| Secondary One Admission | : | Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).The admission criteria and weightings for S.1 DP of SSPA 2025: Conduct and attitude (20%); Academic performance (30%); Performance in the interview (20%); Extra-curricular activities (30%). |
| Orientation Activities and Healthy Life | : | In order to help the new Form 1 students to adapt to the secondary school curriculum and life, a free-of-charge 3-week Bridging Course is conducted during summer holidays from July to August consecutively. The programmes include Classroom English, Phonics, Putonghua Adaptation Series and other multiple-intelligent activities which are highly appreciated by the parents. Besides, various Parents' Workshops as well as an Orientation Night are organized before the new academic year. About 25% of the F.1 places are reserved for discretionary purposes. However, the performances in Conduct and Academic Achievements are the main prerequisite in the F.1 Admission Criteria. In order to have a healthy life in school, the school implements a series of schemes and programmes, such as the "Classroom and Campus Cleanliness Campaign". Emphasis is also placed upon fostering behaviour such as taking good care of public property and respecting others. The school also arranges healthy lunch for students and encourages students to lead a good and healthy life with regular exercise and healthy diet. In order to create a "Green Learning Environment", a tree planting scheme will be implemented. |

| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | Mother Tongue Instruction with emphasis on Bilingual and Trilingual Training: 1. For S. 1 to S. 6, the "Chinese Language" subject offers separate classes for "Putonghua" , "Cantonese," and "Non-Chinese Adaptation Course (GCE)." 2. Our school implements a "Fine-tuning Language Instruction" arrangement where "Mathematics" and "Information and Communication Technology" are taught in separate groups of "English" and "Cantonese." In addition to a foreign teacher, our school has also employed three local and foreign English tutors, as well as qualified Chinese (Putonghua) teachers. They assist in collaborative teaching during classes and provide language enrichment courses and activities during recess or holidays. Depending on students' individual circumstances, some students with stronger English proficiency and Non-Chinese students are placed in English-medium instruction groups for Mathematics and Computer Literacy classes. |

| (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education | : | My school is committed to building a culture of inclusiveness and supporting students with special educational needs in a "Whole School Approach" model. Through flexibility in resource allocation, we provide appropriate and diversified support services to enhance students' learning effectiveness and help them integrate into campus life. Student Support Team includes the Vice-Principal, Special Education Needs Coordinator, Prefect of Studies, Guidance Mistress, Social Worker, Educational Psychologist and Teaching Assistants. Good teacher professional development is the reason for a large number of capable and well-trained teachers to support SEN students. Learning Support Grant and Grant for Supporting Non-Chinese Speaking Students with Special Educational Needs are used to provide specific measures in supporting students with SEN including teaching adaption, assessment accommodation, remedial learning groups, individual education plan and outsource professional services (e.g. training on social skills, speech therapy services). Mechanism in soliciting parents’ views and discussion on student progress are well established. Curriculum accommodation and differentiated teaching strategies help students obtain quality teaching, additional support and intensive individual support. School emphasizes great importance to the cooperation between home and school. It establishes a regular communication mechanism to discuss and review the strategies for supporting students through different channels. Interim and year-end reviews facilitate school self-evaluation in order to give SEN students more effective and efficient supports. Also, school prepares SEN students well for further studies and better career pathways. |
| (3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students | : | Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school. For Junior and senior forms, the media of instructions for some subjects are both Chinese and English. Our school adopts the Education Bureau’s provision of “Chinese Language Curriculum Second Language Learning Framework” (“Learning Framework”) in order to further address the concern about NCS students’ learning of “Chinese as a second language”. Senior forms NCS students have the option to choose subjects of full English--medium instruction. |
