| School Facilities | : | With the design of the ‘Y2K Campus’ in 2000, our school is well equipped with facilities. Academically, facilities include 30 standard classrooms, a number of remedial teaching rooms, a newly renovated Self-activated Interdisciplinary Learning Zone, MMLC, ITLC, Library, laboratories, English/Chinese/Maths/History Learning Centres, Moral Education Centre and Lecture Theatre. As for sports and art, facilities include amphitheatre, football courts, CCAC Student Activity Centre, art gallery, green house, etc. Newly established venues include Arts Piazza, Science-in-zone, Career Guidance Centre, Aviation English Trailblazer, Worldwide Ecological Awareness Centre, etc. With the Qualified Education Fund received, a new area named 'Oasis' for mindfulness was renovated for the promotion of positive education. |

Secondary One Admission, Orientation Activities & Healthy School Life | Secondary One Admission | : | Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).Admission criteria and weightings for S.1 discretionary places: Rank Order List (provided by EDB) and academic results in the primary school (40%); Conduct, extra-curricular activities, school or social services, prizes and awards (30%); Interview (30%). |
| Orientation Activities and Healthy Life | : | All new students have to participate in orientation camps and bridging courses on Chinese, English, Mathematics and Science as well as Adventure-based activities. Parents’ Days are held in July and October. 1. Our school has been putting an emphasis on healthy school life. All S.1-S.5 students are required to have lunch at school. 2. Under the supervision of Effective Learning Committee, Student Development and Support Committee, Student Affairs and School Improvement Committee, all committees work hands in hands to formulate policies and promote school development. Our school is in close collaboration with the Parent-Teacher Association, Alumni Association, Student Union, etc. |

| Learning and Teaching Plan | ||
| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | Our school aims to help students to be biliterate and trilingual. For all F.1-F.3 students, the medium of instruction for all subjects is English, with the exception of Chinese Language, Citizenship, Economics and Society, Chinese History, History, P.E., Putonghua, Drama Education, Project Learning and Life Education. Putonghua as a taught subject is a mandatory component in the F.1 and F.2 curricula. To create and maintain an English-rich environment, purpose-built facilities and special rooms are made available to English teachers for running student-led activities designed to boost students' confidence and interests in learning English. A wide range of activities, such as English morning assemblies, English Speaking Days, etc. are arranged regularly for boosting students’ experience in speaking and listening in particular. Overseas summer immersion programs are usually held yearly to further broaden students' horizons. |
| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | 1. Our school teachers uphold the belief of “stabilization as a foundation for liberation, self-actualisation and diversified development” to help students develop a sense of discipline and respect to teachers. Our teaching focuses on ‘review, teaching, interaction and consolidation’ as essential steps of activating students’ prior knowledge and scaffolding their learning. 2. Teacher-student and student-student interactions are enhanced through purposeful group work, presentations, meaningful activities, etc. |
| (3) School-based Curriculum | : | 1. Electives: 3X and 4X. Students can choose three to four electives from 13 electives based on their capability and interests. 2. Curriculum highlights: (1) Our school curriculum puts much emphasis on students’ knowledge, skills, attitude and values. (2) The junior secondary curriculum aims to help students cultivate proper learning attitudes and habits in students, set clear learning objectives, develop basic subject knowledge and generic skills. In view of this, traditional subjects including Chinese History, History and Geography are introduced as well as other school-based subjects including Project Learning, Chinese and English Drama Electives. (3) In senior forms, we aim at developing students’ high order thinking skills, self-directed learning skills and academic knowledge so that they can achieve outstanding results in public examinations. (4) Our school has established a comprehensive and well-planned Moral and Civic Education Curriculum in fostering students’ proper values and attitudes towards life and guiding them to develop their personal goals and explore their potentials to strive for excellence. |
| (4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum | : | 1. Reading to Learn • Morning Reading sessions are conducted on a regular basis in junior forms to expose students to Chinese and English reading materials and newspapers. • Whole-school Morning Reading session is arranged for values education on Wednesdays. • Our school library also arranges a wide range of activities and promotes cross-curricular collaboration to foster students’ reading habits. 2. Information Technology • The setting up of Intranet and progressive installation of interactive whiteboards for the promotion of Information Technology in teaching and learning. • The continued enhancement of network support to introduce e-Learning in school. 3. Project Learning Project Learning is one of the subjects in junior forms. Students are required to do projects in some other subjects for development of inquiry skills, collaborative skills, communication skills as well as high-order skills. 4. Moral and Civic Education Our school emphasizes students’ whole-person development through the establishment of the Moral and Civic Education Committee. A whole-school approach has been adopted to the promotion of values education through tailor-made morning reading materials, sharing in morning assemblies, weekly afternoon assemblies, theme-based activities and so on. |

