(1) Graded worksheets and textbooks of different levels of difficulty are adopted to cater for learner diversity. Different versions of assessment papers are also set following DSE practice. (2) All students are divided into groups based on their abilities to cater learning diversities. (3) A package of school-based materials of basic knowledge is integrated into Chinese curriculum. Junior form students are required to read aloud classical poetry before lessons. (4) The school-based national education programme "Love for China; Heart at Heung To" adopts "Embrace National Pride at Heart" as the core spirit. Through diversified learning activities, we aim to deepen students’ knowledge and understanding of our motherland, as well as develop their affections sense of thankfulness towards alma mater can also be nurtured among our students. (5) STEAM school-based curriculum: We have both a "Innovation and Technology Room" and a "STEAM Maker Room". | (1) Home-School Co-operation | : | Parent-Teacher association organizes various kinds of parent-teacher cooperation activities, for example: 1. School Life Experience Day for Parents: Parents and their children have class and lunch together, so that the parents can experience their children’s school life. Parents will share their inspirations, have a school tour and take part in a workshop for educating children. 2. Parent-Child Trip Day: Parents and their children go to visit different attractions in Hong Kong together, which enables them to not only enjoy the blessedness of a home life, but also gain an in-depth understanding of both history and culture. 3. Old Books Sales Activity: The Activity is held in summer vocation every year. Our students are encouraged to sell their old books at a low price to students of lower form. On one side, the old books will not be wasted and students can develop their awareness of recycling. On the other hand, parents may allow their children to buy and sell books in a safe environment, and save family expenses. 4. Parent-Child Fun Day: Parents and students participate in academic, sports or arts activities together to build closer bound in parent-child relationship. 5. Parents’ Meetings are held on a regular basis for parents to learn more about their child’s academic performance and personal growth. |
