Secondary One Admission, Orientation Activities & Healthy School Life Secondary One Admission, Orientation Activities & Healthy School Life
Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).Admission criteria and weightings for S1 discretionary places: Rank Order List provided by EDB 35%, Student overall performance 65% (Academic Results 35%, Performance in Co-curricular Activities 10%, Conduct 10%, Interview Performance 10%).
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : The school annually organizes a summer bridging program for students transitioning to secondary education, facilitating their smooth adaptation to the new learning environment. Additionally, a Secondary 1 Orientation Day is held to help students and parents understand the school's teaching and learning approach, as well as its student development goals. After the term begins, team-building activities for Secondary 1 students are conducted, enabling them to establish new social networks.

(1)School's Major Concerns : 1.To enable students to uphold positive values and lead a healthy lifestyle with active participation in life-wide learning activities
2. To optimize learning and teaching strategies, enable students to develop self-directed learning skills and become proficient in biliterate and trilingual communication.
(2) School Management Organisation : Incorporated Management Committee comprises not only the Supervisor and the Principal but also teacher representative, parent representative, alumni and professionals from outside. Under the Incorporated Management Committee, the School Development and Executive Committee, the Crisis Management Committee, the Academic and Curriculum Planning Committee, the Student Formation Committee, the Administration and External Affairs Committee, various teams and task forces are responsible for Learning and Teaching, student affairs and school administration.

(4) School Green Policy : Religious, Moral and Civic Education Team is responsible for cultivating environmental awareness in school. Different activities such as waste reduction, tree planting and greening school projects are held to enhance students' awareness of protecting the environment. The school has installed solar panels on its roof to generate electricity for rebate. The project is aimed at promoting environmental education and reducing power consumption.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : English is used as the medium of instruction in some classes in some subjects in junior secondary and senior secondary schools, while the rest are taught in the mother tongue. In order to further enhance students' English proficiency, our school offers after-school English Enrichment Courses and organises a variety of English activities, including morning sharing and English Ambassador Programmes. At the same time, we will create an English learning environment and set up an English Corner to increase students' opportunities to use English.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : The school helps develop students' generic skills. We encourage students to be keen learners. Through collaborative lesson preparation, peer observation, open lesson observation, IT in teaching and project learning, teachers are able to enhance learning and teaching effectiveness.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: TWO or THREE Elective Subjects
2. Curriculum highlights: The school plans the curriculum to meet the needs of students and society, and lay a good foundation for students' lifelong learning. The school implements "STEM" curriculum in S1 and S2 to cultivate students' innovation and technology spirit. Besides, courses and activities with different contents are systematically arranged for students at all levels to enrich their learning experience and cultivate them to establish a positive outlook on life during every Tuesday Student Formation Lessons. Our target is to nurture students learning skills, reading strategies, and to enhance their ability to learn independently.

(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : Our school strongly believes the importance of "Reading to Learn". Our students learn to use various reading strategies during language classes to enhance their reading effectiveness and learning ability. The school also promotes the reading culture through sharing during morning assembly, extensive reading award scheme, school book fair, reading club, S1 library class and reading competition.
(5) Life Planning Education : Our school aims to provide career life planning to students in fostering their self-understanding, personal planning, goal setting, reflective thinking and articulation to progression pathways. Our school provides students with a systematic career life planning education, including aptitude tests, career planning courses, seminars, workshops, workplace visits, leadership training programmes and study tour, so that students can be well prepared from the senior secondary stage to further studies and employment.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : To cater for student diversity, class allocation and split-class policies will be implemented. Through collaborative curriculum planning, teachers will adopt adequate and diversified teaching strategies such as e-learning, differentiated worksheets and group learning tasks. Enhancement and remedial learning programmes will be regularly organized for both junior and senior forms. Moreover, students are encouraged to join various co-curricular activities to develop personal interests and potential.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Our school is committed to building an inclusive culture and adopts a “whole-school approach” to support students with special educational needs. Through tailor-made and diversified support services, we improve students’ learning effectiveness and help them integrate into campus life. Members of the Student Support Team comprises: the Vice-principal, Special Educational Needs Coordinator, Special Education Needs Support Teachers, School Social Workers, Counsellors, a Speech Therapist and a School-based Educational Psychologist. The support team collaborates with various subject groups in the school to provide holistic care to help students in need. The team also arranges peer mentoring, such as the "Youth Ambassador" program to build a caring campus culture. Moreover, our school also attaches great importance to the cooperation between our school and parents, and regularly organizes parent activities such as "parent-child gatherings" to strengthen the relationship between parents and students.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : There are two uniform tests and two examinations in each academic year to assess the academic level of students. In addition, a variety of continuous assessment methods are also used in various subjects, such as classroom performance, assignments, experiments, practical tests, project learning and online platforms, to assess students' academic and generic skills.
Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : The PTA actively holds regular meetings and also participates in activities by school, including Parents Academic, Parent volunteers, School Outings, Workshops, 'Respect Our Teachers' Campaign, Parents' Day and other school functions.
(2) School Ethos : Our school is committed to cultivating young people who are both intellectually accomplished and morally exemplary. Guided by Christian values and the essence of Chinese culture, we offer a well-rounded education aimed at elevating moral character, academic and artistic prowess, spiritual growth, and quality of life. We strive to create a campus environment that embodies compassion, fairness, and empathy, nurturing students in an atmosphere of acceptance, respect, and recognition. This prepares students to face challenging prospects with love, wisdom, talent, and a sense of responsibility, enabling them to actively contribute to their families, society, and the nation.

(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : Apart from staff development days, seminars and visits are arranged throughout the year.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : Our school emphasizes life-wide learning, encouraging students to actively participate in extracurricular activities and external competitions. Junior form students are required to participate in life-wide learning activity, aimed at cultivating a persistent learning attitude, broadening their horizons, developing potential, and nurturing interests. S1 students are also required to join an uniformed group or a service team. We have a student formation period, arranging various activities and workshops to help students establish correct values. Through academic weeks and Life-wide Learning Days, we promote students' self-directed learning and enhance their interest in learning.
Others : The OBA and PTA set up different scholarships to commend students with outstanding performance in various areas, such as Academics, Sport, Music, Leadership and Social Services.
