Another highlight is the establishing of The Amphibian and Reptile Centre. All of these are to promote the ‘ Green School’ concept. Near two million dollars are spent on the reconstruction and extension of the school library, aiming at the provision of an advanced and comfortable learning environment for students. |

| Secondary One Admission | : | Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).Admission criteria: Discretionary Places Rank Order List from Education Bureau 50%; Interview: 20%; Conduct: 20%; Extra Curricular Activities: 10%. Applicants with awards or special talents in the fields of sports, music, fine arts and/or design and technology will be given bonus points. Interview includes a group discussion, with a brief English and Putonghua conversation with each applicant. |
| Orientation Activities and Healthy Life | : | Orientation for S.1, Talks for S.1 Parents, Bridging Programmes, S.1 Parents - Teachers Meeting and S.1 Extra Curricular Activities. 'Green School Subsidy Scheme' let students have more opportunities to appreciate nature. We offer 'Love and Care' courses, which stress students’ healthy growth. The implementation of ‘Healthy Campus Policy’ aims at building an ambience of love and caring in school, showing our concern to the growth of students and stressing the infusion of healthy lifestyle among them. In addition, school authority selected the lunch boxes with extra care and consideration for strict health standards. The school has received a funding of 1.93 million dollars from the Environment and Conservation Fund to set up the “Green Kitchen” and to implement the On-site Meal Portioning Projects in School. |

Teachers are friendly and relationship with students is good. Teachers are diligent and devoted with a goal to sustain the growth of students by providing them with assistance in and after school hours. |
| (3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee | : | All IMC members show tremendous support to the school, putting special emphasis on teachers' professional training and students' enhancement of English proficiency. Professional Training Foundation is set up for financing teachers taking part in professional programs. To benefit our students, special funding is granted to overseas university students through their involvement in an English-teaching internship programme. IMC members also take part in various school functions and gatherings, building an intimate partner relationship with teachers through regular communication. |
| (4) School Green Policy | : | Our school has been placed first in The Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence (the HKAEE), awarded the Gold and First runner up Award in the Hong Kong Green School Award and 5 times in the Schools Environment Award Scheme for School Honours Award/Special Award. The Environmental Protection Education Centre, the eco-campus and “Green Kitchen” alongside implementing cross-curricular collaboration aim to incorporate environmental content in teaching and provide life-wide learning on green lifestyle. Our work in this area was commended by Quality Assurance Team and External School Review Team as excellent and outstanding. Funding was received from ECF to run multiple projects such as Solar Photovoltaic Panels/Water Heating Systems, Aquaponics Systems, etc. |

| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | Our school actively promotes 'Bi-literacy and Tri-lingualism'. All subjects are taught in mother tongue in S.3. Mathematics and Integrated Science are taught in English in certain S.1 & S.2 classes while Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are taught in English in certain S.3 classes as to increase students' chance of using English. Chinese Language is taught in Putonghua in S.1 & S.2 classes. Putonghua lessons are offered to S.1 & S.2 classes. Some subjects in senior forms are taught in English. |
| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | 1. School based "Small Class Teaching Scheme" is implemented from S.1 to S.6. With the reduction of class size, students will be better taken care of. 2. Self directed Learning Scheme is implemented and Chan Kai E Learning Platform is set up, for example, Google Classroom. 3. E-Learning is promoted and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is put into practice. 4. To improve students' abilities in 'Bi literacy and Tri lingualism' via *Hiring NET and English speaking teaching assistant. *Teaching Chinese in Putonghua in junior forms. *Bridging Programs in English, English Week, English Speaking Day, morning reading sessions, Broadcasting in 'Bi literacy and Tri lingualism'. 5. Students' interests in different fields are catered, with a variety of subjects including Arts, Science, and Commerce. 6. Citizenship, Economics and Society, Life and Society curriculum is designed for junior forms. 7. Supplementary lessons, programs on 'nurturing the elites and assistance to the weaker ones' are implemented so as to help them prepare for the coming DSE examinations. 8. Making use of 'Life wide learning periods', where different activities including life education, art education, Physical Fitness, Moral and Civic Education activities are organized for students. Students are encouraged to take part in community service and career related experience activities. 9. Applied Learning is introduced in senior forms. 10. Encourage cross curricular activities, e.g. Academic Theme based Week and Self directed Learning Day. |
| (3) School-based Curriculum | : | 1. Electives: 2X. Students may choose 2 out of 13 subjects in our current curriculum. Senior form students may choose the subjects without being constrained by the traditional arts, science and business streams. 2. Curriculum highlights: (School based curriculum): S.1 to S.3: Computer Literacy: S.3: Biology, Business, Accounting and Financial Studies and Economics, Tourism and Hospitality, Music etc. (The current curriculum is in line with the educational reforms and students' needs. e.g. life education and environmental education. The school keeps refining the current curriculum framework. Adaptations are made according to students' abilities, interest development and personal preference. New elective subjects are introduced to cater for choice of students, with a selection process demonstrating flexibility.) |

