| Our school promotes the green school and environmental protection program. We are equipped with a greenhouse and a fish pond. Renewable energy devices like solar panels are set up on the roof garden to encourage students to carry out environment protection projects. From 2021 to 2023, our school participated in the Jockey Club Beam Plus in Schools Project and continuously renovated our energy-saving measures. In addition to being rated as a "Green School”, outstanding performance have been achieved in both the "Sustainable Leadership and Learning" and "Sustainable Campus Environment" projects. In terms of teaching and learning, our school is committed to promote environmental education and e-learning, reducing paper consumption, making good use of online resources etc., we are actively encouraging students to move towards a sustainable life. |

| The school's medium of instruction is mainly English (please refer to the subjects offered in 2024/25 and subjects to be offered in 2025/26 for details). Most of the learning and teaching as well as co-curricular activities are conducted in English. Exchange students are admitted to help create an authentic environment for students to practice speaking in English and cultural exchange. The school also places great emphasis on nurturing in students the capabilities of bi-literacy and tri-lingualism. There are both Chinese and English debate teams to enhance students' linguistic training. |

The school emphasizes an all-round education and students' balanced development. On top of academic pursuit, students are actively engaged in sports, music and other co-curricular activities. Our students have good moral grooming and possess great leadership potential. Bi-literacy and tri-lingualism as well as sound mathematical training are focus of development. Students’ nine areas of generic skills are cherished through school lessons and co-curricular activities. A student-centred approach is adopted in school. The Chinese and English Departments rigorously promote various extensive reading schemes to induce in students the habit of reading. The school library and different subject departments work in collaboration to enable students to make effective use of school library resources to enhance studying efficacy. The senior level curriculum offers an array of subject choices for students to achieve the target of integrating arts and science education. Students' multiple intelligence is nurtured through sports, music and other co-curricular activities. Creativity is much highlighted. The school has once attained twelve HK championships and one world championship in the programme of Odyssey of the Mind. The outstanding performances of our school's Chinese and English Debate Teams have also been recognized with awards at various competitions. Career planning is another focus of development. Seminars, interflows, visits have been organized to allow students a clear understanding of their strengths, character and abilities so that they can scale new heights by fully utilizing their potential. Also, STEM Education is promoted in junior forms, a view to enhancing students' interest in learning science, technology and mathematics; nurturing their abilities in the integration and application of knowledge and skills, creativity, collaboration and problem-solving capabilities.

| (4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum |

| Extensive reading schemes are promoted. Morning reading periods are launched to enhance students' reading habit. Class libraries have been set up and regularly the school library organizes book fairs, book promotion, reading sharing, reading talks by guest speakers etc. The school website regularly updates reading information to assist students to build a good reading habit. Off-lesson English broadcast is arranged to enhance students' awareness of current issues and English listening proficiency. Utilization of IT to promote interactive learning: our teachers are equipped with IT skills (from basic to advanced) stipulated by the Education Bureau. The school is equipped with eClass platform and tablets to facilitate learning and teaching. All classrooms and special rooms have been installed with computers and interactive touch panel. Wireless internet access is established in the campus to enable teachers to teach using IT. Moral and Civic Education: The school includes Moral lessons in its curriculum to teach students ideas of Confucianism. Buddhism and Taoism, which helps to nurture students' virtues. In off-lesson time, the Moral and Civic Education Section organizes a wide array of morning assemblies, seminars, visits, exhibitions and competitions to foster students' positive values, national identity, civic awareness and good citizenship. |

| A range of events are held to address the needs of students from different forms. The primary target in the junior form is the F.3 students. We organize activities such as workshops, talks and experience-sharing sessions to help them navigate their way through the transition from S3 to S4. As for the senior form students, our emphasis is placed on ‘life planning’ which is realized in various forms of activities: 'Job Exploration' workshop, JUPAS Talk, experience-sharing sessions by alumni and representatives from local universities and visits to local universities. We also help nurture career prefects by inviting them to participate in organizing various events. Our school offers each S5 and S.6 student a tailored academic advising session mostly on individual basis. They will be provided with the latest information through career talk, site and company visits. |

| (1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity |

| All S2 and S3 students are streamed according to their abilities. Remedial classes of Chinese and English are practised. In off-lesson time, subject teachers arrange enhancement classes for S.1 to S.6 students to tackle the issue of student diversity. Other learning programmes like leadership training, gifted students’ critical thinking workshops are launched to fully explore students’ potential. Teachers tailor their teaching strategies to meet the education needs of different students. A special committee has also been set up to handle SEN students. |
| (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education |

