校車服務 本校開設7條校車線,為九龍各區以至將軍澳區學生提供校車接送服務。所有校車線均安排跟車教職員,沿途照顧學生。校車上設有升降台及輪椅鎖,適合坐輪椅的學生使用。寄宿學生由校車接送往返宿舍。 School buses provide transportation services for students on Hong Kong Island, as well as in Kowloon and Tseung Kwan O.

學校設施 本校校舍面積5500平方米,屬千禧校舍的設計。配合新設備的發展,學校現有供學習的課室13個,並配以其他房間如家政室、視覺藝術室、綜合科學實驗室、音樂室及其他學習經歷資源室,配合課程的需要。提供輔助醫療服務的特別室包括職業治療室、物理治療室、言語治療室、護理室、社工室、教育心理服務室及生活自理室。本校已建設感覺統合室及多感官室,加強對多種弱能學童的感知訓練。學校還設有圖書館、玩具資源室、家長資源室、教具資源室、多用途室、學生活動室、禮堂、有蓋操場、遊樂場、供輪椅使用者的魚池,為學生提供理想的學習環境。本校配備四輛校車及外聘復康巴士服務,接載學生往返學校。

Facilities:Our school has a campus area of 5,500 square meters, designed as a millennium school. In line with the development of new facilities, the school currently has 13 classrooms for learning, along with other rooms such as a home economics room, visual arts room, integrated science laboratory, music room, and additional resource rooms to meet curriculum needs.
Special rooms providing auxiliary medical services include an occupational therapy room, physical therapy room, speech therapy room, nursing room, social work room, educational psychology service room, and self-care room. The school has also constructed a sensory integration room and a multi-sensory room to enhance perceptual training for students with various disabilities.
Additionally, the school features a library, toy resource room, parent resource room, teaching aids resource room, multipurpose room, student activity room, auditorium, covered playground, and a playground with a fish pond accessible for wheelchair users, providing an ideal learning environment for students. The school is equipped with four school buses and employs a rehabilitation bus service to transport students to and from school.

管理與組織 跨職系管理和支援策略:香港紅十字會瑪嘉烈戴麟趾學校法團校董會於2010年8月31日成立,實踐校本管理。學校行政分五大範疇:分別為「學校管理」、「學與教」、「學生支援」、「復康治療」及「家校社區」。由校長和副校長統籌主持,各範疇由助理校長/主任帶領教職員,商議有關範疇內發展方向及政策,直接向校長負責,藉以提高校內主要事務決策效率。學校一直以2-3班一組,每組均有助理校長/主任、班主任、社工、物理治療師、職業治療師、言語治療師,並按需要加入教育心理學家和或護士進行會議,建立具機動和更快速的支援學生需要,各組每星期進行定期個案檢視,由2024年開始加入以輔助科技和學生成長藍圖發展策略,透過個別化教育計劃實踐和回饋,加化個別照顧學生的方案。

Cross-Disciplinary Management and Support Strategy: The Hong Kong Red Cross Margaret Trench School Incorporated Management Committee was established on August 31, 2010, to implement school-based management. The school administration is divided into five major areas: 'School Management,' 'Learning and Teaching,' 'Student Support,' 'Rehabilitation Therapy,' and 'Home-School-Community.' The principal and vice-principal coordinate and lead each area, with assistant principals or department heads guiding the staff to discuss development directions and policies within their respective areas, reporting directly to the principal to enhance the efficiency of decision-making on key school matters.
The school has consistently organized students into groups of 2-3 classes, each led by an assistant principal or department head, homeroom teachers, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists. Educational psychologists and/or nurses are included in meetings as needed to establish a more flexible and responsive support system for students. Each group conducts regular case reviews weekly, and starting in 2024, strategies for developing assistive technology and student growth blueprints will be integrated. This approach aims to implement individualized education plans and feedback mechanisms to enhance the care provided to each student.
教與學 本校採用「貫通專業團隊的協作模式」,由教師、言語治療師、物理治療師、職業治療師、教育心理學家、社工及護士等,為學生訂立「個別化教育計劃」,訂立有關學習策略、復康、生活技能、社交情緒等目標和策略,並定期作出檢討,以及向家長了解學生在家中的表現。此外,本校亦透過「引導式學習」(CE),為學生進行「全面」教學,透過跨專業協作,把治療與教學活動結合,並貫穿於學生全日的學習流程中。在學科方面,本校在「同一課程框架」的理念下,照顧學生不同的學習需要,包括:跨級分組的上課模式、十二年學生書寫及輸出規劃、課程調適及與出版社合作編製校本教材、透過同儕備課設計不同的教學活動等,讓學生能按其學習優勢學習。評估方面,本校採用多元化的評估方式,包括:紙筆評估、實作評估、外出評估等,透過不同的方式,了解學生的進度和表現。

Our school adopts a "collaborative model of interdisciplinary teams," involving teachers, speech therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists, social workers, nurses, and others to develop "individualized education plans" for students. These plans include learning strategies, rehabilitation, life skills, social-emotional goals, and strategies. Regular reviews are conducted, and parents are updated on their child's performance at home. Additionally, the school utilizes "Conductive Education"(CE) to provide comprehensive education for students, integrating therapy and teaching activities through interdisciplinary collaboration throughout the students' daily learning processes.

