We hope that the campus is filled with love, freedom and trust of the gospel. Students' whole-person growth is cultivated in three aspects: religious belief, benevolent care, and rational teaching. | School Facilities | : | We use diversified real-life learning venues (hardware), coupled with the professional curriculum and learning experience design (software) of the teaching team to enhance students’ relevant knowledge and skills. Practising preventive education approach (soulware) to cultivate students’ kind character (heart) by promoting effective learning and whole-person development, making the school a second home for students. "Inspire, Innovate, and Impact" is the school's core approach to improve students' learning effectiveness. The EcoGarden, STEAM Application Center, mindful room and cat house have been built in the 2021-22 school year. Authentic learning venues include: Design & Technology Hub, A.I. | Orientation Activities and Healthy Life | : | During the summer vacation, we organize a Summer Counseling Program for new Form 1 students. This program helps students familiarize themselves with secondary school life, build positive relationships with peers and teachers, and develop a sense of belonging to the school. The curriculum includes self-awareness, mental health and well-being, safety and health, understanding the school environment, team-building, core subject learning experiences, and familiarization with routines and classroom modes. The school promotes a healthy and active lifestyle through morning runs, open gym sessions, and various specialized training activities for school teams. Students are encouraged to participate in sports outside of class to establish healthy habits. Additionally, we have established the “Wai Yin Association emPower Station for the elderly” programme allowing students to engage in physical activities while also contributing to social service, fostering a caring attitude towards society. The school has a professional counseling team, including social workers, counselors, speech therapists, and educational psychologists, who work closely with teachers to support students' comprehensive growth through diverse activities and counseling. |

Installed 32 solar panels to generate solar power, incorporating STEAM and environmental education to deepen students' understanding of renewable energy and related scientific knowledge, encouraging the practice of low-carbon lifestyle habits. Installed smart sensors in classrooms for automated lighting and air conditioning control, reducing energy waste. Upgraded classroom lighting to T5 lights and installed heat-insulating film on glass windows to lower electricity consumption. Converted a smart container into an EcoLab which serves as a platform for conducting environmental and life education. |

| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | To cater for students’ diverse abilities and learning needs, the school implements the whole-school language policy. Both Cantonese and English are adopted as the mediums of instruction (MOI) in different classes. The school has hired two native English-speaking teachers (NET) to carry out lunchtime and after-school activities such as English essay contest, story speech contest and drama contest to encourage students to use English and create an English learning environment. The school regularly arranges diversified extracurricular language learning activities to broaden the learning experience of students and increase the opportunities for students to practice biliteracy and trilingualism. |
| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | School-based curriculum design and a wide range of strategies to cater for learner diversity are adopted on subject basis. The implementation of "diversity assessment" can let students of different abilities and talents showcase their learning outcomes. Cross-curricular learning activities enable students to apply what they have learned from various subjects and construct knowledge. To arouse students’ learning motivation and to maximize learning outcomes, is initiated. Teachers of Science, Design and Technology and Information Technology, Visual Arts, and Mathematics collaborate to organize cross-curricular school-based STEAM activities. The school has established the Future Talent Academy to aggregate and deploy different resources to discover and nurture the unique talents of the students, fostering them to be youths who shape the future. The Academy focuses on nurturing students' future abilities, including core values, positive attitudes, generic skills, future-ready knowledge, global perspective, Ng Siu Mui specific learning experience. |
| (3) School-based Curriculum | : | 1. Electives: 2X. Two elective subjects (2X) are offered in senior secondary level, and the option to take Mathematics Extended Module 2 (M2) or Applied Learning Course “Multimedia Storytelling” or Enrichment courses of Chinese, English, and Mathematics 2. Curriculum highlights: The school’s School-based DICT and STEAM school-based courses: The school’s STEAM development has three objectives, namely to help others solve problems, to help improve the lives of the elderly, and to make the world a better place through different inventions. Based on the three objectives, the students develop different products and contribute to the community. Among them, junior form students invented "Smart Flower Pot", "Medicine Sorter" and “Smart Medicine Recognizer” and have achieved good results in local and overseas invention competitions. The school will continue to design different products based on these three objectives to serve the community. Design and Technology subject: Design and Technology set up school-based curriculum in response to the different learning abilities of the junior form students. The teaching content is carefully adapted for teaching students the important basic knowledge of design, technology and computer. The teaching mode is based on context and topics, and focuses on helping student to applied the knowledge learned to solve real life problems. For example, students learn how to design products based on the humanistic spirit, design cycles and other design concepts to cater for the needs of the users. |

