School Facilities : Our academic building which has seven floors, we have a total of 28 classrooms and a number of special rooms, including the Irene Yu’s Library, English Corner, Self-study room, Geography room, Students Union room, Visual Arts room, Physics Laboratory, IS/Chemistry Laboratory, Tony Tong’s Biotechnology Laboratory, Music Room, Piano practice room, Computer Assisted Learning Room, Computer Room, Language Learning Center, Living Technology Lab, Design and Technology Workshop, Student Activity Center, Social Worker Room, Debate Room, Campus TV, Conference Room, Lecture theatre and Multipurpose Room. All rooms are air-conditioned, connected by Wi-Fi network and equipped with glass-wall, laser projectors and smart iPad cabinets, all of which help foster a diversified educational environment in our school.
There are two basketball courts and the school hall for students' activities. The smart phone cabinets and lockers are provided to our students for the purpose of storage.

Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : The freshmen activities include:
S.1 Bridging Course, S.1 Parents’ Day cum Orientation Day, S.1 Freshman Day Camp and S.1 Mentor Scheme: ‘Stand By Me’ Program. Apart from enhancing the communication among class teachers, social workers and students, the programs also help students adapt to their secondary school life. To promote healthy lifestyle, various activities regarding mental health, drug education, sex education, positive psychology, emotion management have been launched.

(2) School Management Organisation : Our school has been carrying out School-based management since 2001. Apart from the rigorous management, the school has also paid great attention to the communication amongst the staff and is accountable to all the stakeholders. At the same time, the school management structure is clear. The Administrative and Functional Committee makes a concerted effort to carry out the school goals. Along with forming a "through-train" school with the Po Leung Kuk Vicwood K.T. Chong Sixth Form College, the two schools have established a joint-school organization so that the schools can cooperate closely.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : The Incorporated Management Committee has been well established.
(4) School Green Policy : Moral, Civic and National Education Committee conducts various activities and carries out different measures every year, which aims at rearing students the idea of treasuring the resources and cherishing the Earth, enhancing their concern for the society and promoting their sense of responsibility towards the society and the Earth.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : To better cultivate students’ English ability in the school, all subjects except Chi. Language, Chi. Hist., Social & Cultural Studies and PE are taught in Eng. and will have extended learning activities conducted in Eng. In our monthly Eng. weeks, all teachers will communicate with students in Eng. in order to build an English-rich environment. PTH activities are also held during morning assemblies to enhance the atmosphere of communication in Putonghua.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : Most subjects in our school, including Mathematics, Integrated STEM-Science, Integrated STEM-Physics, Integrated STEM-Chemistry, Integrated STEM-Biology, Integrated STEM-Information and Technology Studies, Integrated STEM-Living Technology, Integrated STEM-Design & Technology, Integrated Humanities-Geography, Integrated Humanities-History, Integrated Humanities-Finance & Accounting, Integrated Humanities-Economics, Integrated Arts-Music and Integrated Arts-Visual Arts are conducted in English and Extended English activities. All teaching materials, classwork, tests and examinations are written in English.

2. Curriculum highlights: Junior Secondary Curriculum highlights: The "MAKER curriculum" is designed for students to develop their mathematical modelling skills, Analytical skills, Knowledge management skills, Entrepreneurship and Research Skills through interdisciplinary collaboration.
(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : 1. The school focuses on cultivating positive values and attitudes in students, including enhancing their sense of responsibility and fostering supportive, respectful relationships among peers. It also aims to strengthen students' character, helping them become responsible citizens who appreciate their national identity and value Chinese culture. Additionally, the school uses various strategies to boost students' happiness, sense of achievement, and physical fitness to cultivate positive values and resilience, enhancing their physical, mental, and spiritual health, and creating a healthy and positive campus atmosphere.