| Our school is committed to developing an inclusive culture to support students with Special Education Needs. The Student Support Team comprises of the Counselling Mistress, SEN coordinator, School Social Workers and School-based Education Psychologist. Our school adopts a ‘Whole School Approach’ in formulating support measures for students with SEN through class teachers, subject teachers and subject teachers. Also, parents, educational psychologists, etc. are invited to attend case conferences to follow up the support work as necessary. With parents’ consent, our school will collect information on S1 SEN students to facilitate early identification of students’ SEN and arrangement of appropriate support. Our school will also refer possible students with special educational needs to the school-based Educational Psychologist. Our school makes flexible use of the Learning Support Grant to hire outside services such as speech therapy, social training, group and individual counselling to provide appropriate support for SEN students. Teachers will also be arranged to receive special education training programmes and attend seminars to enhance their professional capacity in catering for SEN students. |

| Our school recognizes and is committed to catering to the individual needs and differences of our students. Through ongoing multifaceted learning activities, we strive to motivate our students to develop positive attitudes and values, learning skills and lifestyles with the goal of improving students’ ability to acquire knowledge and use it in an efficient and effective way. Our focus is to nurture proactive learners who are ready for tertiary education and adult life. In keeping with this focus, our school is continuously strengthening our students’ bi-literacy and tri-lingualism, as well as, placing a strong emphasis on curricular knowledge. We organize ‘learning beyond the classroom’ activities, which allow students to immerse themselves in the community and participate in exchange programmes to the Mainland and overseas. The objectives of these activities is to provide our students with the background needed to complete the Senior Secondary Education curriculum, broaden their horizons and develop a well-rounded knowledge base. We strive to facilitate our students’ establishment and pursuit of personal goals. |

| The school attaches great importance to the teachers’ professional training and development as to nurture quality students. Apart from the school’s and the joint schools’ staff development days, our school has organised teachers’ visits to the Mainland China, Taiwan and Japan in recent years. Teachers are also encouraged to pursue further studies. Subsidies are offered to teachers to encourage self-education. The teaching quality is enhanced through peer learning and collaboration, and thus school's sustainable development can be promoted. |

| Through learning different subjects, our students can master various learning methods, enhance their interests and develop good habits. Our junior forms adopt group teaching to cater for the needs of different students in Chinese and English. To cope with the current development, we have also set up a STEM lesson to stimulate thinking. In recent years, to enhance our students' debating and communication skills, we have set up an English and a Chinese debate team which won many championships in Hong Kong. We emphasize value education. Apart from classes, we often invite celebrities from the academic, political, economic and charity sectors to share their experiences with our students, so as to enhance students' recognition of their national identity and build up correct values. In order to develop students' multiple intelligences, our school has set up various sports and music teams. Last year, our school won a number of championships in the Tsuen Wan and Islands District School Sports Competition, and also once won the Best Athlete Award. Our music team has been winning a number of prizes in the Inter-School Music Festival and the Joint Schools Music Competition. In addition, students actively participate in community services to cultivate empathy. Volunteer visits are arranged for students to understand the situation of the disadvantaged. Last year, a student was awarded the Outstanding Young Volunteer Award, which is the third student in recent years to receive the Diversity and Excellence Scholarship from the Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Bureau, with four years of university tuition fees waived. The school also actively promotes career planning so that students can establish their life aspirations as early as possible. Every year, students take part in business experience programmes to learn real-life financial knowledge and develop entrepreneurial spirit. In 2022, we impressively won the Hong Kong Grand Champion of the JUMPSTARTER IdeaPOP! competition. |

| The school emphasizes students' multiple intelligence. Within a span of 16 years, our students have attained 13 HK championships in the programme Odyssey of the Mind. They have also represented Hong Kong to participate in the competitions in the US and got the Championship and First Runner-up in 2001 and 2016 respectively. Moreover, the school has been awarded the Outstanding Environmental Protection Award for 6 consecutive years and has won the HK Green School Bronze Prize and Merit Prize. To nurture students' critical thinking, our school has set both Chinese and English Debate Teams. Our teams' outstanding performances have been recognized with awards at various competitions. They have attained championships in the Basic Law Cup HK Secondary School and won the championships in the 16th and 17th NESTA Debating Competitions in 2015 and 2016. Apart from the above-mentioned activities, our students have got numerous awards at various sports, music, dance, languages and mathematics competitions. Their academic achievements and outstanding performances in extra-curricular activities have been recognized with many awards including but not limited to Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Outstanding Student Award, Top 10 Outstanding Youth Award of the Outstanding Youth Activity Commendation Scheme, I Love Hong Kong - 10 Model Teenagers, Hong Kong Outstanding Youth Volunteer Award, Outstanding Teens Award, Hong Kong Youth Service Leader Award (the best 3 schools) and HKSSF Grantham Outstanding Student Athlete Award. |
