Secondary One Admission	:	Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).Academic performances (including participation and performances in training and learning activities outside school) 30%. Orientation Activities and Healthy Life	:	Comprehensive S.1 Orientation programmes are organized for students and parents. English Bridging Programmes that are taught by Native English-speaking teachers are arranged for S.1 students. S.1-S.3 students take their lunch in school with health food supplied by designated supplier. Our Healthy School Policy promotes healthy lifestyle in our school in terms of healthy diet, smoke-free campus, student health care, contagious diseases prevention, first aid and safety, emergency situation and natural disasters, drug storage and distribution, anti-drug abuse, violence and bullying prevention, equal opportunity, occupational safety and health, prohibition of alcohol, safe use of Internet and prevention of indecent information. School Management
(1)School's Major Concerns	:	Applying the measures related to national security education continually, cultivating students to uphold positive values and using artificial intelligence to promote STEAM education. Fostering the overall healthy culture in school by enhancing students’ sense of well-being and resilience. (2) School Management Organisation	:	The School is managed by the IMC. The organizational structure of the School is based on the 8 Key Learning Areas and the 4 Key Learning Tasks.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee	:	Incorporated Management Committee comprises O.M.I. priests, the three Principals of O.M.I. primary schools, ex-Principal, Parent Managers, Teacher Managers, Alumni Manager and the principal of Notre Dame College.
(4) School Green Policy	:	Our Green Policy in our Healthy School Policy promotes reduction and recycling of waste, to energy saving and air quality improvement measures. The packaging of lunchbox and warping paper of food sold at the tuckshop are recyclable. It effectively reduces wastage and help protect the environment. Students also build up a mindset of protecting our precious world in day-to-day practices.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy	:	Based on students' language learning needs, both English and Chinese groups are organized in strengthening English support in different classes. Unrivaled international network, English-rich learning environment: O.M.I, our sponsoring body, provides strong support on building an unrivaled international network and resources to enhance our English learning environment. Through our network, a higher-than-norm Native English teachers are invited to work closely with our English Team. Students can learn from people of different cultures and enjoy using English as part of their daily school life. Speaking with foreigners becomes a norm in our school. The School has introduced Extended Learning Activities in English for all classes. Students at S.4 and above levels can, based on their academic ability and English standard, choose to study the core and elective subjects in English whenever appropriate.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies	:	Academic excellence is what we always pursue. We have participated in the QAMAS in 2011 to 2020 and was awarded the accreditation. It acknowledges our commitment in providing quality examination and assessment management, and recognizes our excellent effort in delivering high quality examinations and adopting good assessment practices. Our school emphasize on student-focused generic skill-based learning. Reading, writing, learning skills, use of I.T., project-learning and speaking skills are included in the yearly assessment of students' performance. In Four consecutive years, our public examination results in HKDSE (2012-2024) is remarkable. They obtained various offers from local, mainland and Taiwan universities.
(3) School-based Curriculum	:	1. Electives: 2X and 3X. Our school provides 10 HKDSE elective subjects for senior high school students, including: C Hist, Geo, Econ, BAFS, ICT, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, V.A., Mathematics M1 and M2, Some of these subjects adopt English as medium of instruction by groups. Applied Learning courses are also provided. 2. Curriculum highlights: Students are streamed into different classes according to their academic abilities, with top students in one class and others in other classes of mixed abilities. Different classes and subjects will have their own tailor-made curriculum with respect to teaching progress, learning content, exercises, tests and examinations. Since 2021, our school has added a new school-based subject, known as STEAM education for S.1 and 2 students. STEAM topics like Water Rockets, Hovercrafts and AI topics have been included to carry out inquiry-based learning. A co-curricular activity, known as Scientific Inventor, has been organized to set up a platform for students to invent new products or modify existing products to train creative skills. Since 2022, our school has offered School based STEAM: Arduino Certification Courses for S.4 and 5 students who are interested in innovation and technology education and gain an in-depth understanding of the application of innovation and technology technologies.
(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum	:	Through the learning and teaching of various subject courses, strengthen students' values, moral and ethical, civic, national, national security education and other related learning experiences, establish a campus caring culture, and cultivate students' positive values and attitudes to promote their whole-person development so that students become informed and responsible citizens who contribute to the well-being of society, the nation and the world. Actively promote STEAM education to cultivate students' pioneering and innovative spirit, and cooperate with new global education trends to equip students to cope with the changes and challenges brought about by the future society and the rapid development of science and technology around the world. Make good use of information technology to improve the quality of teaching, through the introduction of electronic interactive learning platforms and the installation of advanced multi-point interactive touch displays and visualizers in all classrooms to enhance the quality and effectiveness of teaching.