In terms of subjects, the school caters to students' diverse learning needs under the concept of the "same curriculum framework." This includes cross-grade grouping in classes, twelve-year student writing and output planning, curriculum adjustments, collaboration with publishers to compile school-based materials, and designing various teaching activities through peer lesson planning to allow students to learn according to their learning strengths.

For assessment, the school employs diverse evaluation methods, including paper-and-pencil assessments, practical assessments, and field assessments to understand students' progress and performance through different means.
支援輔導服務 學生支援範疇由 學與教 和 學生成長支援的助理校長帶領,設有自閉症兒童輔導服務、非華語支援等。近年,教職員亦透過不同的專業發展,已發展了多年的園藝治療、遊戲治療、外聘音樂治療 和 藝術家等。

The student support area is led by assistant principals responsible for 'Learning and Teaching' and 'Student Growth Support.' Services offered include counseling for children with autism and support for non-Chinese speaking students. In recent years, staff have also developed various professional skills, including years of experience in horticultural therapy, play therapy, and external music therapy, as well as involvement with artists.

In order to encourage students to strive for excellence and maintain a spirit of perseverance, our school arranges for students to participate comprehensively in various inter-school academic competitions, resulting in the achievement of numerous awards over the years.

Over the years, students from our school have received numerous scholarships, such as the "Wong Tai Sin Man-Chi Scholarship" ,"Grantham Scholars of the Year Award", "You At Top Outstanding Students Award", the Top Ten Outstanding Caring Students Election, the Hong Kong Red Cross Outstanding Student Achievement Award, and the Mighty Charitable Foundation Scholarship for Special Schools, among others. While we are delighted by these achievements, the school also teaches students to manage and make good use of these scholarships.

課程政策 本校在「同一課程框架」的理念下,按學生不同的能力,由小一至中六開設不同的課程,包括與普通課程,學習科目和內容與普通學校相同,高中學生可按自己的能力報考香港中學文憑試(DSE)。此外,亦為學習能力稍遜學生開設調適課程,除了學科知識外,亦著重學生對實用詞彙、生活技能、獨立生活、興趣培養等技能的發展。此外,本校亦著重培育學生十二個首要的價值觀和態度,除了課堂上的學習活動外,亦透過跨科活動、月會、早會分享等不同形式滲透價值觀教育。

Following the concept of the "same curriculum framework," our school offers different courses from Primary 1 to Form 6 based on students' varying abilities. These courses include subjects and content similar to mainstream schools, and senior secondary students can sit for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) according to their capabilities. Additionally, we provide adapted courses for students with slightly lower learning abilities. These courses focus not only on academic knowledge but also on practical vocabulary, life skills, independent living, interest cultivation, and other skill developments.

Furthermore, our school emphasizes the cultivation of twelve primary values and attitudes in students. In addition to classroom learning activities, we integrate values education through interdisciplinary activities, monthly assemblies, morning meetings, and other forms of activities to instill these values in students.
課外活動 本校重視多元智能的發展,積極推行體藝興趣活動。每星期舉行興趣班,按學生能力、需要及興趣,編排學生參與興趣體藝小組,包括電腦、話劇、合唱團及節奏樂等。目的是培養學生身心的均衡發展,啟發學生的多元智能,發展潛能,建立自信。本校成立特能幼童軍及紅十字會青年團,培養學生服務社會的精神。本校每年舉辦周年陸運會,學生、家長及教職員均積極投入比賽。此外,本校亦積極推動境外學習,貫徹「兩個轆、四圍LOOK」的目標,讓輪椅學生亦能前往深圳、江西贛州、哈爾濱以至韓國首爾進行交流學習,擴闊視野。而為了提升學生自主參與及策劃活動的能力,本校亦提供機會讓有能力的學生就學校戶外學習日、學科活動、境外交流活動等提出意見,參與籌備工作,為他們日後的休閒生活建立基礎。

