It is the vision of the school to provide equal opportunities for quality and holistic Christian education for our students. School Facilities : The school is located on an 11,000 sq. m. campus consisting of six building blocks: the Lau Cheung Suet Ming Building (1936), the Chapel of St. Clare of Assisi (1957), the Chau Hau Leung & Li Shiu Ching Building (1964), the Library (1966), the Jubilee Building (1986) and the Mr. & Mrs. Au Sue Hung Building (2005). Outdoor facilities include a 25-meters swimming pool, 4 multi-purpose games courts, a rest garden, a parking area and a lawn. Other facilities include the School Hall, the Dining Room, Student Development Centre, 30 special rooms including the Drama Laboratory, the Innovation Laboratory, and Lecture Theatre, 30 classrooms, and a 3-storey high sports centre.

Secondary One Admission : Our school will not participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : The Form One Orientation Programme and Bridging Course are held every year in mid to late August, preparing students for secondary school life.

(2) School Management Organisation : The school is operated and managed by the Heep Yunn School Management Committee (SMC). Daily operations and management are conducted by the Senior Management Team (SMT), comprising the Principal, Vice-Principals and Assistant Principals, and the School-based Administration Committee (SBAC), comprising the members of SMT and Heads of major subject departments and functional committees.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : The school is operated and managed by the Heep Yunn School Management Committee.
(4) School Green Policy : General Principle: Help students appreciate and cherish natural resources, and to understand the importance of responsibly and efficiently using natural resources.
Policy: Promote recycling; promote the use of reusable utensils; encourage students to use green materials in co-curricular activities; provide low-carbon dishes by the canteen; and install smart water dispenser in replacement of bottled water.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : All subjects are taught in English, except for Chinese, Chinese Literature, Chinese History, Putonghua, Family & Life Education, and other foreign languages classes.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : 1. Providing a Christian Education that develops the whole person in moral, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic and spiritual areas.
2. Building a firm foundation in both Chinese and English languages, and achieving fluency in English, Putonghua and a third language (French, Japanese, Korean or Spanish).
3. Learning in groups of approximately 25 students for the core subjects (Chinese, English, Mathematics).
4. A curriculum based on guidelines from the Curriculum Development Section of EDB that develops students’ subject knowledge, generic skills and e-learning competency, inspires life-wide learning and creativity, and encourages collaboration and exchange of ideas.
5. Provision of support for students to sit for internationally accredited examinations.
6. Providing a multitude of co-curricular activities such as sports, music, public speaking, drama, debating, science projects, financial management programmes and volunteer work for students to apply their knowledge and develop their potentials.
7. Personal Growth Training programmes for S1-S5 for students’ personal development, career planning, global exposure, and instiling in them the spirit of community service; e.g. Life skills and Positive Youth Development Camp, Overseas Arts & Culture cum Heritage Tour, Overseas/Mainland Volunteer Service and Cultural Discovery Tour, and Work Experience Placement Programme.
8. Supportive measures for students to take part in external local and overseas Enrichment Programmes and high calibre competitions in Hong Kong and worldwide, e.g. MUN, Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, International Junior Science Olympiad, International Ethics Olympiad and The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education.

(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : 1. Reading: setting up morning reading sessions, in addition to the Reading Curriculum under the Chinese and English departments.
2. Use of Information Technology for interactive learning and to support classroom learning.
3. Project Learning: to be used as continuous assessment to promote self-learning and multi-dimensional thinking.
4. National Security Education: strengthen students’ understanding of the importance of national security and the rule of law; enhance their sense of national identity and knowledge of our country’s history, culture and latest developments; help enrich their understanding of the Constitution and the Basic Law.
5. Moral and Civic Education: Family & Life Education (S1-S3) and Religious Education to promote altruistic values such as social awareness and service to the community.
(5) Life Planning Education : 1. Career Lessons (S1-S6): guiding students to set specific goals for personal and educational development.
2. Mentorship Programme (S1-S6): Each student is mentored by a teacher-mentor who helps her establish clear learning goals in the junior forms and provide guidance in academic development and career planning in the senior forms.
3. Work Experience Placement Programme (S4): a 4-day job shadowing programme at financial institutions, hospitals, hotels, advertising agencies, law firms, NGOs, etc., allowing students some experience in their interested fields.

Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : Please refer to the Learning & Teaching and School Ethos sections.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : 1. Assessment and learning accommodation for students with specific educational needs.
2. Adoption of a tri-party (teachers/social workers/parents) cooperation to help students with specific needs; provision of information and resources for parents with SEN children through mutual support units and/or individualised approach.
3. Use of learning support grants to fund counselling services, part-time counsellors and Education / Clinical Psychologist.
4. Making good use of the NCS SEN Grant to facilitate students' learning.
5. A variety of inclusion activities to promote an inclusive learning environment.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : 1. Form test: One test in Term 1 (October to November)
2. Mid-term Assessment: One week in late March to early April, with no lessons for students in the interim.
3. Examinations: Term 1 - Early to mid-December; Term 2: Early to mid-June.
4. Continuous Assessment: Assignments (e.g. oral presentations or projects).
5. Summer Enhancement Classes (Chinese, English and Mathematics) for Forms One to Three.
(5) Fee Remission : Our school offers full school fee remission, 3/4, 1/2 or 1/4 school fee remission. Needy students, including those from families receiving the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) and students receiving financial assistance provided by the Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFAA) could apply for fee remission. Applications are normally made in May or June. Results will be released within 30 days of the application deadline if all supporting documents are in order.

Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : 1. Various activities are organized by the PTA to promote communication and cooperation between the parents and the school.
2. Organizing parents' meetings and workshops concerning selected topics, e.g. counselling programme, student subject choices and opportunities for further studies.
3. Parents Days to enable direct communication between parents and teachers and for parents to better understand the students' learning progress.
4. Teachers or social workers to contact parents directly when necessary.
(2) School Ethos : 1. The School is a community of love and respect, where students show respect for themselves, for the rights and dignity of everyone and for the school community at large.
2. Our students are expected to show integrity, courtesy and good manners.
3. Peer learning and support are upheld both inside and outside classroom.
4. Counselling Committee: works with the social worker in programmes like "Big Sister Scheme", talks, workshops and providing individual counselling to help students develop a healthy self-image and become resilient and self-assured individuals.
5. Careers and Guidance Committee: helps students to ascertain their strengths and potential for different career or study options.
6. A duo Form teacher system is enforced to improve our pastoral care.
7. Each student will be assigned a teacher who will act as her personal mentor throughout her six years in school. The mentor will regularly meet the student mentee to give continuous and comprehensive guidance and support on her spiritual and ethical development, inter-personal relationships, time management skills and careers options.

(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : The Professional Development Committee aims at encouraging further professional training and improving teaching effectiveness through peer learning and mutual exchange of ideas. Programmes organized include Staff Development Days, Induction Programme for New Teachers, and peer observation. Individual departments also regularly arranges related workshops and experience sharing sessions based on the school's development plan and student's specific needs. Teachers are strongly encouraged to take part in programmes organised by the EDB, HKEAA, the universities and other local or overseas institutes and subsidies will be provided.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : To achieve all-round education, girls are encouraged to participate in a full range of extra-curricular activities, including music, sports, drama, speech, debate, science research & invention, social service, religious activities and editorial work. There are 4 choirs, 4 orchestras, 21 sports teams, 2 drama groups, 3 debating teams, the girl guides, the Community Youth Club, the Student Association, the publications department, the STEM team, the Christian fellowship and 18 interest clubs to foster students' interests in school work and life.
Others : The school believes in providing equal opportunities for quality Christian education and has budgeted 30% of the school fee income as fee remission/scholarship. Needy students are welcome to apply for fee remission from our school. Furthermore, an Opportunities Enabling Fund is also established to help students with financial difficulties. Living Expenses ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 will be offered to students granted with full fee, three-quarters fee and half fee remission.
Over 400 scholarships are set up to award students who achieved superb performance in their academic students and co-curricular activities.