According to the different characteristics and learning needs of the students, we provide life planning courses, individual or group professional counseling, and a variety of workplace experience and learning activities to cultivate students' different levels of life planning knowledge, skills and attitudes, so that students can be equipped to plan their own lives. |

| (1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity | : | The school has established a complete student support and counselling system. Through the accompaniment and listening of teachers, support from pastoral and care teachers, and timely support from professional social workers, counsellors, education psychologist and speech therapist. students’ problems can be properly and promptly resolved. | (4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment | : | There are two internal examinations. The responsible group provides students with examination adaptation with reference to expert suggestions and implements layered stratified assessment papers in junior high schools to enhance their learning motivation. There are Uniform Tests in the middle of each semester in S4 and S5 to foster assessment for learning continuously. Continuous assessment is adopted. Daily marks composing of class and assignment performances are integral to the term score. Corresponding adaptation strategies have been adopted by the subjects to cater to the diversity of students’ learning. With a view to fostering students’ learning and monitoring students’ learning progress, diversified assessment modes such as class participation, project-based learning, and self and peer evaluations are adopted. |

| (1) School Development Plan | : | With the full support of the Wofoo Foundation, the old electronic workshop has been transformed into the futuristic artificial intelligence classroom, iLAB. This classroom enables teachers to teach students new concepts on how to utilize advanced computers and teaching equipment, enabling them to master AI skills. We successfully applied for a special grant from the Quality Education Fund (QEF) to establish a gerontechnology Education Center, GERONTECH PARK, aimed at improving the quality of life for the elderly. By simulating the home life of the elderly, students can unleash their creativity in an environment equipped with advanced facilities and interactive real-world learning. We have added an "EcoGarden" where we plant different types of flora that attract butterflies, providing urban habitats for them and achieving butterfly conservation. The park collaborates with the school-based STEAM curriculum to provide students with an authentic environment for learning artificial intelligence technology, enhancing the teaching effectiveness of technology and environmental education. |
| (2) Teacher Professional Training and Development | : | The full implementation of different levels of professional training includes: New teacher training, subject-based training, whole school teaching strategy training, middle management training, SEN training, observation and exchange with other schools. "Lesson Walk-through" is carried out. The school also implements "Classroom Visits "through the "observation - sharing - amendment" cycle, so that teachers share with each other and promote professional exchanges. The school has participated in the EDB School-based Support Programme (both Chinese and English subjects) and to enhance teachers' professional competence, and to promote students' learning efficiency and application abilities. |
| Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) | : | Whole-person Well-being Learning Experience, school team and specialized training, student union and four Houses. Funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust for the " Jockey Club Project Well-being ", we have established "Soul Suite" which includes a kitten house, a garden and a mindfulness centre. These places serve to cultivate the physical, mental, spiritual and social well-being of teachers and students. The "Whole Person Health Learning Experience" (WLE) group activities are conducted weekly. Students can participate in four different activities each academic year to foster holistic health. We recruit students to become cat volunteers and learn to develop a sense of responsibility and respect for life through taking care of the cats. The school has a number of school teams and specialized training, covering sports, music, technology, vocational skills, etc. Professionals or coaches are employed to teach the students, so that they can continually develop their interests and skills. We link school teams, specialized training and student organizations with life planning education. It is expected that students will develop common skills and attitudes required for life planning while developing their potential and participating in school and community affairs, so as to get prepared for the different stages of life in the future. |