Our school values the development of multiple intelligences and actively promotes interest in sports and arts activities. Every week, we hold interest classes and organize students into interest groups based on their abilities, needs, and interests, including computer, drama, choir, and rhythmic music. The purpose is to cultivate students' physical and mental balance, inspire their multiple intelligences, develop their potential, and build their confidence. Our school has established special needs Cub Scouts and Red Cross Youth Corps to cultivate students' spirit of serving the community. Every year, our school holds an annual sports day, with students, parents, and staff actively participating in the competitions. Furthermore, our school actively promotes overseas learning, implementing the goal of "Look around with Two Wheels," allowing wheelchair students to participate in exchange learning trips to Shenzhen, Ganzhou, Harbin, and Seoul, South Korea to broaden their horizons. To enhance students' abilities to participate autonomously and plan activities, our school also provides opportunities for capable students to offer suggestions and participate in the preparation of school outdoor learning days, subject activities, overseas exchange activities, etc., laying the foundation for their future leisure activities.exploring potential students to join international sports events; We also promote Environmental Protection Education to promote positive values on energy conservation. 資訊科技支援 本校設有電腦室及多媒體學習室,每間課室亦設有足夠的平板電腦,供學生上課之用。本校積極推行「啟能科技」,為個別學生分配科技器材,包括手提電腦及溝通機,讓有需要的學生可以運用輔助科技器材參與學習活動及與人溝通。本校透過電子學習平台,讓學生進行線上學習。資訊及科技發展組正積極支援電子教學,除在校園全面鋪設wifi設施外,更為學生購買不同的資訊科技器材,及實用的教學程式(apps),供學生上課學習,期望能提升學生的學習效能。

We support students with assistive devices so that they can participate in learning activities and communication. The IT department facilitates teachers to design e-textbooks to enhance interactive learning and teaching. Wifi have been set up on the campus. New tablets and notebook computers have been purchased for promotion of e-learning.
輔助醫療服務 本校提供言語治療、職業治療及物理治療服務,培訓學生的發聲、溝通及社交技巧、手眼協調能力、寫前技巧、步行及大小肌肉活動機能等。本校積極推行感覺統合治療及多感官治療。社會工作部及護理部分別為個別學生提供輔導及護理服務,照顧學生的全面心身發展。教育心理學家協助改善學生的學習能力及情緒問題。校內各專業部以貫通專業團隊模式合作。本校治療師共同設計「體機能發展指標」,評估學生的體機能發展。

Our school provides speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy services, training students in voice, communication, and social skills, hand-eye coordination, pre-writing skills, walking, and gross and fine motor activities. We actively implement sensory integration therapy and multi-sensory therapy. The social work department and nursing department provide individual counseling and nursing services for students, caring for their overall physical and mental development. Educational psychologists assist in improving students' learning abilities and emotional issues. Various professional departments within the school collaborate through a multidisciplinary team approach. Our therapists co-design the "Physical Function Development Indicators" to assess students' physical development.

科技日新月異,透過不同的科技及輔助行動裝置,例如「外骨骼機械人」及企立式輪椅等,讓學生能維持身體機能、訓練獨立生活及提升自信。而本校為全港首間引入「外骨骼機械人」試驗計劃的肢體傷殘兒童學校。同時,本校亦參加了賽馬會「智啟潛能」學習計劃,期望能透過計劃引入更多輔助工具,並成立資源中心,將合適的輔具借用予學生及畢業生,使他們的生活更便利。

為協助學生有系統規劃學涯、職涯及休涯,透過跨專業團隊的協作,按學生的需要及發展,於每個學階為他們訂立適切的個別化教學計劃(IEP)。本年度,職業治療師更嘗試以幾個同學作試點,為他們製作學生發展藍圖,希望從小為他們籌謀,讓他們將來有更整全的規劃。同時,本校更參與多個聯校計劃,例如賽馬會「智歷奇境學習計劃2.0」等,為學生提供不同的實習機會及各項職前培訓,為將來作好準備。另外,本年度更與其他學校聯辦「共闖創明天」計劃(RIPPLE),為期兩年,為他們提供更全面的職業訓練、配對工作機會,及公眾教育等,藉此希望他們能有更合適的工作。

Innovative Integration: Leading Rehabilitation
With rapidly evolving technology, various assistive devices—such as exoskeleton robots and standing wheelchairs—enable students to maintain physical functions, train for independent living, and boost their confidence. Our school is the first in Hong Kong to introduce an exoskeleton robot trial program for children with physical disabilities. Additionally, we participate in the Jockey Club Inspire Ability Project: Technology for Career and Life Development of Students with Special Educational Needs, aiming to introduce more assistive tools and establish a resource center to lend suitable equipment to students and graduates, making their lives more convenient.

Supporting Transitions: Integrating into Society
To help students systematically plan their educational, career, and leisure paths, we collaborate through a multidisciplinary team, creating appropriate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on each student's needs and development at every educational stage. This year, occupational therapists have piloted the creation of student development blueprints for several students, laying the groundwork for their future planning. We also participate in various inter-school programs, such as "the Jockey Club Experiential Learning Project for Students with Special Educational Needs," providing students with diverse internship opportunities and pre-employment training to prepare them for the future. Furthermore, we have partnered with other schools for "The Rehabilitation and Community Integration Program of Post-school teenagers with Physical and Intellectual Disabilities, embracing Life Enrichment program(RIPPLE), a two-year initiative offering comprehensive vocational training, job matching, and public education to ensure students find suitable employment.
