Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2025 ).The following criteria will serve as a screening mechanism for the school's admission: Academic results: 50%, Conduct: 20%, ECA & awards: 15%, Performance in interview: 15%.
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : Healthy personal growth among students is our main concern. We actively inculcate students with healthy life and positive values. S.1 to S.3 students stay in school for lunch. When choosing a caterer, we ensure that a provider of a balanced diet tops our list. The items sold in the tuck shop are regularly monitored to ensure proper hygiene and good health.
In order to promote sports and instill health-conscious messages, our school participates in the "Physical Fitness Award Scheme".
In order to make it easier for S.1 students to adapt to campus life, language bridging classes, team-building training sessions, peer-mentoring programme, Parents' Day, and workshops for parents are held every year. Our school offers a variety of lunch activities, including concerts, cultural days, STEAM activities, and ball games. In addition, our school organizes a year-long programme 'One Student, One Certificate' to cultivate students' diverse interests and encourage self-reflection.

(1)School's Major Concerns : 1. To enhance self-reflection in learning and ever-improve the quality of the learning activities in class.

(2) School Management Organisation : The School Executive Committee is formed by heads of the Academic Committee, Discipline Committee, Counselling Committee, Integrated Education Unit, Religious Affair Committee, Extra-curricular Activity Committee, School Evaluation and Development Committee, Careers Committee, National and National Security Education Committee, School Promotion Unit, IT Interactive Learning Unit and a teacher representative. The Principal works collaboratively with 3 Vice-Principals, 4 Assistant Vice-Principals and team heads to realize the missions of the school.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : The CCC Hoh Fuk Tong Incorporated Management Committee (IMC) which consists of the School Supervisor, Principal, sponsoring body managers, teacher managers, alumni managers, parent managers and independent community member(s) etc., has been set up.
(4) School Green Policy : Climate change is a major challenge facing the world today. In conjunction with the national plan and the Education Bureau's policies, our school implements school-based environmental policies to raise students' environmental awareness, cultivate positive attitudes towards environmental protection, practise environmentally-friendly living, and promote environmental protection education. Our work includes organising various activities to foster sustainable development, implementing environmental protection measures with facilities like T5 fluorescent tubes in all rooms, Rooftop Farming, Campus Solar energy power generation programme, electronic notices, etc. Our school has Environmental Protection Ambassadors and is one of the Hong Kong Green Organizations with Wastewi$e Certificate.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : In order to enhance teaching effectiveness and better cater for learner diversity, split class arrangement and co-teaching are implemented in both Chinese and English subjects. The school also actively organizes diversified activities to create a rich English language learning environment. Junior and senior form students are required to participate in the 'Cross-Curricular Reading Programme' and 'Cross-Curricular Reading Class' respectively. The English Department regularly organizes English Ambassador Programme, English Week and English Drama, etc.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : Our school ensures most senior form students could study the electives they have selected. Applied Learning (ApL) courses are also added to develop students' career-related competencies and generic skills. For junior form students, Integrated Humanities adopts a mixed curriculum, which involves knowledge related to History, Geography, Life and Society. Project learning is also implemented to help students develop their generic skills. Moreover, our school attaches great importance to cultivating students' reading habits and has set up 'Cross-curricular Reading Classes" in which teachers teach students to read newspaper articles in Chinese and English, and about Citizenship and Social Development. Students are required to participate in both Chinese and English online reading programmes.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 3X. 11 elective subjects are available, including Applied Learning Subjects and Mathematics Extended Part Modules 1 or 2.
2. Curriculum highlights: Our school continuously updates the school-based curriculum in the 8 Key Learning Areas by joining School-based Curriculum Development Support Services for Secondary Schools and Collaborative Research and Development ('SEED') Projects by the Education Bureau.
(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : 1. Reading across the Curriculum: To foster self-directed learning and to develop students' reading habits, weekly Cross-curricular Reading Classes are arranged for students to read Chinese and English newspapers and other reading materials related to various topics. The Extensive Reading Award Scheme is held every year. Several assemblies are related to the introduction of new books and reading skills. Guest authors are invited to share their reading and writing experiences. Moreover, cross-curricular reading and English articles across various subjects is promoted, with the aim of enhancing students' life-wide learning.
