| School Management | ||
| (1) School's Major Concerns | : | 1. Continue to uphold the excellent academic and non-academic standards of Paulinians through school-based curricula, pedagogies and activities that prepare them for their future pursuits. 2. Keep pace with the fast-changing technological world by effectively adopting AI in teaching and learning to meet upcoming challenges. 3. Foster Paulinians with a stronger national identity and aspirations to build a better tomorrow for Hong Kong, China and the world. 4. Gradually introduce third language learning for Paulinians to prepare them for participation in Belt and Road initiatives. 5. Infuse the 4Rs: Rest, Relaxation, Relationships and Resilience into school life to promote well-being of students and staff. |
| (2) School Management Organisation | : | The school is managed by the School Management Committee that is accountable to its sponsoring body, the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres, which in turn is accountable to the Education Bureau. The School Management Committee leads the school through school-based management in which the School Advisory Board offers advice to the Principal who shares her responsibility with the School Leadership Team. Distributed Leadership is practised through different functional groups headed by members of the School Leadership Team. |

| Learning and Teaching Plan | ||
| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | Apart from high proficiency in English, Chinese and Putonghua, our students have the chance to learn a third language, such as French, Spanish, German, Korean & Japanese. Specially designed immersion exchange programmes are organized to provide a first-hand experience to their respective countries while boosting their English, French , Spanish, German and Putonghua language skills. |
| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | As a learning school in a learning world for a learning century, we provide a balanced and broad-based curriculum that forges a sturdy knowledge-and-skills-oriented foundation in our students. We continue to uphold excellent academic and non-academic standards through school-based curricula, pedagogies, and activities that prepare Paulinians for their future pursuits. To keep pace with the fast-changing technological world, we effectively adopt AI in teaching and learning to meet upcoming challenges. Our needs-specific approach addresses the entire range of student abilities, enabling all learners to broaden their knowledge and attain holistic progress. The school offers an alternative curriculum and international assessments to maximize students' opportunities for further studies and multiple career pathways. We gradually introduce third language learning to prepare students for participation in Belt and Road initiatives when opportunities arise. We have enjoyed the EDB-credited status of being the most effective school in uplifting the academic performance of our students for decades. |
| (3) School-based Curriculum | : | 1. Electives: 2X, 3X and 4X. The school offers seventeen electives for students to choose from. These include French and ApL courses for the DSE curriculum. 2. Furthermore, to promote a global outlook and global citizenship, the school organizes many study tours and cultural exchange programmes to the Mainland and different parts of the world. These include the Pearl River Delta Cultural Tour for all F.1 students, the Putonghua Language and Cultural Study Tour to Beijing for all F.2 students, the HKUST (Guangzhou) AI Summer Camp, the MIT Women’s Technology Program (WTP), the NASA HASSE Space Programme, the Summer School STEM & Entrepreneurship Programme at Christ Church College, Oxford University for F.3-F.5 students, the Music Tour to Italy, and Language Immersion tours to Spain, France, Germany, Japan and Korea for those taking the related disciplines. |
| (4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum | : | 1. Moral and Civic Education: The school offers Religious Studies, Ethics, Life & Society, Citizenship & Social Development, and Personal, Social & Health Education to nurture students’ positive values and attitudes as well as develop their national identity and love for their country, so that they can contribute positively to their home, profession, society, motherland and the world. 2. We equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to make wise and informed decisions in accordance with their interests, abilities, and orientations, and we guide them in integrating their career and academic aspirations with whole-person development to achieve the goal of lifelong learning. |
| Student Support | ||
| (1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity | : | Different strategies, including split classes, remedial & enhancement group for different subjects, Big Sisters Scheme, Peer Mentoring Programme, e-Learning platforms and support study groups help students with diverse learning needs. |
| (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education | : | Our school adopts a "whole-school participation" model to support students with special educational needs. Our Team members maintain close contact with class teachers, subject teachers, school social workers and parents to understand students' special needs and to provide appropriate counselling and specific support, such as those for teaching and assessment. The school has in place an evaluation mechanism and conducts regular observation of students' learning performance. Adjustment is made to our arrangements to ensure that our measures are effective. Our school is also committed to promoting an inclusive culture and uses the "Learning Support Grant" to provide teachers and students with a variety of activities, such as mindfulness workshops and art therapy lessons, to help students improve their mental health and to promote personal growth. |
| (3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students | : | Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school. In order to deepen our Non-Chinese Speaking Paulinians’ appreciation of the Chinese Language and Culture, we use Putonghua as the medium of instruction for their Chinese Language lessons. |
| (4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment | : | Students are assessed on their overall academic performance through different modes across different subjects. These assessments extend beyond traditional quizzes and examinations, incorporating continuous evaluation methods to provide a more holistic understanding of each student’s progress. In addition to formal assessments, we use e-learning platforms that support ongoing engagement and interactive learning. Thematic projects are also part of the curriculum, allowing students to explore subjects in depth and apply what they have learnt in practical ways. This diverse approach not only provides opportunities for students to demonstrate their learning outcomes in different ways but also encourages a deeper understanding of the material, empowering them to take charge of their learning and develop essential skills. |
| (5) Fee Remission | : | Our school offers full school fee remission, 3/4, 1/2 or 1/4 school fee remission. Needy students, including those from families receiving the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) and students receiving financial assistance provided by the Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFAA) could apply for fee remission. - Newly admitted students could apply for the school fee remission after 2 week(s) of commencement of the new school year. Furthermore, to promote a healthy lifestyle and promote students' mental health, the school will infuse the 4Rs: Rest, Relaxation, Relationships and Resilience into school life so as to create a happy and healthy campus environment for students, thereby improving the overall healthy culture of the school. In alignment with the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our school focuses on promoting Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) to cultivate students’ environmental awareness, social responsibility, and ethical citizenship. Through cross-disciplinary activities, experiential learning, and community engagement, we encourage students to reflect on their roles and responsibilities in building a more sustainable and equitable future. |

Besides, we offer generous scholarships to students who attain outstanding achievements in academic and non-academic areas. Around 30% of students will benefit from the fee remission/scholarship scheme.