The Studies Committee set up a Student Learning Ambassador Team to fully explore and develop the potentials of gifted students in school. Through different activities, students are introduced to a range of learning strategies to maximise the learning effectiveness. 4. The Counselling and Guidance Committee’s provision of related support to students’ learning and whole-person development based on their mixed needs. 5. | (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education | : | Our school is dedicated to an inclusive culture rendering timely assistance to the learning and social needs of students. For example, small groups focusing on developing social skills, attention enhancement, board games, speech therapy, etc. allow students to mingle into a campus with equal opportunities and benevolence. We identify, refer, and follow up on students in a systematic manner. Collaborating with social workers, professionals and parents, we devise support programmes and conduct meetings with the principal, vice-principal, assistant principals, Special Needs Education Coordinator (SENCO), Student Affairs Committee, and Academic Affairs Committee in which we formulate teaching strategies and tailor-make examination adjustments. In addition, we provide various counselling services according to individual needs together with peer angels, counselling teachers, educational psychologist, and outsourcing firms. In a whole-school approach, the school also organizes a number of professional training activities for teachers as well. |
| (4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment | : | Our school conducts two uniform tests and two end-of-term examinations annually. Continuous assessment has also been adopted to evaluate students’ learning progress through daily assignments, quizzes, projects, etc. |

| (1) Home-School Co-operation | : | Our school has established the Parent-Teacher Association in which regular meetings are held for collection of parents’ opinions and promotion of school development. Parents enthusiastically participate in parent volunteering activities e.g. provision of assistance in Morning Reading sessions, supervision on students’ discipline during lunch time, assistance in school library work, etc. In addition to the above-mentioned activities, our school has established a close liaison with parents through circulars, regular updates on the school webpage, Parents’ Days, parent seminars, workshops, etc. |

Under the belief of “Moral and Academic Excellence”, we emphasize students’ stabilization as a foundation for liberation, self-actualisation and diversified development. | (2) Teacher Professional Training and Development | : | Teachers enthusiastically attend seminars organized by the Education Bureau and other education organizations. Every year, our school arranges Staff Development Days focusing on the yearly school major concerns to facilitate teachers’ professional sharing and maximize the effectiveness of teaching and learning. |
| Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) | : | 1. Students are assigned to four different houses with a range of Inter-house competitions. 2. Regular co-curricular activities are provided in four domains including academic, interest, sports and arts, and services. More than 40 clubs and teams are offered in different areas such as Mathematics, History, Geography, environmental protection, computer, music, ball games, swimming, drama, Japanese, uniform teams, social service, fellowship, etc. 3. Unusual sports activities including fencing, golf, indoor rowing and rope skipping are introduced. |
| Others | : | 1. University Admissions The university admission rate reached as high as 83.2% in 2024. Also, both Tsinghua University in Beijing and Fudan University in Shanghai have offered our school the "Outstanding Schools Principal Nomination Scheme" in which 3 of our students were admitted to these top universities through this scheme in 2023-2024. Another student was also recruited in one of the local universities through the School Nominations Direct Admission Scheme. 2. Outstanding Performances In 2024, our school was awarded the Champion in Hong Kong division in Tan Kah Kee International Quiz in which they were ranked the eighth in the international division and were invited to an immersion program to Malaysia with the teacher-instructor in early-August. In 2024, our student was awarded the 1st runner-up in The 26th Hong Kong Primary and Secondary Schools Putonghua Speech Contest. In 2023-2024, our school was awarded the Most Outstanding School Award and the 1st runner-up in Senior Division in The 4th Hong Kong Chinese Writing Contest. In 2023-2024, five of our S6 graduates were awarded the Fung Ying Seen Goon Scholarship in recognition of their outstanding academic performances. Our graduate was awarded the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals 153rd Anniversary Scholarship and Multi-faceted Excellence Scholarship 2023, Home Affairs Bureau. In 2023, our student was selected as one of the "Outstanding Students of the "New Territories” in the Outstanding Student Election of New Territories. In the 75th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival (English Speech), two of our students received 1st runner-up and three of them were awarded 2nd runner-up with 29 students receiving Merit in 2023. In 2022, our students were awarded Champion in 2022 Competition on System Modeling & Optimization. In the Joint School Music Competition 2024, our students had brilliant performances with the attainment of 17 awards. In 2023-2024, our student received the Outstanding Award – Gold Prize and Performers’ Adjudication Award in Relishing Creativeness in the Hong Kong Palace Museum” Music Composition Competition. In 2023-2024, our school and music teacher received the Most Outstanding School and Teacher Awards from the Hong Kong Arts Festival – Young Friends. In 2024, our students were awarded the Overall Champion in both Boys’ Division and Girls’ Division in Inter-school Indoor Championships (NT) organized by Hong Kong China Rowing Association. In 2024, our Basketball Team was awarded the 1st runner-up in Inter-school Tai Po and North districts Senior Boy’s Division (Second Group). In 2024, members of our Dance Society were awarded the Silver Award in 2024 Dance World Club and were even invited to join an international dance competition in Prague in early-July 2024. In 2024, our students were awarded Special Honour Award in Secondary School Contemporary Drawing Competition 2024, organized by Hong Kong Contemporary Art Centre. In 2023, our student attained Champion in North District Youth and Civic Education 2023 -Trendy Arts Show You Future Comic Design Competition, organized by North District Youth Development and Civic Education Committee. In 2023 Hong Kong School Drama Festival, our students received the Outstanding Cooperation Award, the Outstanding Director Award, the Outstanding Performer Award and the Outstanding Stage Effects. In 2021, our school was awarded the “Hi-Five Student Engagement Award Scheme” and the “Reading Dreams – Outstanding School Award”. There were some students who represented Hong Kong in the participation of international volleyball, golf, fencing, judo, rope skipping competitions, indoor rowing, etc. 3. Study Tours and Immersion Programs Our school attaches importance to study tours and immersion programs. Every student is expected to enroll in at least one of the study tours / immersion programs in their secondary school life to broaden their exposure and learn outside the classroom. Some of the previously visited countries and cities include the Mainland China, Taiwan, Britain, the United States of America, Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Macau, etc. |
