Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).Admission for discretionary places is based on Academic performance (EDB rank order and school results) (40%), Interview performance (30%), Participation in extra-curricular activities, prizes awarded and services (30%), Conduct assessments in P.5 and P.6 (Term 1) must be B grade or above. (The above admission criteria and weightings have yet to be finalised.)
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : Pre-S1 Students & Parents Day, Form one Bridging Programme, Vision Sharing are provided every year. Self-Regulated Learning Week and Self-Development Week in this year also facilitate Form One students to grasp the social skill, study skills and strategies for better time management in secondary school life.

For promoting healthy lifestyle, balanced diet and regular exercises are introduced in Healthy School Programme, Guided Activities Period as well as Physical Education lessons.
In addition, tuck shop & lunch provider are committed to offering healthy and balanced meals to students.

(1)School's Major Concerns : 1. To encourage reflective learning and teaching and to develop our excellence in curriculum, teaching and assessment strategies.

(2) School Management Organisation : The Incorporated Management Committee formed by the school sponsoring body is the ultimate decision-making body of the school. The Principal maintains close communication with the supervisor to manage the school and enhance its performance. Under the supervision of the Principal, the School Administration Board, the Academic Affairs Board and the Student Development Board are led by the vice principals and the assistant principals with a view to promoting the cooperation of all members in the school.

(4) School Green Policy : 1. The Values Education Department promotes environmental protection awareness by setting up recycling bins around the school campus.
2. Protection team members collect fruit peels and process fruit peels under the food waste decomposer in order to produce compost for plant cultivation within the school campus, and thus promote greening culture in the school.
3. Participate in the “Student Environmental Protection Ambassador (SEPA) Scheme”
organized by the Environmental Campaign Committee, which aims to cultivate students’ sense of responsibility with respect to environmental protection and develop leadership skills among students.

Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : The School adopts English as the medium of instruction in F.1 - F.3 for all subjects except Chinese Language, Chinese History and Putonghua. To ensure students possess the necessary English standard to study different subjects in English, a summer bridging course is provided to all F.1 students every year. The school also offers remedial English classes to less able students. For nearly 20 years, the school has organized overseas study trips for students to improve their English in a native English-speaking environment and experience foreign cultures. As for Chinese Language, the school promotes extracurricular reading and encourages students to improve their writing skills by taking part in various writing competitions.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : The school aims at enhancing the effectiveness of teaching and learning and helping students to achieve their full potential. The school-based curriculum has been designed to be fun, be practical and most importantly, lay strong foundations for students’ tertiary education in the future. The school also aims to prepare students for public assessments and ensure the effectiveness of teaching by tailoring and adapting the school-based curriculum according to the students’ needs.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 3X. Students can choose different elective subjects in Form 4.
2. Curriculum highlights: Multi-intelligence strategies, Cooperative learning, Teaching & Learning in Information Technology to cater for the diverse needs, interests and abilities of learners.
(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : 1. Students are encouraged to learn through extensive reading.
2. Project-based learning is introduced to develop students’ generic skills and I.T. competency.
3. Ethnic values and civic awareness are inculcated in students through lessons and regular assemblies.
(5) Life Planning Education : A. Work hand in hand with Hong Kong Family Welfare Society to promote career planning activities:
1. conduct self-exploration workshops and give careers talks to students;
2. organise experiential learning activities to inspire students to plan for their future;
3. hold inquiry-based career planning activities and internship programmes for students in need.
B. Administer various school-based career aptitude tests and organise careers talks to counsel students on choosing different electives in F.4, making JUPAS choices and other career paths.
C. Participate in the Business-School Partnership Programme and arrange students to visit workplaces and join experiential workshops.
D. Connect with alumni to organise mentorship activities and internship programmes.

Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : We offer enhancement and enrichment classes for students with academic needs.
With teachers’ instructions and guidance, higher achievers can study one more elective subject in addition to the existing three electives.
Students with special needs will be taken care of by teachers, social workers and other classmates.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Our school adopts the whole school approach (WSA) in accordance with five basic principles, : early identification, early intervention, Whole School Approach (WSA), home-school co-operation and cross-sector collaboration, to inclusive education for aligning school policies, culture and practices. We establish a learning support team, leading by Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), in planning, coordinating and promoting the whole school approach (WSA) to integrated education (IE) in order to foster a more inclusive school culture and enhance the effectiveness of the support given to students with SEN. Our goals are to develop the potentials and confidence of every student and to give support to students on effective learning and interpersonal skills through personal or focused group counselling.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : Besides 2 examinations a year (except Form 6), continuous assessment is carried out, including regular assignments, tests, reading activities and projects. The school unleashes students’ potential, inspire their thoughts, and encourage them to take the initiative to study. These learning activities enable students to stretch their potentials in different areas. Students can achieve self-directed and all-round learning goals. Assessment is both of and for learning.
Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : We have close liaison with our parents. Apart from the regular meetings with the Parent-Teacher Association, the school issues regular newsletters to update parents on the school news. Besides, parents are also involved in some of the school administrative process such as the comparison and review of tender. Our school and the PTA also co-organise various functions such as outings and picnics to foster parent-child relationship as well as interest groups and talks for parents. Parents also act as guests to grant scholarship to stellar students at opening ceremonies and enjoy school gatherings at closing ceremonies, on Sports Days, Swimming Gala and at Confucian Dinner.
(2) School Ethos : Our school is committed to creating an environment conducive to harmony, open-mindedness, acceptance and care. Studying in such an atmosphere, students can show their love and care for others. They are self-disciplined, diligent, responsible and innovative. They know how to distinguish rights from wrongs and express themselves well. What’s more, they have insights as well as vision and learn to appreciate.

We encourage our students to care about our society, particularly the unfortunate, the society and the environment by serving our community. The senior form students act as role models to the junior ones. Through the process, the leadership skills of senior form students are enhanced.

a. To promote Values Education through nurturing in their students the ten priority values and attitudes: "Perseverance", "Respect for Others", "Responsibility", "National Identity", "Commitment", "Integrity", "Care for Others", "Law-abidingness", "Empathy" and "Diligence";
b. To help students correctly understand Chinese history, appreciate Chinese culture and traditional values, respect the national symbols and signs;
c. To nurture positive values and attitudes through diversified ‘Other learning experiences’.
(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : To boost our teaching and learning effectiveness on top of strengthening our cooperation with different departments at school, we have organised numerous Staff Development Days to share and exchange our experience with each other and explore new teaching methodologies. We aim at building the school into a learning organisation. Moreover, we support and encourage teachers’ professional development through continuing education, professional exchanges and peer sharing. Teachers actively participate in seminars or further their studies so as to enhance their professionalism. Our experienced teachers are often invited to be the main speakers in various talks about the teaching profession so that our experience of success can be shared with other teachers, educationalists and scholars.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : In implementing Other Learning Experiences, our school encourages students to widen their horizons and aims at :
1. developing their life-long interests as life-long learners;
2. nurturing positive values and attitudes;
3. nurturing the five essential Chinese virtues, 'Ethics, Intellect, Physical Development, Social Skills and Aesthetics';
4. becoming active, informed and responsible citizens;

7. enhancing career aspirations and positive work ethics.
Others : The school management committees donate over $100,000 every year to award scholarships for outstanding students. In order to provide a balanced and diverse school education that meets the different needs of our students,
students are encouraged to join open competitions as well as international competitions Our students have excelled in many inter-school competitions such as music, speech, science, mathematics and sports competitions, and have won numerous prizes. The uniformed groups and Social Service Club give many services to our school and to the community.
