individual learning plans and providing assessment adjustments for students with special educational needs. A variety of assessment adjustments like extra time allowance, enlarged question papers, use of screen readers, use of speech-text-device to input the answers, etc. The school also helps students with special educational needs to apply for special examination arrangements provided by the Hong Kong Examination and Assessment Authority to ensure students with special educational needs are equitably assessed under suitable conditions without having an unfair advantage over other candidates. The school works closely with the Education Bureau as well as school-based educational psychologists to conduct individual meetings and student assessments on a regular basis. Parents are invited to participate in meetings and workshops to develop individual learning plans for students and to regularly review the effectiveness of the programmes. |
| (3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students | : | Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school. Employ teaching assistant to provide after-school Chinese learning support; procure teaching resources; special arrangement for examination papers. |
| (4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment | : | When it comes to evaluating learning progress, we perceive summative assessment and informative assessment are equally important. Our school has split the Chinese, English and Mathematics classes into smaller learning groups to facilitate small class teaching and more collaborative learning. This practice has been extended to S.4-S.6 Liberal Studies. In addition, students are provided with after school tutorial at regular intervals. |
| Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos | ||
| (1) Home-School Co-operation | : | To keep harmonious home-school relationships, we hold two Parents' Days and parents' gatherings for all forms every year. The Parent-Teacher Association has been established for many years to organize various activities, e.g. excursions, parent-child relay, parent education talks and interest classes (cookery, yoga and so on). Moreover, we encourage parents to help the development of the school, watch over the operation of service providers, tenders and miscellaneous expenses. Every year one of our parents is elected by all parents to be the parent school manager in our Incorporated Management Committee. |
| (2) School Ethos | : | The entire school is dedicated to the motto: "Care about each other; Learn from each other". Efforts are made to bond classmates, alumni and schoolmates as cohesive units to live up to our school ethos. Our students project an image of neatness and tidiness; and are always filled with learning enthusiasm and readiness to help. Our devoted teachers have a good rapport with students and always demonstrate a sense of active participation and collaboration inside and outside the school. They endeavour to co-work in their professional community and networks, seek reflective self-evaluation and team collaboration; and that some of the inspiration they generate carries over into practice and excels in our school ethos. |

| (1) School Development Plan | : | To develop an intelligent and green campus: 1. To develop learning spaces that enhance classroom engagement. We shall implement BYOD in junior forms to enhance the effectiveness of learning and teaching, classroom interaction as well as students’ ability in self-directed learning, problem-solving and collaboration. 2. E-school: Catering for learner diversity, Nurturing AI talents, facilitating communication with students, teachers and parents through social media (Slack, Google for Education, eClass, WeChat). 3. Low Carbon Lifestyle: To create a platform generated by Renewable Energy to support organic farming and planting. To promote vegetarian style in school kitchen. To implement whole-school approach recycling policy. |
| (2) Teacher Professional Training and Development | : | Our principal and all our teachers take active part in life-long learning. In-house training sessions, on-the-job workshops, professional sharing, seminars and inter-school visits (both in Hong Kong and overseas) are organized for our staff members. Our school encourages all staff to actively participate in multi-modal continuous professional development and to share what they have learned with their peers. |
| Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) | : | All students are grouped into four houses, class associations and clubs. Clubs are mainly divided into 3 categories: academics, interests and services.
