| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | English is adopted as the main medium of instruction. Promoting English Learning: 1. All forms have implemented school-based cross-curriculum learning. 2. A school-based speaking curriculum enhances English learning and value education for all F.1-F.2 classes. 3. To create an environment conducive to English learning, activities such as drama, musical, English Debating, Talent show are held. 4. Our students actively participated in English Solo Verse Speaking, Public Speaking, Drama and Debating Competitions, achieving remarkable results. Both our junior and senior debating teams have continually won the champion and 1st runner up in the HK Secondary Schools Debate Competition (District). Upgrading the Level of Chinese & Putonghua: 1. Students are able to upgrade their level of Chinese progressively through the focally-designed curriculum combining the integrated skills in Chinese. 2. Self-devised learning packages are used to cultivate students’ appreciation in classical Chinese Literature and raise their quality of reading. 3. The Literary Chinese Reading Comprehension materials students use in junior forms are all tailored by our own teachers. In an attempt to develop students' classical Chinese reading skills. 4. We also tailor our own Chinese teaching materials for senior form students. 5. Junior students are nurtured to develop from a “willingness to write” to a “passion for writing” through the implementation of the “Weekly Diary”. 6. Students’ language proficiency and cultural literacy are boosted through participating in various extra-curricular activities. 7. We have PTH lessons in all junior forms to improve students' PTH listening and speaking skills. 8. Actively participated in inter-school competitions and had excellent results. |

| (4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum | : | Value Education and Voluntary Work: 1. The existing subjects related to students' growth and functional groups were incorporated into a programme called “Life Education”, which comprises a formal curriculum and activities carried out in the whole school. 2. Student members of "Community Service Union" take part in community service which provides students with the opportunity to work with the needy in society. 3. The F.1 Life Education Camp helps students learn more about self-management skills, increases their ability to communicate and cooperate, and improves their problem solving skills. Students learn how to appreciate each other and grow closer together. The teacher-student relationship is also greatly enhanced. Developing the reading habit: 1. A Reading Task Force comprising of teachers from different subjects promotes and cultivates a reading atmosphere under a whole-school approach. 2. A progressive reading curriculum is designed for F.1-F.2. 3. Students’ subject based language application skills are boosted via the Language Across Curriculum (LAC) scheme. 4. Our students won prizes among 1,500 participants from 250 schools in the "4.23 World Book Day Creative Competition". Representatives from our school have been awarded this prize for several consecutive years. IT-assisted teaching and learning: 1. Our school is one of the eight elite schools that has been offered a grant of more than 6 million by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer to implement Secondary School IT enriched class programme. The aim of the programme is to nurture future IT learning environment for students. 2. Innovators' Society provides a breeding ground for students to unleash their full potentials in digital creativity and innovative technologies in the school and in the region. |

| (1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity | : | 1. Capacity Enhancement Scheme: to enhance students' ability to achieve their goals effectively and efficiently through various means of school support. and coordinate different school organizations for setting tailor-made plans for students. 2. Vantage FIRST Potential Scheme: to provide students with diverse learning experiences, in order to help them discover and develop their interest in different areas. Their talents can be put into full play through a variety of extra-curricular activities. Students will also have a chance to work for the good of the community and thus instil a sense of responsibility. It is through the scheme that junior form students are equipped for life so that they can become a cultivated person and thus a good leader in the future. 3. Through the scheme "EVERYBODY CAN SHINE", students are offered the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities to stretch their potential to the fullest. 4. We launched "Academic Support Award Scheme of All-round Athlete" to student athletes in the hope of achieving a balance between their academic performance and sports training. 5. Students are encouraged to form study groups and assistance is provided according to students’ needs. 6. After-school tutorial groups are run to support students. |
| (2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education | : | The Student Support Committee comprise the Vice-principal, SENCO, Special Educational Needs Support Teacher, School-based Speech Therapist, Teaching Assistant supporting students with SEN, the Educational Psychologist, the School Social Worker, the Counselling Master, the Discipline Mistress, SEN counsellor and teachers of the major subjects. Our school has flexibly deployed the Learning Support Grant on extra manpower recruitment and relevant professional services for the students concerned. Extended learning classes are also offered to help the lower achievers. Adaptation has been made to the learning progress, homework policy and assessments for the SEN students, coupled with the individual learning scheme to assist their learning. School-parent cooperation and regular communication are much emphasized so that relevant supportive measures could be devised through various channels. |