2. Values Education: The school motto of ‘Integrity and Dedication’ sets the goal of values education for students. The school educates students' positive values and attitudes by providing a holistic curriculum and other learning experiences such as Mainland study tours, visits, community services, project learning, etc. These diversified activities aim at nurturing in our students the 12 priority values and attitudes: Perseverance, Respect for Others, Responsibility, National Identity, Commitment, Integrity, Benevolence, Law-abidingness, Empathy, Diligence, Unity and Filial Piety.
3. Project Learning: In order to develop students' generic skills and self-directed learning abilities, group project learning is integrated into the curricula of PSHE KLA (S1), Science KLA (S2) and Technology KLA (S3). Also, Life-wide Learning Day is held annually to help S1 to S5 students integrate and apply knowledge and skills across various disciplines through diversified activities.
4. IT in teaching: Our school deploys a full coverage of network ports and wireless networks in all classrooms to enhance teaching efficiency. Students are encouraged to join different learning activities in the Multi-media Learning Centre, computer rooms, and Campus TV station. Interactive whiteboards are installed in all classrooms and special rooms.
(5) Life Planning Education : Our school implements life planning education under the whole-school approach. For junior form students, their class teachers deliver life planning lessons to equip them with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to formulate career plans in accordance with their personal interests, abilities and orientation.
Whole-person development is integrated into our senior form curriculum to help students understand contemporary issues that may impact their daily lives at all levels and gain a wider perspective of the world so that they can get prepared for life in the future. This is achieved through a variety of workshops, seminars and activities such as career and life planning seminars, career exploration activities, experiential activities on multiple pathways, personality dimensions workshops, university visits, mock release of DSE results, and interview workshops.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : Teachers set different goals and adopt various teaching ways based on individual students' needs. If needed, parents are invited to attend meetings about Individual Education Plans and discuss student progress. Social workers and an educational psychologist offer counselling service related to students' emotions and social life.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Resources including Learning Support Grant and Grant for Supporting Non-Chinese Speaking Students with Special Educational Needs are allocated under close supervision and coordination to support students with special education needs and less-able learners for learning effectiveness and integration into school life. Special Educational Needs Coordinator facilitates students with special educational needs to cope with difficulties in school life with the assistance from 2 Inclusive Education Assistants while other members in Integrated Education/Student Support Team help students with special educational needs to deal with their academic issues and train their social skills with timely counselling and follow-ups.
Curriculum is adapted based on students’ abilities and needs. Special arrangements in examinations include extra time allowance, special grouping in oral examinations, enlarged exam papers, special seating arrangement, using screen readers and speech-to-text software, etc.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school. To help non-Chinese speaking students to adapt more easily to the secondary curriculum of Chinese Language and learn the language more effectively, our school offers after-school language enhancement classes in junior forms, and provides students with opportunities to participate in Chinese cultural activities.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : The school conducts uniform tests in November and April and examinations in January and June to assess students' learning performance. The school can make corresponding adjustments and modifications to the curriculum to improve learning effectiveness through regular assessments.
Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : In order to strengthen the relationship between the school and the parents, the PTA organizes a wide variety of activities including PTA outings, talks, and interest classes. Other activities supported by the PTA include voluntary services with parents serving as volunteer assistants in the school library, escorting student participants to competitions in Speech Festival, and providing support during school ceremonies. In addition, PTA also sponsors various school activities and prizes for students with outstanding performance including Most Improved Student Awards and external competitions as well as providing financial assistance for the needy students and their families.
(2) School Ethos : Our school strives to develop a positive whole-school ethos and culture that cultivate positive values and attitudes among our students through various strategies such as ‘Caring School Project’, ‘Student leaders Training Programme’, and ‘HFTC Commendation Scheme’. Working closely with the class teachers, teachers of Guidance and Discipline Committees, the school’s social workers, and the school’s psychologist provide timely support for students and their families. With an atmosphere of love, care, and respect, our school has been awarded the Caring School in the Caring School Award Scheme by Hong Kong Christian Service fifteen times.
Future Development
(1) School Development Plan : In alignment with Hong Kong’s educational objectives, Seven Learning Goals of Secondary Education and the latest trends in educational development, our school is committed to fulfilling its mission and development goals while addressing the diverse learning needs of our students. We strive to create balanced learning opportunities across six key aspects of development: moral, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic, and spiritual. Our aim is to promote holistic development and foster a culture of lifelong learning among our students.