2. The school is committed to developing students' potential, enabling them to surpass themselves and achieve higher levels in various areas. We primarily focus on training students to enhance their self-directed learning abilities, thereby improving their reading skills and proficiency in biliteracy and trilingualism. We strive to support students from different learning groups to elevate their academic performance, addressing diverse learning needs. By establishing rigorous learning routines, we cultivate a good learning atmosphere and train students to apply appropriate study and examination strategies to improve learning efficiency and performance. Furthermore, we organize various activities to broaden students' horizons, help them develop personal strengths, and strengthen their self-image in different areas, thereby enhancing their learning confidence and promoting holistic development. We also assist students in expanding their learning experiences across different subjects, allowing them to showcase their strengths in various areas.
(5) Life Planning Education : The Career Guidance Committee aims to help students have more insight in their career aspirations and development so as to make wise choices in their studies and career pathways. A whole-school life planning education program will be provided to students. A variety of life planning seminars, workshops, visits, job simulations and aptitude tests will be implemented to help students examine their interests and abilities, recognize their strengths, arouse their curiosity towards learning and working, enhance their capacity in planning and decision making.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : The employment of additional teachers in Chi. and Eng. has been funded by the Learning Support Grant. A small class policy in some subjects is adopted for students with particular needs in order to provide better care and give more support to students. A series of elite and remedial courses such as the courses for Form Three Graduation Examinations and remedial lessons are being conducted by our own teachers. The pull-out enhancement courses including Future Star Programme, Chin. Speech Training, Eng. Speech Training, Maths. Olympiad and Science Olympiad are provided to cater to students with different needs and abilities.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Members of the Student Support Team / Learning Support Team include Vice Principal, Associate Principal, SENCO, Academic Master, Support Teachers from different subjects, Discipline and Guidance Teachers, Career Guidance Teachers, School Social Workers and Educational Psychologist.
Through the whole-school approach, homework modification, assessment accommodation and individual educational plans are given to students under the advice of professionals. Students’ learning progress is evaluated at regular form meetings. Apart from regular meetings, the Student Support Team organizes different workshops and school talks each year.
Under the Learning Support Grant and Grant for Supporting NCS students with SEN, two teachers, an assistant teacher and a speech therapist are hired, and after-class pull-out programs are arranged to help enable an effective learning support both inside and outside classroom.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school. We provide School-based Chi. and C.Hist. curriculum, for which a different set of assessment papers are provided. They are not required to take PTH lessons, instead, they will have Chi. lessons. EMI arrangement is in place for NCS in SCS. Everyday at lunch and after school, the library provides reading sessions to encourage them to learn Chinese.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : Discipline & Guidance Committee and Academic Committee members will take care of students with special needs. Corresponding adjustment is adopted in course work, assessment and classroom management. The special arrangements in uniform tests and examinations include text magnification in test papers and time extension.

(1) Home-School Co-operation : The school maintains good communication with parents and the parent-teacher association in the following ways:

6. Our Parent-Teacher Association was honorably awarded the “Outstanding Parent Teacher Association Award” by the Federation of Parent-Teacher Associations Sham Shui Po District Limited.
(2) School Ethos : The school has a pure and honest spirit. Coupled with the emphasis on discipline and counseling, it is believed students will be endowed with morals and virtues. To promote students’ self-disciplinary spirit, various program, activities for school uniform teams and voluntary services are carried out. The Discipline and Guidance Committee works closely with the social workers to help students develop positive values and manners.
To provide care and guidance to students, a system of dual class teachers is in place. Students also enjoy the mentoring program, lunch at school and activities after school.
Our school was honorably awarded the Honor Award in ‘2023 Caring School Award Scheme’.
Future Development

(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : We place much emphasis in teachers’ professional development. Joint-school professional development activities are regularly organized with Vicwood K.T. Chong Sixth Form College in order to enhance the communication between the two schools. Professional Learning Circles are established to foster professional exchange among peers, with an aim to enhance the effectiveness of e-Learning, whole-class gifted education initiatives and exam skills. Connections have been formed with a key high school in our motherland China, where sharing sessions among the sister schools are conducted to enhance the quality of teaching. Class observations are conducted by the principal, subject department heads and among colleagues and teachers of other schools to enhance the quality of teaching.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : 1. The 'One Student One Art/Sport' program provides a variety of extra-curricular activities and learning experiences for students. The activities include different academic school teams, sports school teams, music school teams, performing arts school teams, uniform and services groups, academic clubs and interest classes such as Japanese class, Korean class, Spanish class, Magic class, Aerial Photography Class, K-PoP Class, Wushu Class, Fencing Class etc.
2. Exchange program are held during school holidays.
3. Cooperation with Po Leung Kuk Vicwood K.T. Chong Sixth Form College in different kinds of activities covers some ball games competitions, outings activities, etc.
4. Innovative Maker Fortnights are held and co-operated by all subjects with cross-curriculum elements.
