Secondary One Admission, Orientation Activities & Healthy School Life | Secondary One Admission | : | Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2026 ).Applicant's academic performance, conduct, and interview performance weigh 60%, 10%, and 30% respectively in the selection. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interviews, which include English conversation and group discussion, each weighs 50%. An applicant's manner, language ability, communication skills, and analytical thinking will be considered. |
| Orientation Activities and Healthy Life | : | Orientation Activities The school organizes a bridging programme for S.1 students before the start of new academic year, in which tutors are hired to teach an English program and alumni are invited to be team tutors to jointly help students enhance their English learning ability as well as adaptability and problem-solving skills to face changes and adapt to secondary school life. Besides, the school has established “Big Brothers and Big Sisters Scheme” through which some senior form students can help the development of S.1 students in school. Healthy Life To enable students to attain a healthy state of mind in spiritual, physical, mental, and social aspects, the Student Development Team has introduced the Healthy School Policy. Our school has designed and introduced various measures, including organizing talks and encouraging participation in SportACT award scheme to provide students with various healthy lifestyle modes. Besides, to promote a positive school culture, the Care Ambassadors will assist in promoting a culture of care and belonging, both within individual classes and throughout the entire school. Through various forms of mental health promotion activities, the school aims to enhance students' awareness and attention to mental well-being. |

| (2) School Management Organisation | : | The Principal, three Vice-principals, one Assistant Principal and the Executive & Development Committee initiate discussion on the development and the needs of the school. Members of different committees, teams, units, and subject panels make their plans and implement them according to the School Development Plans and Annual School Plans. With devoted members, we believe that clear beliefs and aims are of utmost importance to the development of the school and the growth of the students. |

| (4) School Green Policy | : | Environmental protection is one of the prime concerns of our school. Clear guidelines have been set up for the proper use of air-conditioners, and students are encouraged to participate in rubbish recycling by making use of the recycling bins. As a member school of the Green School 2.0 project, we have set up solar panels on the roof to generate renewable energy and have replaced all air-conditioners with VSD type and lighting with LED type for all classrooms. “Green Ambassadors” are responsible for promoting environmental awareness through various activities. |

| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | English Language is the medium of instruction for most subjects. Our school is committed to providing an English-rich learning environment and authentic contexts for students to practice using language. Through various activities and programs, such as presentations given by students, sharing given by the NET and alumni, the English Week, English Learning Award Scheme, students are encouraged to learn outside classrooms. The Language Across the Curriculum course is designed to help S.1 students adapt to learning EMI subjects in English and develop their language and examination skills for these subjects. |
| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | The school strives to equip students with basic knowledge, develop their generic skills, and instill them with positive values and attitudes. An enquiry approach is adopted in our curriculum, which focuses on active and interactive learning in lessons, encouraging students to learn through questioning and discussion. Besides, e-learning is widely adopted, and the BYOD policy is fully implemented in our school. Electronic blackboards and wireless microphones are available in all classrooms and special rooms. The use of tablet computers and online learning platforms enhances the effectiveness of teaching and learning. |

S.2 and S.3 students can join the "Pilot Scheme on Other Languages for Junior Secondary Students"; Senior-form students can take "Other Languages" courses, or take Applied Learning courses in S.5 and S.6. 2. Curriculum highlights: To cope with different students' interests and the trend of social development, starting from 2021-22, the school offers Visual Arts and Tourism and Hospitality as two new elective subjects for students to choose from. |

| (5) Life Planning Education | : | Life planning education is designed to cope with the needs of students at different stages. Through activities like seminars, visits to local tertiary institutions and organizations, and career experiential programs, students are given opportunities to broaden their horizons. The school also assists students in understanding and utilizing the information and knowledge acquired to make informed and responsible choices on their learning and career goals. Individual consultation is offered to senior form students, helping them to reflect on their learning experience, to further explore and pursue their personal/career goals. |

| (1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity | : | Various schemes and activities were implemented to cater for diversity. In academics, small-group teaching is practiced in S.1 English Language and Chinese Language for which students from 5 classes are divided into 7 smaller groups. Besides Homework Tutorial Classes, Enhancement Courses, and Revision Classes, the school recommends students join leadership training and attend elite courses organized by The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education and universities. To provide pastoral care, two class teachers are arranged for each class in junior forms. From time to time, various co-curricular activities are provided to facilitate students' all-round development. A Student Support Team is also established to cater to the needs of SEN students. |
| (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education | : | The school established the Student Support Team in the 2008-09 academic year to promote inclusive education. The team comprises members from various committees and teachers from different subjects. In addition, it includes an educational psychologist, a speech therapist, school social workers, a SEN Coordinator, student counselors, and a learning-support teaching assistant. Teacher members have received relevant training. The school utilizes the Learning Support Grant to design school-based support programs for students with diverse learning needs, aiming to assist them in mastering the curriculum. Furthermore, in line with the spirit of home-school cooperation, the school regularly invites parents to participate in meetings to collaboratively develop and review individual learning plans for their children. Additionally, the school organizes workshops for parents to enhance their effectiveness in caring for, teaching, and nurturing their children. |
| (4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment | : | There are two terms in each school year. For each term, in addition to daily assessments, there will be one uniform test and one exam. Besides, Individual education plans and assessment accommodations can be offered to students with special education needs according to professional recommendations from specialists. |

| (1) Home-School Co-operation | : | We strive for a good partnership between parents and the school to provide quality education to students. Various educational events for parents are held each year to help parents have a better understanding of their children's learning in school. These include an orientation seminar for S.1 parents, themed talks or seminars for parents of each form, and parents' days (held three times each year). Furthermore, the PTA organizes many activities that provide a sound foundation for home-school cooperation. |
