Mode of teaching at different levels
Our school has Pull-out Teaching Classes, Remedial Classes, English Courses for New Arrivals from the Mainland, School-based After School Care Service Scheme, Elite Groups and Individual Instruction. Healthy school life : Our school promotes ‘Healthy School Programme’. We have won ‘Hong Kong Green School Award’ and have continuously received the ‘Caring School Award’ for 17 consecutive years. We also encourage students to participate in the ‘Physical Fitness Award Scheme’ to cultivate their physical and mental well-being.
Remarks : Students can stay at school for an extra hour after school every day to participate in various sports and academic activities.
Life-wide Learning Life-wide Learning
Our extra-curricular activities include basketball, football, table tennis, calligraphy (brush and penmanship), emerging sports (pickleball, dodgebee, skateboarding), martial arts, recorder, STEAM (drones, four-wheel drive), choir, painting, Olympiad Math, Flag-raising Team, Cub Scouts, etc. Every year, there are activities from different academic subjects, cross-border trips, visits, Christmas celebration, Sports Day, school picnic, educational camps, and Parent-teacher Association activities.

School's Major Concerns : 1. Strive to raise overall standards of teaching and learning and encourage students to be self motivated learners.
2. According to the learning needs of students, we provide a series of activities about life planning. These help students to develop self-awareness and explore their future options in order to achieve academic and social goals.
Learning and Teaching Plan
Learning & Teaching Strategies : Arrange diversified and comprehensive learning activities according to the curriculum, enhance students' interest in learning, bring learning outside the classroom, broaden their horizons, and make learning flexible and enjoyable.
Development of Major Renewed Emphases of the Primary Education Curriculum : 1. To cultivate students in 12 primary core values and attitudes - 'Perseverance', 'Respect for Others', 'Responsibility', 'National Identity', 'Commitment', 'Integrity', 'Care for Others', 'Law-abidingness', 'Empathy', 'Diligence', 'Unity' and 'Filial Piety', as the direction for promoting values education. Through different learning experiences, such as Character Education, National Identity, National Security Education and Service-Learning, we subtly nurture students' values over time.
2. We make good use of learning time to promote a balanced physical and mental development, enriching life-wide learning experiences and supporting students' whole-person development.
3. We reinforce STEAM education and nurture students' media and information literacy. We also strengthen cross-curricular learning and reading across the curriculum for developing lifelong learning.
Development of Generic Skills : The development of generic skills such as communication skills and critical thinking skills is nourished in the context of all subjects.
Cultivation of Proper Values, Attitudes and Behaviours : Moral and Civic Education is highly valued in our school. Moral and Civic Education lessons are conducted in mentoring sessions, personal growth programmes and assemblies so as to develop students' problem solving skills and foster their abilities in handling adversity and cultivating positive values towards life. A variety of school-based counseling programs and community service activities are organized for students to learn about care and empathy through experience.

Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : We have various activities for catering students' diversity. They are School-based Featured Courses, Bridging Courses, ‘Early Identification and Intervention Programme for P.1 Students with Learning Difficulties’, Sensory Integration Groups, Executive Functioning Groups, Activities of Daily Living, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, English Courses for New Arrivals from the Mainland, Read and Write Literacy Training Groups, English Reading & Writing Group, Social Etiquette Groups, Social Emotional Learning Groups, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Music Therapy, Keen and Active Kids Project,Social Thinking Groups, Pull-out Classes, Co-teaching Classes, Peer Tutoring Program, etc.
Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : To promote a harmonious culture in our school, a whole school approach to cater for students' diversity is in place. With flexible resources allocation, we provide suitable support services to our students, with the aim of enhancing their learning effectiveness and assimilating them into school life. We have executed some feasible measures such as Individualized Education Plan, the accommodation of teaching and assessment, school-based speech therapy services, sensory integration, attention and social skills training, etc. We review the efficacy of these measures regularly and discuss support services with parents through different ways.
Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking(NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students' learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school; and hiring additional manpower and/or translation/interpretation services to facilitate the communication with parents of NCS students.
Curriculum Tailoring and Adaptation : To enhance students' learning effectiveness, curriculum tailoring and adaptation is conducted by the teachers of different subjects.
Subject teachers will adjust and tailor teaching materials according to the needs. Both Chinese and English subjects have a school-based curriculum to cater for elite and remedial learning students. Different levels of adapted curriculum are provided for all subjects to comprehensively address students' learning diversity and improve their learning effectiveness.
Home-school Co-operation and School Ethos
Home-School Co-operation : Parent-Teacher Association organizes various types of activities, workshops and seminars to strengthen co-operation between school and family.
School Ethos : As for our school ethos, we cultivate a harmonious teacher-student relationship. We also place importance on whole-person development and the enhancement of students' sense of belonging to our school.
Our school has a simple and honest atmosphere, with good relationships between teachers and students. We value holistic development, emphasize guidance and discipline, and the importance of classroom management. Our school has established a caring culture and has been awarded the 'Caring School Award' a number of times. As a result, students have a strong sense of belonging to our school and see it as a pleasant learning place.
Future Development
School Development Plan : Our school will continue to actively promote curriculum reform to equip our students with the ability of 'Biliterate and Trilingualism'. We also foster a reading culture, and strengthen the use of information technology in teaching as key priorities. In addition, the school will improve teachers' teaching effectiveness to ensure the quality of our school development. Moreover, the implementation of inclusive education and home-school co-operation in our school can gain the recognition from the parents. Furthermore, our school will actively promote patriotic education, emphasizing the cultivation of students' national awareness, feelings of belonging to our country and identity, with the goal of nurturing students' spirit of patriotism so that they can become good citizens who love both the country and Hong Kong.
Teacher Professional Training & Development : Promote teachers' professional development, including sharing of teaching experiences and peer observation.
Others : We have set up scholarships to reward students who have outstanding performance at school, such as scholarships from the IMC, Parent-Teacher Association, Alumni Association, and Wun Chuen Seen Koon. We have received good results in different open competitions, especially calligraphy, writing, music, Mathematics, basketball and volleyball. It is our seventh time to win the Overall Championship in the Hong Kong Chinese and English Penmanship Competition. We have also won the Championship in CUHK 3x3 Basketball 2024. Additionally, our school team has won five Championships, two second place, one third place, and one fourth place in the Northern District Area Inter-Primary Schools Basketball Competition over the past ten competitions.
