The motto of our school is "Loyalty, Courtesy, Diligence and Simplicity". We are committed to providing an all- round education for the development of our students in moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic aspects and to cultivating them to become responsible, respectful and compassionate individuals. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).Academic results 30%, conduct 30%, extra-curricular related activities 20% and the interview 20% (Collaborative group activities will be conducted in both Chinese and English Languages). |
| Orientation Activities and Healthy Life | : | Every late July, an orientation course is organized for S.1 students so as to help them cope with the new school lives, and master the learning skills in Chinese, English and Mathematics subjects. Every mid-August, a Parents' Day is arranged for S.1 students and their parents. Implement various policies to promote a healthy and safety learning environment, such as Healthy Lunch Box and Physical Fitness Scheme, etc. Our school has been one of the "safe and healthy schools" in Kwai Tsing District. It has also been successively awarded "a caring school" for fifteen years. |

| Learning and Teaching Plan | ||
| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | 1. To enhance students’ motivation to learn and their learning effectiveness, our school adopts Chinese as the major language of instruction. 2. To raise students’ English standard, native English teachers (NET) have been employed. An English Reading Scheme has been implemented. In junior forms, a vocabulary list of 50 to 70 words both in Chinese and English for each subject is provided for students. In some subjects, additional English questions are set. 3. To put emphasis on activities like writing practice, Verse Speaking Competitions, Learning English Through Singing, telling stories in Putonghua, and broadcasting on campus radio to implement the biliterate and trilingual policy. 4. Arrange students to take courses to prepare them for the public examinations like IELTS, and finance them to sit for the public examinations. 5. To collaborate with the service provider SolidMemory, students can make good use of their leisure time to learn more English vocabulary through the online electronic platform. 6. Our school has a Native English Teacher (NET). Apart from taking part in classroom teaching, they conduct English learning activities in the English Learning Centre as well. 7. English Drama enhances students’ interest in learning English. Every year, our school takes part in drama competitions and perform in our School Graduation Ceremony. |
| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | 1. Students prepare for lessons before class and consolidate their learning through classwork and notes. 2. Make good use of E-learning to promote students’ self-learning through different online learning platforms. A free subject selection mechanism is set up in senior forms to allow students to study three elective subjects according to their abilities and interests. 3. Provide experiential learning for students to reinforce their learning. 4. The school gradually improves students’ learning ability through diversified classroom teaching to ensure that students’ scores in public examinations can be further improved. |

| (4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum | : | Our school implements Value Education (including Moral, Civic and National Education) through our class teacher periods and different subject curriculums. In our school, each class is equipped with a library corner. All students are encouraged to read during the class teacher period. An electronic reading platform, which is financed by the Quality Education Fund, has been running in our school to enhance students’ reading comprehension skills. |
| (5) Life Planning Education | : | Through life planning courses, personality tests, lectures and workshops, the Careers Guidance Team of our school will give junior form students a preliminary understanding of their intention to pursue further studies. For senior form students, our school will arrange for students to join university open days, education and career fairs, government and commercial organizations, etc. At the same time, it will provide students with internship opportunities, and organize study tours for further studies. In addition, the teachers of this group will provide personal counselling for students in Form 3 and Form 6. Teachers will not only answer students’ questions about their studies and employment, but also guide students step by step to integrate their own interests, abilities and career aspirations so that students can make personalized and appropriate plans and goals. Every year, School-Based Careers Guidance Expo is held. Lions, tertiary institution representatives, business organization representatives and alumni help students to gain a better understanding of different occupations and the paths for further education. In addition, Collaborative Cross-curricular Pre-vocational Training Programme aims at enhancing students’ vocational skills, including writing application letters and resumes, interview techniques, mock interviews, internship opportunities, etc. |

| (1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity | : | In 2019, our school started joining the Learning Support Grant of the Inclusive Education Scheme, providing educational services to cater for the students with special educational needs (SENS). |
| (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education | : | Under the Inclusive Education Scheme, there is a student support team. The Student Support Team currently consists of the Principal (Advisor), the Vice Principal, Prefect of Students Affairs, Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), the Guidance and Discipline Master and Mistress, the Chinese, English, and Maths Panel Heads, the School Social Worker, the Educational Psychologist and the Speech Therapist. A number of teachers and assistant counsellors are assigned to take care of different special educational needs. In addition, resources are allocated to provide diversified services and activities for them, helping them to enhance their life skills and career planning skills. During the last academic year, the school made adaptations in curriculum design and the division of classes to match the list of different student characteristics as well as to enhance the learning and teaching effectiveness. Besides encouraging teachers to attend SEN-related courses by the Education Bureau, the school will provide school-based courses, seminars, and workshops to equip teachers with the teaching and learning skills to provide guidance for the students. The school and parents will work hand in hand in order to let the parents know the learning progress of their children in our school. |
| (3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students | : | Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school. NCS students are encouraged to study Applied Learning Course (Chinese) and sit for different Chinese examinations. |
| (4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment | : | Curriculum design is used by each subject to cater for students with different abilities, providing them with remedial and enhancement teaching. There are two examinations, two uniform tests, regular take-home assignments and project learning practices in a year. Each subject requires students to jot down notes during lessons and makes good use of classwork exercises to consolidate students’ learning. |

| (1) Home-School Co-operation | : | The school is devoted to the cultivation of a harmonious teacher-student relationship, enhancement of students' sense of belonging to the school through printing a parents handbook and PTA newsletter, organizing various activities and seminars to parents and teachers to improve parenting skills. |
| (2) School Ethos | : | The school maxim is simplicity. The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups provides two social workers for our school. More than ten experienced teachers form a Guidance and Discipline Team and Life Education Team. They have carried out a series of activities for students like “S.1 Student Mentoring Scheme” and “Lionian Award Scheme”, “Class Management Scheme” and “the Big Brother/Big Sister Scheme” to let students immerse themselves in student life and increase self-esteem. |
