Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).Academic performance (40%), conduct & attitudes (20%), Other Learning Experience records (10%), interview performance (30%).
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : Orientation Week is held during the summer holiday which aims to prepare S.1 students for their secondary school life. The School offers a variety of orientation activities for the S.1 students.S.1 Parents Day is also held to strengthen home-school communication and collaboration.
To help our students develop healthy living habits, S.1 to S.3 students are offered healthy and nutritional lunch choices. We organize various sports activities, such as regular physical education, swimming gala and sports days, etc. We organize “Vibrant Friday” every week to enable both teachers and students to exercise together regularly. Our school has joined the 4Rs Mental Health Charter launched by EDB so as to promote healthy living. There is a Pastoral Care Committee in the school. We strive to develop our students to become physically and mentally healthy young people

(1)School's Major Concerns : 1. Establishing consensus on students’ learning routines; strengthening knowledge and strategies of using e-learning and catering for learner diversity through differentiated and tiered teaching & learning materials.
2. Strengthening subject panels’ and units’ capacity to collect and analyze data to enhance teaching and organising activities.
3. Strengthening patriotic education; fostering a healthy campus life model through whole-school participation activities; promoting the culture of commendations of outstanding students.
(2) School Management Organisation : The policies for school development are formulated by the Incorporated Management Committee. The principal, vice-principals, assistant principals, subject panels and functional groups are responsible for the daily school administration.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : With the honorary supervisor, supervisor, sponsoring body managers, principal manager, teacher managers, parent managers, alumni manager and independent manager as members, our Incorporated Management Committee has been established to strengthen school-based management by formulating the school policies and monitoring the performance of the school.
(4) School Green Policy : We actively support and participate in the Source Separation and Recycling Scheme promoted by the government and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals’ Green Initiatives by encouraging students to be plastic-free and avoid using disposable tableware. Through integrating and promoting environmental conservation in our daily operation, curricular activities and school activities, we strive to develop students’ habits of living green.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : The School strives to create a language-rich environment to nurture students' bi-literate and tri-lingual abilities. English elements with extended English learning activities e.g. exchange programs with local and overseas international schools, Oxbridge English camps and fun language activities, etc. are incorporated in the junior form curriculum. Summer bridging courses are offered. Gifted education activities and enhancement & enrichment classes are arranged.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : We aim at cultivating students’ interests in learning and motivating them to learn actively and independently. Our students have attained satisfactory public examination results. We offer diversified elective subjects in senior forms. We aim to cultivate and develop students’ good learning routines and habits and self-directed learning abilities. We focus on making good use of data to optimize teaching strategies, e-teaching & e-learning, enhancing interaction during lessons and implementing the central homework policy to consolidate students' learning effectiveness. In addition, subject teachers actively cater for learning diversity through differentiated teaching and learning materials.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 2X and 3X. Senior form curriculum: Students are required to study four core subjects and two to three elective subjects. On top of that, students can also study an Applied Learning (ApL) course.
2. Curriculum highlights: Our school-based curriculum focused on whole-person education and diversified development. Highlights of junior form curriculum: STEAM Education is offered in the junior forms to enhance students’ interest in STEAM & Technology, cultivate their problem-solving skills, and inspire students’ different potentials. Applied Learning (ApL) courses are offered in the senior forms which aim to develop students’ knowledge, skills, attitudes and values through application and theory linked to professional and vocational fields.
(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : 1. The school actively promotes values education through a whole-school approach and a balanced curriculum plan. Positive values and attitudes are promoted. Related learning elements are incorporated into the School’s Major Concerns, various cross-curricular domains and OLE.
2. Through Chinese History Education, cross-curricular learning and school activities, we strive to reinforce students’ (including NCS students’) understanding of Chinese History and Chinese culture. Chinese History is a compulsory subject (S.1-S.3) and an elective subject (S.4-S.6).
3. Language Across the Curriculum is promoted through cross-curricular learning activities. Extended English activities are provided.
4. STEAM Education and IT in education are actively promoted. Through the junior form school-based STEAM curriculum & active participation in STEAM-related activities & competitions, students' creativity and problem-solving skills are enhanced. Besides, various business learning and experiential opportunities are provided to foster students’ entrepreneurial spirit.
5. Life-wide learning opportunities are provided. Besides, there are Other Learning Experiences lessons (S1-S3).
6. We focus on Gifted Education and implement our school-based three-tiered Gifted Education. The learning needs of our high-calibre students are catered for. Related enrichment and learning opportunities and progrmammes are provided to fully stretch students' potential.
7. Additional support is provided to students who use Chinese as a second language. Guidance and after-school support programmes are provided to strengthen and enhance their learning of Chinese.
(5) Life Planning Education : Our school-based career and life-planning curriculum, embedded with the goal of enabling students to make informed decisions, takes students on to a cyclic process that consists of self-understanding and development, career exploration and career planning and management.
