Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2026 ).The admission criteria and weightings have yet to be finalised. Please refer to the announcement of the school on the school webpage.
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : To promote healthy diet among students, teachers will teach the design of healthy dishes in home economics classes, and lunch suppliers must adhere to the nutritional standards for school lunches. To encourage the development of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle among students, the school will implement the "Daily Exercise: Morning and Afternoon Exercises" program starting from the 2024-2025 academic year.

(2) School Management Organisation : School-based management and school-based curriculum are implemented. Priorities have been accorded to staff development and communication with parents and other organizations to nurture a learning organization culture. School Management Committee was incorporated with representatives from parents, teachers and alumni as well as lay members.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : In line with the Education Ordinance, an incorporated management committee was established in 2005. The committee consists of 15 members including parent manager, teacher manager and alumni manager. 4 meetings will be held annually to monitor the operation of the school.
(4) School Green Policy : Our school has started the "Source Reduction" and "Waste Classification" programs in the 2023-2024 academic year to promote waste reduction, minimization, and recycling initiatives. Each class will assign specific students to take recycled paper to the recycling bin every day, with the hope of educating students and fostering good habits.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : Our school is committed to strengthen students' proficiency in English, Chinese and Putonghua and enable our students to be biliterate (English and Chinese) and trilingual (English, Putonghua and Cantonese) with Putonghua classes, and achieving good results in Chinese subjects. Our school's English curriculum aims to enhance pupils' proficiency in both written and spoken English. Grounded in cutting edge evidence-based pedagogy, students’ are assigned listening tasks at their individual level allowing them to progress with ease across the full IELTS 1 – 9 proficiency range, graded reading exercises, and detailed AI-generated feedback on their writing, as well as a range of opportunities to practise speaking both within and outside the classroom. There are also a range of co-curricular and extra-curricular English language extension activities designed to ensure that gifted pupils have ample opportunities to reach their full potential.
Our school is committed to building a comprehensive Chinese language learning system that nurtures students’ lifelong learning abilities. We have meticulously developed an e-learning platform to provide students with diverse and rich learning resources, fostering their self-directed learning skills and spirit of independent inquiry. We place strong emphasis on enhancing students’ literacy skills. Through systematic curriculum design, teachers guide students to delve into texts and master effective learning methodologies. Students further consolidate their knowledge through extensive reading and writing practice, gradually deepening their understanding. Through holistic learning experiences—such as literary walks, speech and debate activities, and more—students discover the joy of Chinese language learning. In cultivating values, we adopt a whole-school approach, utilizing thematic reading sessions, focused discussions, and other activities to help students internalize positive values naturally and also cultivate a profound humanistic spirit.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : The school emphasizes cultivating students' multiple intelligences and comprehensive development in moral, intellectual, physical, social, and aesthetic areas. We promote Our school uses a self-directed and collaborative learning model to help students of varying abilities develop interest and motivation. Students are grouped together, each with their own assigned tasks. Through pre-class preparation, in-group discussions, and peer learning, student engagement and motivation are greatly enhanced. We also make use of advanced information technology and multimedia facilities to improve learning and teaching effectiveness. Extensive after-school support is provided for Chinese, English, and Mathematics.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 3X. Electives learning areas have 200 combinations.
2. Curriculum highlights: The school places great importance on nurturing its students personal development and confidence with technology. This is done by offering a variety of resources such as the Human Performance Laboratory which is the first of its kind in Hong Kong. This laboratory is to test human body's fitness by adopting scientific methods. Students can evaluate their health conditions by the way of doing experiments and collecting data through the facilities in the laboratory. Indeed, it helps to develop the abilities of those students who are interested in Physical Education.
(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : Regular reading is encouraged through provision of fiction and non-fiction reading materials in the library and the classroom. Quiet reading sessions are held at the beginning of every school days. Reading activities such as Read-to Win, Meet the Author and Teacher Picks promote positive attitudes to use Information Technology for interactive learning: The school's computer network is available as a communication tool between teachers and students. The school is currently using the intranet and internet services to develop and trail a range of effective e-learning services. We also promote "project learning activities" to encourage independent learning habits. Moral and civic education is promoted throughout the school curriculum, with particular emphasis on the Junior forms CES and senior forms CS courses. A flag raising ceremony is conducted every week to enhance students' sense of national identity. Senior secondary education offers four gifted education programs, two inter-school courses and three applied learning courses.
