| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | Developing students' bi-literate and tri-lingual competence is one of our major concerns. At junior secondary level, the teaching of some topics in Computer Literacy and Home Economics is conducted in English. English glossaries are introduced in the teaching of Citizenship, Economics and Society. In classes with students of higher academic ability, the teaching of Mathematics and Integrated Science is also conducted in English. Besides the school curriculum, students read English materials in the morning reading sessions every two months. A Reading Buddy Scheme is held regularly during lunch time. There are also English Days where students can enjoy a variety of learning activities, such as, drama, competitions, games, assemblies, etc. During summer vacations, Language Arts Program and English Camp are organized to expose students to a language-rich environment. Putonghua is promoted through the teaching of Chinese Language in Putonghua at junior secondary levels. |
| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | Enhancing learning and teaching effectiveness is another major concern. Learning atmosphere is promoted through enriching students’ self-regulated learning ability and habit. IT is broadly applied in enriching the classroom pedagogy. Integrated Humanities at junior secondary level promotes learning both within and outside the classroom. Modular approach is adopted to improve learning and teaching effectiveness of subjects. A broad curriculum is offered at senior secondary, enabling students to select subjects according to their interests and abilities. |

The Scheme has set clear performance indicators for each quality so that parents, teachers and students are able to assess their behaviours. The students who achieve the targets will be given awards. Students are also guided to set clear aims and directions for further study and future career, so as to provide them an inner drive to pursue higher goals in study and learning. Most subjects have implemented reading schemes to enrich students’ experience in Reading to Learn. |
| (5) Life Planning Education | : | In order to help students set targets and have good preparation for future studies and career development, mission-driven life project is implemented through junior form Life Education curriculum, activities organized by the Guidance Team, diversified experience in senior form studies and career guidance activities. |

Our school make use of the Learning Support Grant employing counselling teachers in order to provide assistance for our SEN students. We also outsource professional services, e.g. speech therapy and occupational therapy. We work with social welfare organizations to provide multi-intelligence social groups and interest groups for students with ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder. For educating students with dyslexia, Chinese and English teachers provide after-school classes to facilitate student learning. In addition, our team works with education psychologists and the Assessment Team to make special arrangements for students with SEN for internal and external examinations. Our school always emphasizes on communication and connection with parents. Every year, we arrange Parents' Talk and conduct random phone surveys to collect comments and advice on our support services. We also launch parent-child activities with social workers which enhance parent-child communication and improve their relationship. |
| (3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students | : | Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school; and hiring additional manpower and/or translation/interpretation services to facilitate the communication with parents. |
