Secondary One Admission, Orientation Activities & Healthy School Life

Secondary One Admission	:	Our school will not accept discretionary places. Our school will not participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life	:	Orientation Camp for S.1 Newcomers, Meeting for Parents of S.1 Newcomers, Summer Bridging Classes for Newcomers including Chinese, English and Mathematics subjects. Students can establish rightful values, morals and healthy life as a dutiful citizen by providing a range of learning experience that suits the many attributes of students at various developmental stages.

(2) School Management Organisation	:	Under the supervision of the Management Board and the Supervisor, the management of the school is orchestrated through the leadership of the Principal. Directly under the principal are three major operations, namely, Academic Affairs Department which is responsible for matters related to learning and teaching; Administration and Student Affairs Department which is responsible for student support and pastoral care; and Campus Planning and Building Department which is responsible for the maintenance and deployment of school facilities and resources.

(4) School Green Policy	:	To promote sustainable development, the school gives priority to the use of energy efficient products that comply with the Energy Label of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department. Teachers and students work together to make solar cars to promote environmental protection and energy saving concepts. In addition, the school cooperates with some organizations to hold various environmental protection education activities and lectures to raise students' awareness of environmental protection.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy	:	1. Classes use either English or Chinese as the medium of instruction so as to cater students' different language proficiency in learning. 2. Native English-speaker Teachers (NETs) Scheme is adopted to facilitate small class learning in junior forms.

Subject panels have lesson collaboration and lesson observation. (4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum	:	A Reading Promotion Committee is established to design and implement Extensive Reading Scheme to cultivate an interest in reading. For junior forms, tailor-made workshops are held to develop project learning skills with the aid of information technology. The Values Education Committee plans and coordinates values education in a holistic approach.

(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity	:	School-based personal growth curriculum is implemented based on the needs of different levels. ‘Self-Discipline, Self-Learning & Self-Respect’ are the educational goals in junior secondary, whereas senior students learn to ‘accept challenge, make commitments and strive for excellence’. To cater for learning differences inside classroom and to facilitate remedial and enhancement scheme, a specialized committee is established to carry out diagnosis for further follow-up. Our school has actively cooperated and consulted various professional associations since 2008. We provide educational and counseling services to individuals. These services assist students to handle relationship with parents, release pressure from studies and resolve peer conflicts, in the light of enhancing personal growth and psychological well-being.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education	:	The school is committed to build a culture of inclusiveness and support students with special educational needs in a whole school approach. The school's study support team includes special education needs coordinator, discipline and counseling head, and class teachers. The support team works and collaborates with other subject groups to support students in need. The school has flexible use of the "Learning Support Allowance" and outsourcing professional services such as psychologist services, social groups and so on to assist students with different needs. The school also provides study, homework and assessment adjustments for students in need. It also helps students design specific and feasible support plans through different meetings.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment	:	Based on students’ individual needs, adjustments in the durations, formats and means of the assessments are made to cater for learner diversity.
(5) Fee Remission	:	Our school offers full school fee remission or 1/2 school fee remission. Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation	:	To strengthen communication and cooperation among parents, teachers and the school in order to help students in their academic endeavour and to ensure a healthy development in both body and mind for students, the Parent Teacher Association is established to arrange regular meetings and activities. The school also provides resources to support parents in contributing their potentials in school operation.
(2) School Ethos	:	The school spirit is integrity, and the school adopts the whole school approach in disciplinary and counselling programs to promote students’ personal growth and to create a caring, supportive and harmonious campus. Teachers carry out home visits to understand the students' situation and maintain genuine communication with parents. Future Development
(1) School Development Plan	:	In order to put together a holistic school development plan, the school has issued a 5-year and a 3-year development plan when the school was founded. At present, formulating annual school development plans has become a yearly routine for better and clearer development goals and measures.
