Adhering to the spirit of Christ, we carry out the mission of Catholicism and provide whole-person education. In addition, the school is committed to the implementation of school motto to train students with a spirit of humility and peace. The purpose is to guide students to establish a positive outlook on life, to develop students' ability to distinguish between right and wrong, to help students develop their full potential, and to encourage students to pay attention to social issues, to understand the motherland, and to promote Chinese culture.

| Secondary One Admission | : | Our school will accept discretionary places. | Orientation Activities and Healthy Life | : | New S.1 students need to participate in learning skills lessons, a bridging course and some orientation activities held in mid-August. In late August, students will join a two-day overnight camp for integration into the new secondary school life and a parents' day will also be held to let parents understand the school’s mission, environment, expectations and requirements for students. The school has a green kitchen to provide students with a balanced lunch, rice and vegetables are freshly cooked in the school kitchen on the same day. S.1 & S.2 students are required to have lunch at school. |

| Learning and Teaching Plan | ||
| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | 1. Our school adopts both Chinese and English as medium of instruction. In S.1 to S.3, in addition to English subject, Mathematics and Science are taught in English by class. In S.4 to S.6, English is adopted as the medium of instruction in Mathematics and some electives in some classes. 2. Our English lessons are conducted in small groups in most of the classes. An English Speaking Day is held every Thursday so that students have more opportunities to communicate with others in English. The English Corner also provides a good environment for students to do oral practice. |
| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | The school puts special emphasis on giving junior form students basic knowledge and training in Chinese, English & Mathematics. The homework given is suitable in terms of quantity and quality. In order to cater for students’ learning differences, remedial and elite courses are arranged to help students improve their grades. In order to promote student's reading habit, we have a whole school daily reading program of 15 minutes after every morning assembly. Our school actively promotes e-learning and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiatives to enrich teaching and learning with mobile devices, fostering self-directed student learning. |

Our school applies adaptive teaching in both Chinese and English subjects, tailoring instruction to students' abilities for a comprehensive learning experience. | (1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity | : | To fully develop students' potential to their fullest, our school stresses on moral, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic and spiritual development and provides a wide range of activities for students. Our school also focuses on teacher-student interaction and caters for learning differences. In addition, our school is committed to establishing a caring, integrated and respectful learning atmosphere. |
| (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education | : | The Student Support Team (SST) is responsible for the planning, coordinating and implementing of student support activities for students with special educational needs. For the Tier 1 support, our school focuses on building a caring culture on campus, and cares for the spiritual and mental health development of students through different activities. For the Tier 2 support, SST offers students training in social skills, executive functioning, and concentration, supplemented by various therapy groups to provide tailored support. A school-based programme has been launched to enhance students' self-confidence and reduce their learning stress. Our Peer Counseling Programme nurtures good mutual support relationships, interpersonal communication skills and a caring culture within the school. Furthermore, our Leadership Training Program helps junior form students building the positive values of persistence and cooperation. Also, parent group organized by school social workers promotes parent-school cooperation which is of crucial importance to our school. Parents could learn parent-child communication skills and have peer support. Besides, SST also provides teacher training sessions to equip them with knowledge in students' mental health and development. For the Tier 3 support, SST provides individual support such as counselling services, growth groups and speech therapy according to the needs of individual students in order to help them to develop their potential and grow healthily and happily. |
| (3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students | : | Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school; and hiring additional manpower and/or translation/interpretation services to facilitate the communication with parents. |
| (4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment | : | Two uniform tests and two examinations are held in each academic year (Summative Assessment). Formative assessment is also widely used. Students' conduct, performance in extra-curricular activities and social services are assessed as well. In addition, the teachers, school social workers, and educational psychologists also schedule regular meetings with students requiring special educational support to monitor their emotional and learning needs. During examination periods, our school provides tailored arrangements such as extended exam time, enlarged font sizes on question papers, and specially arranged seating to ensure the most suitable support for these students. |
| Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos | ||
| (1) Home-School Co-operation | : | To promote home-school co-operation, our school and PTA organize diversified activities such as parents' nights, the Sunshine Call, workshops, day trip, barbecue, etc. Through the activities, both parents and teachers have developed trustful relationship with each other. |
| (2) School Ethos | : | The school has an ethos of simplicity and sincerity. There is an excellent rapport between teachers and students. We adopt an integrated approach on discipline and counseling. We have a 'Dual Class Teachers' system for S.1 to S.3 classes to enhance guidance for students. A social worker from Caritas offers guidance and support to students on a regular basis and a Diocesan educational psychologist helps the school analyze its present state and handle students' problems with regard to their growth and study. There are several Parents' Days/ Nights annually to report the academic progression of students. |

All these enhance the professional development of teachers in order to keep pace with the education reform. Through teacher development activities, teachers can further understand the five core values of Catholic education: "Truth, Justice, Love, Life, and Family", thus helping teachers to pass on the above concepts to students when teaching. |
| Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) | : | The school offers diverse interest classes for Form 1 to Form 5 students to develop their talents and enjoy campus life. Form 1 students participate in the "Form 1 Potential Development Program," actively engaging in the Hong Kong Youth Award Program, uniformed groups, and music classes, among others.