(5) Life Planning Education : Life Planning Education is a continuous and lifelong process that enables students to achieve different goals at different stages. The objectives include fostering self-awareness, personal planning, goal-setting, and the ability to reflect and revise. It also involves providing students with knowledge about various educational pathways, employment opportunities, training options, professional ethics, and workplace information. That is why we implement Funding Scheme for Youth Life Planning Activities and CLAP@JC.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : Students are looked after through whole school approach with more attention in class. Students are supported by a well-trained Guidance and Discipline Team. Small group tutorial teaching is arranged for less academic-oriented students during and after school hours. Promote the recognition and respect of different cultures, organize cultural fun days, and establish a friendly campus environment. Provide appropriate learning resources and support for students in need. Establish counseling and mental health support services. Provide scholarships and financial aid to help students from needy families. Organize community services to enhance students' awareness of social issues. Encourage students to participate in various extracurricular activities to promote physical and mental health. Through these measures, the whole school can better take care of the diverse needs of each student and promote a campus culture of tolerance and understanding.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Our school adopts a Whole School Approach to Integrated Education, led by the Student Support Team and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator. The professional support team includes three special educational needs support teachers, an educational psychologist, a speech therapist, three student counsellors, and eight resource teachers. Over 80% of our teaching staff has completed professional development in supporting students with special educational needs, enabling us to implement a 3-tier support model that provides tailored teaching strategies for students with persistent learning difficulties. We utilize various grants, including the Learning Support Grant and the Grant for Supporting Non-Chinese Speaking Students with Special Educational Needs, alongside programs like the Student Mental Health Support Scheme and Project Bridge. This collaborative effort with parents fosters an inclusive culture that addresses our students' diverse learning needs. We also provide tools such as computers with screen reading, speech-to-text functions, and portable video magnifiers for visually impaired students.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : Each academic year has two examinations and two uniform tests and also coupled with continuous assessment in terms of project-based learning and student assignments.
Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : The school has a strong commitment to the home-student-school partnership to support student learning and development. Parental involvement in the school life and regular parent contact are encouraged. Interest based workshops are organized to promote positive parent-student relationships.
(2) School Ethos : Students enjoy a simple and sincere environment. The school has set up other units for providing pastoral care for students. All junior form students are required to have lunch at school and a wide range of activities are organized for them after lunch in order to advance the care on students and build up a caring and loving school culture. Positive life programme and peer support workshop are organized by guidance and discipline group committee. The school attaches great importance to students’ to physical and psychological well-being It regularly organizes professional development activities on mental health and provides counseling services to students in need.
Future Development
(1) School Development Plan : 1. Utilize e-platforms to provide diverse learning materials, fostering students' habits of proactive learning. Materials include instructional videos, problem-solving tutorials, online exercises, and AI analysis, designed by all subjects and systematically stored on e-learning platforms for student access.
2. Optimize the "Four Self-Directed Learning" strategy to enhance students' lifelong learning qualities. Conduct teaching sharing and training for all teachers to improve their competencies. Strengthen peer observation with intra-departmental followed by cross-departmental observations, promoting collaboration with clear foci and post-lesson discussions.
3. Promote thematic interdisciplinary learning projects in junior forms, using diverse holistic activities to enhance generic skills.
4. Optimize the reading program with thematic reading. Collaborate with the library and subjects to design materials/activities, encouraging reflection on learning-life connections, consolidating reading habits, and utilizing e-reading platforms (e.g., E-Reading School Program) to diversify reading.
5. Integrate thematic values education into all subjects, guiding students to reflect and practice positive values through classroom activities and project-based learning.
6. Organize whole-school activities like values lectures and workshops, encouraging community service to develop responsibility and empathy.
7. Establish award schemes to recognize students excelling in values education, motivating continuous growth.
(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : To align with the school development plan and enhance teachers' competencies, the following activities will be implemented: Organize in-school and inter-school teacher development days, inviting experts to share the latest teaching strategies and curriculum trends. Utilize the Education Bureau’s school-based support services, focusing on teaching methods for self-directed learning and values education. Encourage teachers to attend training on the "National Security Law" to help students understand the country correctly and enhance national identity. Promote peer observation and assignment review to facilitate teacher collaboration and improve teaching quality. Establish deputy subject heads/group leaders to connect with external academic organizations and universities, participating in teaching and learning enhancement programs. Encourage teachers’ personal development with subsidies to support continuous learning.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : There are nearly 30 societies and interest clubs organizing regular meetings, activities and study visits. Joining one of the uniform groups is mandatory for S.1 and S.2 students. Participation in our extra-curricular activities is free of charge. Subsidy is available for student to join activities by other organizations and claim transportation fee.
Others : Our students have achieved outstanding accomplishments across academic, linguistic, technological, sports, and artistic domains, showcasing their exceptional talents. In language competitions, they claimed championships in the "2025 Hong Kong Chamber of Speech and Debate" and excellence awards in the "7th Biliteracy & Trilingualism Composition and Speech Competition." In STEM fields, they secured top honors such as the Grand Champion in the "2025 Asia-Pacific Youth Maths Knowledge Competition," Overall Champion in the "2025 International Youth STEM Comprehensive Science Competition," and Gold Award in the "Hong Kong Students STEAM Elite Challenge." Their sporting prowess shone through victories in the Inter-School Basketball Competition (Grade A), Tuen Mun District Soccer Seven Competition (Senior Division), and Hong Kong Canoe Polo Competition (Novice & Student Divisions). Additionally, their artistic flair was recognized with a Silver Award at the "Global International Music Awards," reflecting their well-rounded excellence.