For the improvement of student learning outcomes, our school places significant emphasis on effective coordination between the two areas of 'Learning and Teaching' and 'Student Support and School Ethos'. Additionally, we are dedicated to continuously improving the quality of school management and organization, with the goal of effectively implementing relevant programmes. We put in place a systematic Planning-Implementation-Evaluation (P-I-E) cycle, which allows us to continuously refine our practices and promote schools’ sustained development.
(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : In order to keep up with various school development policies on effective teaching and school planning and to update the competence and professionalism of our teachers, series of strategies have been implemented by the Staff Development Committee.
To enhance teaching effectiveness, updated teaching strategies and experience obtained from seminars and workshops are shared in our Teacher Sharing Days; Common Lesson Periods and Lesson Studies are regularly run for the preparation for teaching materials and the sharing of teaching pedagogies. Peer observation within the department and cross-departments encourages professional development. Lesson observation by parents is introduced to enhance the understanding of students’ learning at school.
The Chief Executive’s Award of Teaching Excellence in the subjects of English Language and Mathematics has also sparked our teachers with full determination in effective quality-teaching.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : The school strongly emphasizes giving students training and development through moral, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic, and spiritual education. There are more than 20 interest groups. The Chinese drama group, Chinese dance group, English drama group, campus TV team, STEAM group, and musical instrument classes are very popular. Students show different potentials in acquiring knowledge, skills, and values. In addition, our school has a number of uniform teams such as the Scouts and Venture Scouts, Girl Guides, The Boy's Brigade, St. John Ambulance Brigade Youth Command, The Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol, and Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps to build up students’ self-discipline and self-confidence. Also, the school’s sports teams and Visual Art Ambassadors have won numerous awards in different competitions. The "One Student, One Certificate" project allows S.1 students to unleash their potential. Through various voluntary services, students can develop their empathy and a sense of responsibility.
Others : 1. Scholarship: There are various types of scholarships for outstanding students with excellent performance in academics, conduct, and sports.
2. Awards from competitions: Our school teams have outstanding achievements. Our students triumphed in the following events: CCC Interschool Rummikub Competition, Inter-School Table Tennis Competition Men’s Doubles, Standard Dance and Latin Dance competitions, The 15th Hong Kong International Wushu Competition (Boys' Children Group Sanda 42kg) 2023, and Taekwando Master Academy Hong Kong Taekwando Sparring (Kyorugi) Competition. In the realm of Arts, our students won several international awards including Greater Bay Area Arts & Culture Association GBAACA Drawing and Painting Competition (Gold Award), 2023 Japan International Art Competition. Our Chinese Drum Team has claimed the gold award in Joint-school Music Competition for three consecutive years. Moreover, The Scouts and Venture Scouts have won the ‘Excellent Brigade’ awarded by the Scout Association of Hong Kong the New Territories Region for 10 consecutive years and was crowned The Overall Champion in Tuen Mun East Chairman Cup Section Challenge.
3. Exchange programmes: Students are encouraged to join study tours and exchange programmes like EF Exchange Students Project, overseas and Mainland China study tours to destinations including Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Fujian, Shaanxi, Shandong, and Japan, etc. All these programmes aim at broadening the students’ horizons, helping them to experience the culture of different countries, and improving their communication skills in English and Putonghua.
4. Leadership training: Various activities and training sessions are organized every year to develop leadership and interpersonal skills among students. An annual leadership training camp is held for all S.4 students to strengthen their team spirit.
5. National Education: To improve students’ understanding of the country, Chinese Culture and history, the Constitution, and the Basic Law, the school implements National Education and National Security Education through classroom teaching and life-wide learning activities such as visits to Hong Kong Palace Museum, Chinese Culture Week, ancient Chinese football match, drama competitions, and Film appreciation. Students are encouraged to take part in territory-wide and national activities as well as competitions.
6. Our school promotes examination and assessment management literacy and has been accredited a certificate in Quality Assessment Management Accreditation Scheme (QAMAS) by Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority.

Remarks : EMI is adopted by class in Mathematics and Science from S.1 to S.3 to cater for the needs of more able students. The Enhancement Programme provides comprehensive academic and life planning consultation for senior form students to prepare for university life. Other activities include career-related activities, art assemblies, Student Union Election, cross-curricular activities, Sports Day, music appreciation, and visits to organisations and tertiary institutions, etc.
