Secondary One Admission : Our school will not participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).S.1 Admission Criteria: 1. Conduct; 2. Academic performance; 3. Non-academic performance; 4. Interview performance: Chinese and English presentation and Math ability.
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : The school organizes S.1 Orientation Activities in August. New students will know their school, class teachers and classmates early. They will be engaged to help build class climate - creating a bully-free, mutual helping, cohesive, self-disciplined and self-managing classroom culture.

(1)School's Major Concerns : The school pursues the fulfillment of ACTS Mission - helping every student develop adequately in academic attainment, character building, talent development and spiritual growth.
(2) School Management Organisation : To increase the transparency and accountability of the school organization, the membership of SMC comprises school managers appointed by SSB, a teacher representative, a parent representative, and an independent/community representative. The school adopts 3-tier management structure, nurturing the first, second and third tier of teacher leadership team. (4) School Green Policy : The school building is an energy saving design. The school has made every effort to practise and educate students about the concept of 3Rs - reduce, reuse and recycle - to manage the school. For examples, the school adopts the use of e-circulars; encourages students to bring their water own bottles and eating utensils; and installs food waste machine, etc.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : The school emphasizes both Chinese and English. She adopts English as the main medium of instruction as well as promotes the learning of PTH so that students might master the two most common spoken languages in the world, reducing the language to enable our students to visit China and the world. The school adopts Cantonese as the medium of instruction in Chinese so as to foster the development of skill/understanding of speaking, reading, writing, listening, morality, aesthetics, high order thinking, culture, literature and self-learning.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : The school pursues professionalism in teaching - requiring subject committees to set clear essential learning targets; using target-oriented and psychologically appropriate teaching and learning materials; prepare well-selected tasks for students to conduct deep learning; implementing student-centred classroom teaching; developing students from instruction, coaching to independent learning; nurturing students into independent learners; assessing students with diversified assessment mode; providing students with feedback; making use of differentiated learning tasks, online reading as well as peer tutoring support to cope with learning diversity.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 3X. The school sets up combinations of science, arts and commercial subjects. Students are given flexibility to choose the third elective so as to fulfill the purpose of learning arts in science and learning science in arts.

(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : 1. Help children develop proficiency in both Chinese and English so as to prepare for living in China and the world.
2. Implement Moral & Civic Education based on biblical principles, Chinese Culture Values and the 10 priority attitudes/values proposed by EDB.
3. Help children develop Academic Attainment MMA - developing their learning motivation, metacognition and academic accomplishment.
(5) Life Planning Education : 1. Make arrangements for students to visit different occupations or participate in internship scheme.
2. Help students understand themselves through doing psychological questionnaires so as to help them to make informed choices in subject selection or tertiary studies.
3. Make arrangements for students to visit local universities and attend talks on admission to tertiary institutions.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : 1. Design differentiated learning tasks (e.g. Benchmarking Task & Star Task) to cater for the learning needs of students with different abilities.
2. Conduct enrichment and remedial classes.
3. Conduct gifted education.
4. Implement the Peer Tutoring Support Scheme.
5. Implement Independent Learner Award Scheme.
6. Motivate Students' Learning through regular feedback from monthly Attitude Mark Scheme.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : The multi-disciplinary student support team formed by our educational psychologist, Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCO), teachers, social workers and teaching assistants is responsible for leading and mobilizing whole school’s effort on the development in catering for learners’ diversity. In catering for the special educational needs (SEN) of individual students, school adopts the 3-tier intervention model which includes Tier 1: quality teaching as well as accommodation in assignment and assessment, Tier 2: pull out training programs on learning, behavioral & social adjustment etc. and Tier 3: individualized educational plan.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : The school makes use of diversified assessment modes to assess student learning. Every year, the school conducts 2 term examinations mainly in form of paper-and-pencil tests. The school also conducts continuous formative assessments mainly in form of tests, performance assessments through daily teaching, sharing of learning project learning and homework.
(5) Fee Remission : Our school offers full school fee remission, 3/4 ot 1/2 school fee remission. Needy students, including those from families receiving the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) and students receiving financial assistance provided by the Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFAA) could apply for fee remission.

Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : The school has set up PTA (a parent representative per grade), and Parent Helper Team. The school has made every effort to promote parent education so that both the school and parents cooperate with each other to educate students.
(2) School Ethos : Based on Chinese cultural values, Biblical truth and the 12 Priority Values/Attitudes of EDB, the school implements Life Value Education so as to help shape children into people with good values, attitudes and habits. The school teaches students to be good neighbours, good learners and servant leaders. The school presents students with diversified awards to recognize their participation, attitude and achievement. The school was awarded by City University of Hong Kong the honor of Most Harmonious Campus - both the primary and secondary schools won the second runner up in the competition; The school was also awarded The Most Joyful Campus Award Scheme: (1) The Most Joyful School, (2) The Most Active Learning School, (3) The Most Potential Releasing School.
