Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).Admission Criteria and Weightings for S.1 Discretionary Places: EDB rank order, academic results, performance in extra-curricular activities and conduct, interview performance. Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : We organize "S.1 Orientation Summer Camp" to boost students' resilience and self-confidence, aiding their adaptation to a new learning environment. The program introduces them to the school's values of care, appreciation, confidence, self-respect, and excellence, reinforcing their sense of belonging. At the start of the school year, various strategies help new students integrate into campus life.
When selecting school food suppliers, we emphasize balanced diets and environmental sustainability, overseen by the Catering & Nutrition Committee. Through a whole-school approach, we encourage students, parents, and staff to adapt to changing times and utilize resources wisely, fostering a positive and healthy lifestyle, respecting family roles, and promoting family harmony.

School Management
(1)School's Major Concerns : 1. To optimize learning, teaching and assessment strategies, boosting learning effectiveness and outcome.

(2) School Management Organisation : The School implements school-based management with administrative organisations namely General Affairs Department, Academic Development Department, Student Development Department and School Development Department. Teachers with different talents join various committees and manage school together as a team.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : The IMC of our school was formally established in June, 2009, in accordance with the Education Ordinance (Cap. 279). It comprises 13 school managers, including teacher managers, parent managers and alumni manager.
(4) School Green Policy : Our school attaches great importance to promoting environmental protection and sustainable development as part of our community responsibility. We are committed to implementing green policies in various areas, including procurement, food, cleaning, energy conservation, recycling, and reuse. Through a range of initiatives and activities, we instil green living concepts in students, such as plastic reduction, cherishing life, and renewable energy. Students are also provided with ample opportunities to engage in these practices. For instance, our school participates in the “Solar Harvest” project, successfully installing a solar power generation system, which has been expanded to cover the entire school rooftop, as part of the “Feed-in Tariff Scheme” of the CLP Power Hong Kong Limited, encouraging students to save energy and protect the environment.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : We foster bilingualism as part of our commitment to holistic education. We are dedicated to promoting a balanced approach to learning both Chinese and English across different levels. At the junior forms, the main medium of instruction is the mother tongue, while at the senior levels, the medium of instruction is tailored to the nature of each subject, employing either Chinese or English. Through a variety of initiatives and activities, we provide students with a rich environment to enhance their English language skills, including an English Reading Program, English Wednesdays, oral practices, activities in our English Learning Centre, and regular thematic English events. Additionally, we are actively engaged in cultivating a reading culture to improve writing skills in both Chinese and English, ensuring students have ample opportunities to develop their language capabilities in a comprehensive and engaging manner.

(5) Life Planning Education : 1. To provide one-on-one academic and career counseling to cater to the developmental needs of students at different stages.
2. To design school-based curriculum and organize activities such as orientation events, stage-specific academic guidance, college visits and fairs, and workshops on interview strategies to promote their career planning and development, helping them unleash their individual potential.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : Our school has established a Student Learning Support Group to cater for learner diversity.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Our Student Support Team is dedicated to planning, implementing, and reviewing support for integrated education, as well as formulating the 'School-based Integrated Education Policy.' To address students' needs, the team also arranges special accommodations for both internal and public examinations.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : We provide counselling, referral services, and professional assessments for students with special educational needs. Individualized arrangements during lessons and examinations are tailored specifically for them.
Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : Participating in school-based management by various means, parents collaborate closely with us to nurture the next generation, further enhancing home-school cooperation.
(2) School Ethos : A robust school ethos has been established. Through the form teacher and class master systems, students' academic performance is enhanced, and their moral standards are strengthened. Our school fosters a caring and loving environment to promote a healthy and positive outlook on life with initiatives such as the Sunshine Class Project and a merit-award system. Additionally, students can participate as helpers in various activities, fostering a sense of belonging to the school and boosting their self-confidence.
Future Development
(1) School Development Plan : With an emphasis on academic excellence, we are committed to enhancing the English learning environment and strengthening gifted education to build a talent pool that supports students in achieving excellence. We aim to foster students’ parallel development in both the arts and innovation. By encouraging the mindset of “Dream BIG, Aim HIGH,” we guide students to make the most of their six years at school, empowering each one to realize their dream of tertiary education.
(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : Every year, we organize staff development days and inter-school staff development days where experts and scholars are invited to exchange ideas with teachers with a view to widening teachers' scope of educational knowledge and elevating their professionalism. Field trips or visits are also arranged to meet the purpose. Besides, we encourage teachers to pursue further education. Collaborative lesson planning sessions are held in all subject departments. The use of iPad in teaching will be implemented in all classrooms step by step to promote professional sharing of experiences.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : Our school features a Student Union and students are grouped into four houses. Extracurricular activities are categorized into five streams: academic, moral education, arts, sports, and service. We actively encourage student participation in a wide range of activities, including project-based learning, Sports Day, singing contests, school choir, dance competitions, debate teams, Chinese painting and oil painting classes, Maths-Science Week, Speech Festivals, art appreciation events, school picnic, and ball games, all aimed at unleashing students’ full potential. Additionally, we arrange annual exchange programs to mainland China and other countries, as well as visits to various museums, to broaden students’ horizons and help alleviate academic stress.
Others : Our school sets much store by academic excellence, having invested millions to construct a university-grade lecture theatre for seminars and co-curricular activities. We are devoted to promoting cultural arts and comprehensive experiences to create an artistic atmosphere on campus, enhancing students' appreciation and interest in the arts. Our achievements in technological research are outstanding, with our school representing Hong Kong in various international competitions for consecutive years, earning numerous accolades.