(5) Life Planning Education	:	There are four categories of Career and Life Planning Activities implemented by the Careers Guidance Team: 1. Form Activities: Life planning education will be conducted in the Life-Wide Learning Periods and visits will be arranged according to the developmental needs of students in different forms. 2. Group Activities: Students will be grouped together with similar career aspiration and aptitude to participate in different programmes such as ApL taster courses, Pre-university programmes, job-tasting/job-shadowing programmes or mentoring scheme, etc. 3. Individual Consultation: Students who want to seek advice on elective selection, university programme choices and career pathways may make individual meetings with Career Teachers. 4. Whole-School Activities: Career prefects will introduce different post-secondary study pathways and occupations during the morning assembly. Career and Life Planning information can be accessed by students and teachers in the career corner in the library, the displayed board in the playground and the career Facebook. Talks and booklets will also be offered to parents in order to introduce the ideas of Career and Life Planning.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity	:	Our Gifted Programme is tailored for students with special talents in sports, science and other areas. The School allocates extra resources including social workers and teaching assistants to take care of students with educational needs. Pastoral care services are provided by social services institutions to small groups and individual students. S.1 to S.3 students are required to stay after school two times a week to attend homework guidance or remedial classes. Students with learner diversity will also be taken care of.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education	:	NDC adopts a whole-school approach in building up an accommodating and inclusive campus where all students are welcomed and their needs are taken care of. Through deploying various fundings and subsidies such as Capacity Enhancement Grant, Learning Support Grant, Grant for Supporting NCS Students with SEN, Top-up Fund, the school provides individualized and diversified supports which aim at promoting the students’ academic performance and enriching their school life. Catering for the students’ diverse learning needs, the school has offered a wide variety of school-based supports. For example, after-school study group to boost the study skills; Chinese reading and writing training group to improve the reading fluency. Educational psychologist is the advisor to the training groups targeting students’ executive functioning, social and communication skills. Individual Education Plan (IEP) and Special Examination Arrangement (SEA) are offered to the students in need. Student support team offers multi-disciplinary support, including vice-principals, SEN coordinator, SEN support teachers, educational psychologist, speech therapist, social workers and teaching assistances. Home-school co-operation is vital to the growth of a child. The school has built up an effective communication platform with parents and regularly invites parents to discuss and review the supports given to the students.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students	:	Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school; and hiring additional manpower and/or translation/interpretation services to facilitate the communication with parents.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment	:	The School adopts a continuous assessment method. The final grade attained in each subject is the yearly total of class-based assignments and quizzes (30-40%) and examination results (60-70%). Results of each terms constitute 50% of the yearly total marks. Reading, Use of I.T., project-learning and speaking skills are also included in the yearly assessment of students' performance.
Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation	:	Parents and Teachers Association comprises of parents and teachers officials, including representatives from the teachers club. Parent representative is also invited to be a member of the Tender Approving Committee, strengthening the understanding and cooperation between parents, IMC and teachers. Parents are also invited to organize activities to improve parent-children relationship and strengthen support to school development.
(2) School Ethos	:	The School upholds the Catholic values and putting emphasis on students' moral values and behaviour. Our school ethos and curriculum design are highly commended in external review. Our pastoral care teams at every level effectively support the growth of our youth. Our school has been awarded Caring School.

(1) School Development Plan	:	Focus of the 3-year plan: 1. Maintaining national security, establishing positive values, enhancing the development of innovation and technology education and improving the effectiveness of learning and teaching; 2. Promoting students’ positive aspiration and wellness development through enhancing school culture of positive thinking; 3. Establishing Professional Sharing Culture, Enhancing Training for Teachers and Improving School Effectiveness.
(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development	:	The staff development team is responsible for supporting the professional development of teachers. Through utilizing teacher's professional development data, Teachers are encouraged to improve management and teaching effectiveness through all possible means.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.)	:	Our school has established more than 30 prefect group, societies and extra-curricular groups to help students develop lifelong learning abilities and achieve the goal of whole-person development in order to face social changes. Prefect group and societies are Catholic Society, Chinese Society, English Society, Mathematics Society, Scientific Inventor, Campus Studio Prefect, Careers Prefect, Moral and National Education Prefect, Library Prefect, IT Prefect, Visual Art Prefect, Music Prefect, Physical Education Prefect. Others	:	Unique learning experience through our international network. Each summer, scholarships from OMI and the school are granted to students to participate in an overseas exchange programme for a period of three weeks, during which they live with their Australian host families, study in Australian high schools and serve as ambassadors to promote our culture. Various study tours are organized each year to mainland China and other countries to enrich students' learning experience. To encourage students with achievement in academics and other special aspects, our alumni association establishes the alumni scholarship. Scholarships are offered for students with excellent achievement academically and those who are in need. Each year more than 200 students are awarded with various alumni scholarships. Our "Can-do Award Scheme" is also a special highlight to encourage students with positive discipline. For newly arrived children from mainland China, extra financial support are offered for help them to get used to their new school life in Hong Kong. In recent years, our students have achieved outstanding results in external competitions. The school's baseball team won the second place both in the Hong Kong Secondary School Baseball Championship and 2023-24 Hong Kong Baseball Open League (Novice) and also won the champion in Local Baseball5 Competition(Secondary school).The school’s men’s softball team won the second place in all HK inter-secondary softball competition. The school won the Top Ten STEM School Award in the Greater Bay Area. Remarks	:	Subjects with ELA in English. We believe that every student must develop their own interests in addition to general academic subjects. Students can choose from 15 special applied learning courses in senior form to cultivate in-depth interests and knowledge. In addition, the school's elite baseball training program and multimedia courses cultivate creative industry talents. English teaching grouping is provided in Mathematics and Integrated Science. There are English morning assembly every week and daily reading classes in Chinese and English to enhance reading interest and reading scope.