We put special emphasis on both students’ character and spiritual development in the hope that they can explore the true meaning of life so as to live a fruitful one. 1. The Pastoral Care Team coordinates all the religious activities of our school. Students, both Catholics and non-Catholics are spiritually nurtured through the multifarious religious activities such as services, masses, gospel fellowships, religious sharing during the morning assemblies, retreats, leadership trainings and pilgrimages (both local and overseas) or voluntary services. 2. Religious decorations like posters, “Via Dolorosa” (Way of Suffering) running track and the religious activity room enable students’ easier understanding of the gospel and God’s love so that they are enlightened to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ and the Saints and establish the rightful values. |

Maths Team is established for elite students for junior forms with the purpose of developing their potential in Mathematics and equipping them for Mathematics competitions. 2. Training classes on “The International Science & Mathematics Olympiad” are offered to students to train their skills in scientific investigation and mathematics. 3. Our students have excelled in different large-scale competitions. Our Robotics Team represented China and Hong Kong, China in the 2023 ROBOCUP and was awarded the third prize. In 2018-23 ROBOCUP Junior (China Open) (Taiwan Open), the team was awarded top prizes. In 2016, our students participated in ROBOCUP Junior Hong Kong Open Competition and were awarded the Champion, the 1st Runner-up and the 2nd Runner-up. In 2015-17, our students were awarded Hong Kong - EU School e-learning Project Researched Final Project–HK 2nd prize and the Best Portfolio. In 2014-23, our students and staff participated in HK Budding Scientists Award and won the Overall Championship, 1st Runner-up in Final Project, Best Reporter Awards, Most Creative Proposal Award, Best Presentation Award, Best Coach Award and Honourable Mention. Physical Education: 1. Students can acquire a strong physique, cultivate willpower, and develop perseverance through various sporting activities. They can also develop a healthy lifestyle and integrate the school spirit “Self-strengthening and continuous improvement” into their pursuit of knowledge. 2. The “25 laps” has been a well-known tradition among all “Cheung Teens” for decades. Our award-winning Long Distance Running Team shines through in various competitions and their outstanding performances have earned them a host of team awards in both the Hong Kong Cross Country Championships and the Inter-school Cross Country Championships (Division 1). 3. Our volleyball, beach volleyball, basketball, athletic, swimming and cross-country teams play in the division one competitions of the Hong Kong Island and Kowloon secondary school region organized by the Hong Kong School Sports Federation every year. Our school has consecutively acquired the championship of boys' overall grades in Hong Kong Catholic Diocesan Secondary School Joint Athletics Meet 16 times. Our volleyball team has also captured the overall champion for 7 consecutive years. 4. Students who perform exceptionally well in formal sports training are selected to participate in summer training camps held in various sports academies in Mainland, Japan and Taiwan. Visual Arts: 1. The VA Department offers diversified programs including video, photography, fashion design, mural making and mosaic creation have been launched. 2. Students have an active participation in external competitions and exhibitions to broaden their horizons and have achieved excellent results in a number of prestigious competitions. Our students participated in Exhibition of Secondary School Students’ Creative Visual Arts Work and won the championship. 3. The “Little Angel of Art” scheme encourages students to serve our community through displaying their talent in art. Music: 1. Our School Choir, Chinese Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Strings, Harmonica Band, Recorder Team and Jazz Band receive frequent invitations to perform in various venues. 2. Special interest groups, such as the Stage Management Team and volunteer piano teachers, let our students enjoy a fulfilling musical life in the school campus and beyond. 3. The “Lunch Time Concert” provides students with opportunities to give artistic performances and gain stage experience. 4. The “Joint School Concert” is held every year. |
