Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).Admission Criteria: Interview 30%; Academic achievement 20%; Conduct 20%; Comments 10%; Extracurricular activities and Awards 20%. |
| Orientation Activities and Healthy Life | : | Orientation Activities: A school adaptation and academic studies class is held during summer holiday. An orientation day for S.1 students is held at the weekend before school resumes. 5 days are reserved for orientation and activities at the beginning of the school year for S.1 students. Our school will organize an extended curriculum for Form 1 students in the first semester. After-school activities will be held to promote academic, extracurricular, service, and personal development, allowing the Form 1 students to integrate into the campus as soon as possible. Our school is very concerned about the physical and mental health of students, aiming at launching a series of activities to enhance physical as well as mental health development of our students over the years, such as "Healthy Diet", "Prevention of Diseases" and the "No Drugs campus". |

| (2) School Management Organisation | : | School-based management is implemented in our school. The Incorporated Management Committee has been incorporated since 1 August 2006. We have already reformed the administrative structure of our school in order to strengthen the efficiency of management. On top of that, the School Administrative Board has been formed with teachers' participation in formulating policy. |

Students are encouraged to keep the school clean and tidy, to save water and electricity, to carry out various recycled learning activities, setting up Green Cafeteria helps reduce kitchen waste and using reusable utensils promotes green environment. Our school was also subsidized by the Environment and Conservation Fund for upgrading work and installing the necessary equipment for "on-site meal portioning". For education, our school installed two solar energy generation systems. |

| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | Students always come first when we formulate our language policy. We aim at helping our students master Chinese, English and Putonghua. While Chinese remains our medium of instruction, English learning tops our priority list too. As mother tongue education facilitates the learning of subject knowledge, besides English Language, all other subjects are taught in Chinese. Also, the school wisely deploys its resources to work out an all-round and sustainable plan to create a language rich environment to enhance students' interest and initiative in English language. |
| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | We design our curriculum based on the Curriculum Guide issued by the Education Bureau, taking into account the background situation of the school. In junior forms, the emphasis is placed on language building so as to facilitate studies in senior forms. Our S.1-S.3 students can enhance their competence in English, Chinese and Mathematics through our School-based Remedial Support Programme, which helps tackle their difficulties in studies. Moreover, we have adopted a small class size, streaming policy to cater for students' learning diversity. |

Curriculum highlights: We closely work with the Quality School Improvement Project of CUHK in areas of Chinese, English, Mathematics, Biology and Economics to further improve school curriculum and teaching resources so as to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness. |
| (4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum | : | Thanks to "Project WeCan" sponsored by the Wharf Group, we now have a CSA Home. It gives students the feeling and warmth of a second home, Organizing day camps and overnight camps which help foster self-discipline, communication skills and a sense of belonging. Apart from putting weekly “Reading Scheme” and “Sharing of Reading in Classroom” into the school curriculum in order to build up our students’ reading habit, extra efforts have been put to create more space for reading, to help students take the initiative to read and to enjoy the fun of reading. Our school supports Information Technology for Interactive Learning and Collaborative learning, to promote knowledge sharing and building. They are encouraged to learn proactively on their own. Besides, project learning activities are arranged for S.1 to S.3 students. Students are divided into groups, and hand in reports as well as do presentation in class. Our school tries to nurture our students the four core values: Diligence, Trustworthiness, Compassion and Fairness as stated in our school motto, ten values and attitudes and 24 positive character strengths to strengthen moral education, and to cultivate honest and responsible citizens. In recent years, our school has made an effort to strengthen the sense of national identity among our students through involving them in different learning experiences. Moreover, the school encourages our students to participate in community services so as to develop a sense of belonging to our community. |
| (5) Life Planning Education | : | Using the concept of “life planning” as the basis for careers and counselling projects, our school emphasizes the idea of learning through experience. With small counselling group and interactive activities, we let students go through 3 stages (self understanding and development, career exploration, and career planning and management) to understand their own needs and build up their preliminary life goals. In light of the unique situations and growth needs of junior and senior secondary students, the school starts helping students shape their lives in a systematic way when they are in junior forms. Careers talks, trial lessons of S.4 electives, visits to workplace, workshops, overseas study tours, and a 2-week workplace experience have been provided to students together with the needed information so as to let students know more career paths and enhance their confidence and competitive edge. Students can therefore foster a sense of responsibility towards themselves as well as the society and also the right attitude. With broadened horizons, they can equip themselves with the integrity and ability that suit the society and then pursue their dreams in a planned and more practical way. |

