Secondary One Admission : Our school will not accept discretionary places. Our school will not participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : S1 orientation program and summer bridging courses are organised in the summer vacation which facilitates new students to accommodate to the new school environment and study life. The school has various student development programs, such as Healthy School Program and after-school intervention programs to cater for student needs.

School Management
(1)School's Major Concerns : (1) Raising students’ academic achievement through strategic curriculum and assessment design as well as effective teaching and learning activities.
(2) Nurturing students’ values and qualities to foster whole person development through diversified learning experiences.
(2) School Management Organisation : The School Managers have a wealth of experience in formulating educational policies and blueprints for the school development. The Principal, assisted by the Vice and Assistant Principals who take charge of different work domains, steers and oversees the operation and improvement of the school.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : The SSB and IMC members came from government, business and education background with rich school management and administration experience. Parents, alumni and teachers also join hands in the development of the school.
(4) School Green Policy : Various programmes and activities are organised to convey the message of energy saving and environmental protection to students. The school has participated in the Green Schools 2.0 project and solar panels have been installed. We have launched an interdisciplinary STEAM project on climate change in junior forms to arouse their awareness of environmental protection.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : Apart from Chinese Language, Chinese History and Chinese Literature, other subjects are conducted with English as the medium of instruction. We have a number of teachers coming from overseas with English being their mother tongue. They work together with our local teachers to cultivate an English-rich environment for our students to practise English naturally.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : 1. Student-centred and inquiry-based pedagogies supplemented with interactive tools are adopted to enhance students’ engagement and higher order thinking skills.
2. Small group teaching and flexible grouping are implemented to cater for students’ diverse needs.
3. A variety of extended learning opportunities are provided for students to bolster their learning capability through co-curricular activities, study visits and self-directed learning.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 3X. Students can choose 2 to 3 HKDSE electives (including Spanish Language), Applied Learning courses (including “Multimedia Storytelling” co-organized with HKBU) and joint-school network programmes.
2. Curriculum highlights: Adapted curriculums of Chinese Language and Chinese History for NCS students; Performing Arts (Junior Forms), Spanish language and enhancement programmes on STEAM, IELTs, Art & Creativity, Innovation Technology and Computer Game Design.
(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : 1. Values and national education: It is incorporated into the class teacher periods, weekly and morning assemblies, visits and exchange programmes, as well as infiltrated into daily teaching and some annual events such Chinese Culture Day.
2. Reading across the Curriculum: Morning reading, DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time in English lessons, regular library activities and annual book week are central to student learning, developing their lifelong love of reading and self-directed learning ability.
3. STEAM education and information technology in education: The junior ICT curriculum is kept up to date and targeted at developing students’ information literacy. Various new STEAM initiatives are implemented to fuel students’ curiosity and ignite their innovation. Examples of these include enriched focus on STEAM and Innovation Technology in the science curriculum, STEAM reading activities, junior interdisciplinary STEAM project and a myriad of learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
(5) Life Planning Education : A series of life planning and careers experiential learning programmes are organized to help students to know and develop their interests and abilities, as well as to find their aspirations for further studies and careers. Activities include seminars on life planning, visits to enterprises and tertiary institutions, mock interviews and individual counselling services.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : 1. Junior and senior diversified enhancement programmes for boosting students’ interest and talent development and catering for their different academic needs

(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Our school implements the “Whole School Approach” model to integrated education and adopts a three-tiered support framework to provide appropriate assistance based on the diverse needs of students. We have established a Student Support Committee, which includes the Special Educational Needs Coordinator, subject teachers, and student counsellors. The committee works closely with various departments to support SEN students. We effectively utilise the Learning Support Grant and NCS-SEN Grant to procure professional services and conduct various types of group training. These include clinical psychology services, individual counselling, social skills training, and executive functioning skills training. Additionally, we identify students with special needs and refer them to educational psychologist or speech therapist for appropriate assessment and training. We also arrange examination accommodations for students in need, such as extra time allowance and the use of screen readers and speech-to-text software. We value home-school collaboration and maintain communication with parents through meetings and phone calls to review the support provided to students.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : The school year is divided into two semesters, each of which is concluded with summative assessment. Diversified assessment strategies including meaningful homework are adopted to facilitate students' learning regularly.
(5) Fee Remission : Our school offers full school fee remission or 1/2 school fee remission. Needy students, including those from families receiving the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) and students receiving financial assistance provided by the Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFAA) could apply for fee remission.

Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : Parent-Teacher Association was established since 1992. The aims of PTA are to establish parent support network, to enhance home-school communication and to support school development. It organises parents' talks and activities to facilitate the nurturing of children.
(2) School Ethos : The school ethos is to cultivate a healthy, caring and inclusive culture where students can strive to learn to love, to serve and in the world to shine.

(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : The school places great emphasis on in-school teacher professional development, with mentoring programme for new teachers, numerous professional exchange channels including peer observation and sharing of good practices, as well as school-based teacher training programmes in place. Teachers are also encouraged and sponsored to attend local and overseas professional development activities.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : The school has established many school teams, uniform groups, and interest clubs to help students explore their potentials. In addition to various student-led activities and posts of office-bearers, students’ leadership skills and service learning spirit are also bolstered through external elite leadership training programmes and volunteering services. A variety of co-curricular activities, such as museum visits, field trips, specialised STEAM programmes and off-campus gifted courses, are offered. Experiential Learning Week and exchange tours to the Mainland, including our sister school (Shunde Law Ting Pong Secondary School) and other countries, are organized every year for students to broaden their horizons and draw inspirations.
