Digital Photography and Folder Cover Design Competitions


To provide an opportunity for teachers, parents and students to strengthen the concept of "Home-school Co-operation" and express the importance of home-school co-operation in children's different stages of development.

Teachers, parents and students of local kindergartens (including KG-cum-CCC), primary schools, secondary schools and special schools.

Submission of Entries:
Participants can submit entry form and upload the electronic file of the entries at Committee on Home-School Co-operation web site (; or can submit the entries together with completed application forms to the Secretariat of the Committee on Home-School Co-operation by hand or by post to Room W215, 2/F., West Block, Kowloon Tong, Education Services Centre, 19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon. Please indicate "Digital Photography and/or Folder Cover Design Competitions" on the cover of the envelope.

Entry Requirements:

Digital Photography: The file format of the uploaded photo shall be not more than 5MB in JPEG file. The CHSC may request the original file if necessary.

Folder Cover Design: Design a folder cover with the theme "Home-school Co-operation, Healthy Children Development". The size of the entry is 210mm x 297mm(A4), can be vertical or horizontal. Hand drawings or computer drawings are acceptable. If submitted through CHSC web site, the electronic file format of the design entries shall be not more than 5 MB in JPEG file. The CHSC may request the original design product if necessary.

Selection Criteria:
The criteria for adjudication includes: relevancy to the theme, creative expression, techniques and ideas etc. The CHSC will invite experienced educators and celebrities as adjudicators.

Certificates and book coupons for the Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up and Merit Prize of each Entry Category.

Announcement of Results:
Name of winners will be announced by mid June 2014 via Committee on Home-School Co-operation web site. Winners and schools will be notified by post.


  1. Each participant should submit one entry only.
  2. All entries should be original, without infringement of copyrights, and have not been publicized before. Entries found to have infringed other people's copyrights, be they commercial or non-commercial, will be disqualified. The Organizers will not be held responsible for any infringement of copyrights committed by the participants.
  3. Participants must ensure their entries contain no pornography, violence, objectionable, or commercial and religious propaganda element. They should also ensure that the entries do not lead to defamation, indecency, offensive, racial misunderstanding or discrimination.
  4. All entries cannot display name of participant and school involved. Signature, border and watermark in the form of text, symbols or pictures which contain personal information are prohibited in entries.
  5. The Organizers own the copyrights of all entries and will have the right to edit and use all entries in publicity, exhibition or publication purposes. Prior notice or payment to participants for the copyright is not required.
  6. Upon receipt of entries, the Organizers will not notify individual participant. All entries will not be returned.
  7. Entries not complying with the competition regulations will be disqualified.
  8. Resolution of the panel of adjudicators will be final. Participants should raise no objection.
  9. Participants agree to provide personal data and authorize the Organizers to release such data for promotional purposes. All collected data will be destroyed if they are no longer required after the competition.
  10. The Organizers reserve the final right to interpret and amend the regulations of the competition.
  11. Participants must have full understanding of the regulations of the competition. Submission of entries by participants implies that they have agreed to abide by and accept all the regulations involved.