Constituted with a comprehensive set of learning experiences, our career and life-planning curriculum enables students to understand their aptitudes, expand their horizons, develop positive values and equip themselves with sound thinking and reflection skills, and continually actualise their personal growth.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : In addition to the Guidance Unit and the school social workers, the educational psychologists and the speech therapists of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals also assist and support students and provide them with appropriate help and services. Student Learning surveys at different levels are regularly conducted to understand the learning habits of individual students. Appropriate teaching strategies that suit the needs of students are adopted.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : The school adopts a “Whole School Approach” to Integrated Education and provides comprehensive support for students with special education needs. The school has set up a Student Support Team with members including SEN Coordinator, SEN Support Teacher, Educational Psychologist, Speech Therapist, Counsellor, etc. The school caters for students' learning needs through diversified teaching strategies, differentiated worksheets and special examination arrangements etc. The school adopts a variety of support modes, including the flexible use of "Learning Support Grant" and " Grant for Supporting Non-Chinese Speaking Students with Special Educational Needs" to implement various training courses and group activities. The school attaches great importance to home-school cooperation. The Student Support Team establishes a constant communication mechanism and regularly organizes meetings with parents of students with special education needs.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school. Non-Chinese speaking students can choose Chinese Language, Applied Learning Chinese (for non-Chinese speaking students) course or sit different public examinations in S4-S6.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : Our school implements continuous and summative assessments, conducting two Term Tests and two Examinations each year. The school also uses students' learning performance as a basis to establish teaching and learning strategies and provide appropriate assessment methods. These include curriculum design, differentiated teaching strategies, optimized tiered worksheets and assignments, and adapted examination arrangements, etc. All aimed at addressing the diverse learning needs of students and enhancing their learning outcomes.
Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : The School places great emphasis on parent-school communication for establishing a quality learning environment. Our Parent Teacher Association has been established for years and is a close partner of the School. It not only serves as a bridge between the School and parents, but also takes part in policy making, parent education, family activities as well as newsletter publication.
(2) School Ethos : We create a positive and harmonious ethos and practise strict discipline. We aim to provide a warm and caring environment in school with the support of our parents and alumni. Apart from the efforts of the Discipline Unit, Guidance Unit, Student Support Team and Careers & Life Planning Unit, our school social workers, the educational psychologist and the counsellor also help students to solve problems for their personal growth. The Moral and Civic Education Unit, The Values Education Unit and all the above units strive to develop students' potential and cultivate good and positive values. For instance, our school has participated in “Enhanced Smart Teen Project” for years, which equipped students to enhance their self-discipline and team spirit.
Future Development
(1) School Development Plan : 1. Enhancing effectiveness of teaching and learning, strengthening students’ learning routines and focusing on development of differentiated teaching strategies aligned with teaching assessments.
2. Strengthening effectiveness of data utilization and enhancing collaboration among school’s stakeholders for the school development needs.
3. Strengthening patriotic education, fostering a friendly school culture aimed at pursuing excellence, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : Our teaching staff actively participate in various seminars organized by Tung Wah. School-based professional development activities are organized to actively encourage teachers to meet the Continual Professional Development requirements as set by EDB, enhance teachers' teaching and classroom management effectiveness, facilitate the exchange of professional knowledge through peer observation and sharing, to develop and strengthen the professional subject knowledge and teaching skills of new teaching staff, promote teachers’ physical & mental well-being and actively encourage teachers to participate in courses, lectures and workshops to enhance their professionalism.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : Our school strives to provide students with diverse learning experiences and co-curricular activities. We have a Student Union and four houses named after our school motto: Diligence, Frugality, Loyalty and Faithfulness. There are 36 clubs & school teams that encompass cultural, entertainment, health, and sports activities. These include a Martial Arts Club, an Archery Club, Teen Connect (FAST Connect) and STEAM Society which consists of a Drone Team, a Robotics Team, D&T Team, an AI Team and an Aviation Team). In 2024/25, we will have an A Capellla choir and Youth Leaders Corps in collaboration with the Immigration Department. We aim to broaden students' horizons and develop their diverse potential and various skills.
Others : 1. Scholarships: For our students, there are various local and overseas scholarships donated by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, our Alumni Association and our Parent-teacher Association. Our school also nominates our students to more than 20 other scholarships each year.
2. Awards: Our students have outstanding performances and won various awards in the competitions of World Robot Olympic Robot, robotics coding, Visual Arts, gymnastics, sports, Scout rowing, choir, Chinese Dancing, Choral Speaking, debates, service learning & drama, etc.
3. Exchange programmes: Our students participated in various exchange programmes organized by Education Bureau, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals and other educational organizations etc. and have visited to China and overseas countries. Our school also organizes regular exchange activities with our Sister Schools, e.g. Ningbo Foreign Language School, Shanghai Xinzhuang High School and Beijing Academy in China.

Remarks : S.4 to S.6 students may take Applied Learning Courses provided by various course providers (S.4-S.5: Mode 2: Lessons are mainly held at the venues of our school and the course providers within the school timetable from Mondays to Fridays. Starting from junior secondary, Other Learning Experiences, namely Moral and Civic Education, Community Service, Career-related Experiences, Aesthetic Development and Physical Development for students.