| (1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity | : | Small-class teaching is adopted in our school. We stream our students according to their ability so as to cater for learning diversity. For students with special educational needs (SENs), teaching assistants will offer personal help during lessons. Besides, we have successfully applied for a speech therapist, an educational psychologist, a counsellor, an expressive arts therapist and a clinical psychologist for better care of students. Different after-school tailor-made supplementary courses and interest groups have been organized to cater for individual differences. |
| (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education | : | Our school adopts ‘Whole-school Approach’ to implement Integrated Education. By establishing ‘Student Support Team’, which comprises vice principals, the SEN coordinator, SEN support teachers, subject teachers, teaching assistants, etc., and encouraging teachers to enroll in the courses concerned, our school enhances teachers’ competence in Integrated Education. We also flexibly use Learning Support Grant (LSG) and other resources to provide a wide range of support for the students who have special educational needs. The support ranges from recruiting teachers and assistants of Integrated Education, to buying services for students with speech impediment or autism. Through tailoring our curriculum, diversifying teaching strategies, preparing graded homework and exams, we try to embrace students’ learning diversity and boost their learning efficiency. To identify the students who have special educational needs at an early stage, our school has those who perform comparatively badly in 1st Term Unified Test undergo an assessment of reading and writing. In collaboration with professionals from EDB and educational psychologists, we regularly have meetings and conduct students’ assessments, and invite parents to join meetings and workshops. Together we tailor learning plans and regularly review the effectiveness of them so that parents grasp the skills of taking care of and teaching their children. |
| (3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students | : | Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school. |
| (4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment | : | Our school focuses on progressive assessment and continuous feedback in respect to “Teaching and Learning”. There are 2 school terms and the weighting for Continuous Assessment and Examination is 30% and 70% respectively. | (1) Home-School Co-operation | : | The school and the school Parent Teacher Association frequently organize many home-school activities, including S.1 parents' oriental day, S.1 parents’ night, after-school interest groups, breakfast meetings for parents, lesson observation by parents, family poon choi dinner, parents’ outings, open day, parents' day, seminars for parents, etc. so as to enhance communication and co-operation between the school and parents. Moreover, there is a parent manager in IMC, in which parents’ opinions can be fully expressed. |
| (2) School Ethos | : | The school emphasizes simplicity. In a harmonious campus, students learn and listen. With various reward systems and passion, the school manages to instill positive values into its students. In addition, we improve students’ sense of responsibility and civil awareness through extracurricular activities and community services. The school has been provided with 2 on-site social workers and 1 discipline and counseling assistant to cater for the various needs of students. Besides, the school has established a Learning Support Group, has had 2 inclusive education assistants, a speech therapist, an educational psychologist, a counsellor and a clinical psychologist to offer help in learning as well as personal growth. Also, with our whole-school approach, we organize programmes like the Happiness Ambassador Programme, home visits, teacher training, parents’ seminars, and so on to promote our culture of inclusiveness. |

The School is honoured to be one of the fourteen secondary schools selected by Wharf (Holdings) Limited to participate in “Project WeCan”, a six-year programme starting 2011/12, in which each school receives a funding of $2.5 million per year. The programme is extended to 2023-2024. The amount provided per year will be $200,000. 2. The school has successfully applied for Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged. A lump-sum of around $2,900,000 has been granted for 2015-16, 2016-2019 and 2019-2022. 3. The School received the Honours Award (2018-2019) and Improvement Award (2022-2023) in Hi-Five Student Engagement Award Scheme. 4. Pang Zixin participated in the Hong Kong Outstanding Students Award 2022-2023 and was selected as one of Hong Kong's Ten Outstanding Students. 9. Students from our school represented Hong Kong in the RoboGames 2024 in Los Angeles, USA, and won the championship in the humanoid robot freestyle event. 10. Our Marching Band received the Gold Award in Joint-school Music Competition 2022-Marching Band. 11. Our Dancing Group received the Honours Award in the 59th Schools Dance Festival, the Gold Award in The 36th Kwai Tsing District Dance Competition, the Gold Award in The 37th The Open Dance Contest, the Champion of 42th Dance Competition organised by Central & Western District. 12.
