| Orientation Activities and Healthy Life | : | The school provides a rich variety of transition programs and activities to help incoming S.1 students adapt to the new learning environment and lifestyle. Through summer English courses, self-directed learning skills training, S.1 orientation day, and uniform team experience day, students are able to participate and prepare for the new academic year. Following the start of the school year, the school continues to organize S.1 adventure camp, life education lessons, healthy school programs, and interdisciplinary activities, emphasizing the importance of a balanced diet and healthy living. Through various mental health activities and class management activities, students' overall development is promoted. These efforts help students establish healthy lifestyle habits. |

To enrich the English learning environment and enhance students' English proficiency, the school implements a variety of learning activities, including whole-school English activities, inter-school speech competitions, and English debates among government secondary schools. Additionally, there are inter-class and inter-house competitions, such as English drama competitions, as well as English day camps, English poetry writing, and the "Wah Yan English Enhancement and Career Planning Training Course." 2. The school promotes project-based learning, self-directed learning, and subject-based self-study reading programs to cultivate students' spirit of independent learning. 3. Implementing diversified interdisciplinary learning activities, the school focuses on the dual development of culture and STEAM. The "Academic Festival" interdisciplinary activities include Wetland to Ping Shan, University Climate Specialization, Nam Sang Wai Field Trip, Tsuen Wan Urban Exploration and more. STEAM activities in Mathematics and Science include a distinguished scholar lecture on "Application of Mathematics in the World of STEAM", a soybeans STEAM Education Program by Soyvestors, Traditional Chinese Medicine Heritage and Research Projects as well as promoting STEAM education by adopting self-directed learning strategies in the era of Artificial Intelligence and a Youth Digital Literacy Skills Award Program. Curriculum highlights: Our school focuses on cultivating students' self-directed learning and catering to the diversity of learning needs. The key strategies implemented include pre-class preparation, academic reflection, differentiated assignments, self-directed learning, and challenging questions in junior secondary examinations. To foster students' ability and attitude for self-directed learning, students fill out a "Learning Reflection" form, guiding them to review their successes and challenges during the learning process based on learning objectives, as well as to think about improvement methods and set learning goals. Differentiated assignments that provide challenges or answer guidelines tailored to the needs of students with different abilities. Our teachers have designed a school-based life education curriculum to help students develop a positive and proactive outlook on life. |

Chinese and English subjects conduct small group teaching based on students' learning abilities to address learning differences. 2. The junior secondary level has implemented a dual-class teacher system to support students' growth. 3. We promote programs for academic leaders, and English ambassadors, where senior students help junior secondary students solve learning difficulties, enhancing the atmosphere of learning and peer support. 4. The "Star Pursuit Program" is established for all S.1 to S.3 students to strengthen knowledge transfer in the three core subjects: Chinese, English, and Mathematics. It also cultivates students' habits of self-directed preparation and encourages timely submission of assignments, thereby improving learning effectiveness. 5. Each subject designs "differentiated assignments" according to students' learning needs, allowing students to complete tasks at different levels with varying degrees of guidance, thereby building their confidence. Layered electronic learning assignments are provided to offer students self-study practice in English and a platform for independent English reading. |

Optimization of students' multiple generic skills, develop the quality of reading and enhancing the professionalism of teaching. The curriculum to foster the diversity of students’ needs is revisited. The generic skills of students will be strengthened formatively. Deepen learning in the area of reading will be achieved by broadening its scope and cultivating solid reading literacy. Learning effectiveness of students will be boosted with the enhancement of professional trainings for teachers. Strategies include: restructuring computer technology classes with STEAM elements, integrating technology education with physical education, promoting “Reading to Learn” and Learning across Curriculum (LaC) activities, co-organizing workshops with different tertiary institutions and strengthening professional trainings for teachers to help maximize the learning effectiveness of students. 2.Optimization of students' self-management capability, cultivating a sense of patriotism and complementing a positive life. Nurturing the positive values and optimistic attitudes of students to broaden their outlook on life. Improving their ability to balance life and manage emotions, establishing exercise habits, and promote healthy interpersonal relationships and life to emphasize the physical and mental well-being. Deepening the understanding of Chinese history, cultures, and national security to foster a sense of national identity and belonging. Strategies include: organizing school-based life education programs, introducing positive thinking seminars and leadership trainings, participating in arts-and-sports activities and the “4Rs Mental Health Charter,” and national security education learning activities. |