| (1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity | : | Through adopting the 'whole school' approach, together with small group teaching, tailor made teaching syllabuses and materials, counseling classes, after school tutorials, pre-exam practices and subject improvement plans as well as various socially enhancing experiential activities, individual differences in each class are catered for. Different kinds of measures are planned by Educational Psychologists. The ratio of social worker to students is lowered through the hiring of an extra social worker. Our care to students is hence more comprehensive. |
| (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education | : | Led by the School Principal, the Students' Support Team is established with the collaboration between the School Vice-Principal, SEN coordinator, Head of Academic Department, Head of Examinations and Assessments, Head of Student Support, Panel Heads of core subjects, Special Educational Needs Support Teachers and School Social Workers. Professionally supported and aided by Educational Psychologist and Speech Therapist, students with SEN are well taken care of. Learning support grant is flexibly used to provide timely and suitable support to students with special needs. Apart from the outsourcing professional service, social workers, student support staff and teaching assistant are hired to provide student support learning activities and career planning service for students. Our school runs ' Individual Education Plan' for students with special educational needs through meetings between Educational Psychologist, teachers and parents. At the same time, adjustments and alterations in examinations and assessments are provided. |
| (3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students | : | Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school; and our school uses Putonghua to teach Chinese in all classes / groups at certain levels with extra support as appropriate, e.g. pull-out/small-group classes, learning resources with Pinyin, etc. The school deploys the subsidy flexibly in order to assist NCS students in adapting to Chinese language learning. |
| (4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment | : | Other than two examinations and uniform tests, formative assessment, including form quizzes, dictations, project presentations and discussions, exercises and class performances are all used so that a more comprehensive picture of students' abilities can be gained. Comprehensive learning achievement is launched through the curriculum and assessment adjustment on Chinese, English and Mathematics. In order to cater for learner diversity, assessment moderation is launched to suit students with special needs. Pre-examination extra classes are made to help junior form students prepare for examinations before assessment, whereas senior form students are put into ‘advanced or elementary groups’ for afterschool tutorials to suit their study progress. NET, language teachers and English teaching assistant also offer extra tutorials to students on a regular basis. |
| Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos | ||
| (1) Home-School Co-operation | : | Parents Teachers Association (PTA) is set up as a communication channel with schools to sustain close cooperation. Other means of communication including parents’ circular, eclass Parent App, intranet, "Sunshine Call", Parents' Day, Parents' Night, seminars, etc. are set up to improve mutual understanding as well as maintain effective communication. Our school also sets up a "Parents' Volunteers Group" to provide support to school, and promote students' academic and psychological development. PTA regularly organizes picnics with school, interest groups, service platforms, etc. which serve to gather the parents and foster support to one another. To pass on love and care, PTA also sets up scholarships, organizes friendly matches with teachers on Sports Day, and promotes School Uniform Collection and Give Away Scheme as well as Old Book Reuse Scheme. |
| (2) School Ethos | : | Our teachers are both strict and caring. Students are nurtured to possess perseverance for academic progress, self-discipline and thoughtfulness. A good class spirit is emphasized. The system of form masters is set up to ensure sufficient extension of support and care to students of different forms, where students’ sense of belonging is built. Through whole-school planning and activities, the culture of love and integration is promoted. Students are empowered with resilience and moral value. Educational psychologists, stationing social workers and form discipline and counseling teachers are ready to sustain students’ growth. |

| (2) Teacher Professional Training and Development | : | Our school encourages continuing teacher professional development through organizing seminars and workshops where teachers can share professional knowledge and experiences about fostering students’ personal growth. To promote teachers’ lifelong learning, out school has set up ‘Funding of Teachers’ Professional Development’, which finances teachers for further studies. 'Mentorship Program' has recently been introduced to help new teachers adapt to their new working environment. Our school actively participates in the annual 'Joint School Teachers' Professional Development' Day. Also, the school organizes at least two professional development days based on its major concerns. The programmes not only enhance the teachers' professional knowledge, but also provide a platform for them to implement what they have learnt and help to build the culture of mutual appreciation and support among the teaching team. |
| Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) | : | Our school holds large scale activities such as Life-wide Learning Day, National Security Education Day, Constitution Day, Flag-raising Ceremony, School Picnic, Sports Day and Music Contest. Students are encouraged to take part in social services inside and outside school. There are altogether 38 school clubs and 17 school teams for students to choose from. Among the school clubs, 4 are related to academic subjects, 3 interest related, 2 for voluntary work and social services, 1 STEM innovative workshop, 17 sports related and 16 key point clubs. Students' Union, Four Houses and Uniform Teams are formed so as to enhance students’ leadership skills and sense of belonging to the school. Through Other Learning Experience lessons, life-wide learning and moral and civic education are promoted in order to foster students’ character and moral development. Our feature activities include STEM innovative workshop, overseas study trips, University Partnership Scientific Research Programme and Elder Academy. |
