Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2026 ).Our school is a Catholic co educational secondary school. Primary 6 boys and girls are eligible to apply for admission to F.1 from 2/1/2026 to 16/1/2026. Application requirements: (1) Academic performance: 50%, (2) Performance in admission interview: 30%, (3) Conduct, extracurricular activities performance (such as music, arts, sports and service etc.): 15%, (4) Connection with the school: 5%
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : Orientation Activities:
(1) Form One Orientation Day;
(2) Summer Course in Chinese, English and Mathematics is held for students;
(3) A Form One Students’ Counseling Day Camp is held to cultivate class atmosphere;
(4) 'F.1 Peer Mentor-ship Scheme' is implemented to facilitate academic, social and personal growth of F.1 students.
Healthy Life:
(1) Participate in the Healthy School Programme organized by Narcotics Division;
(2) Sports teams and sports-related extra-curricular activities;
(3) There are P.E. report cards for students to record their fitness levels;

School Management
(1) School's Major Concerns : (1) Enhance students' goals and vision, and cultivate resilient learners;
(2) Promote students' physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, allowing them to enjoy a healthy and joyful campus life.
(2) School Management Organisation : The School Management Committee is responsible for formulating main policies of the school and promoting education in the school in accordance to the vision and mission of the school. The School Consultative Committee is responsible for school planning and evaluation. Teachers are consulted before main plans are implemented.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : The Incorporated Management Committee consists of 7 managers from the school sponsoring body, the Principal (as ex-officio member), a teacher manager, a parent manager, an alumni manager and an independent manager.
(4) School Green Policy : (1) Forming the Health and Environmental Education Team to promote health education at school and raise students' awareness of the importance of environmental protection;
(2) Developing students' habits of re-using and re-cycling paper and plastic bottles;
(3) Installing energy-saving equipment and using energy-saving fluorescent light bulbs;
(4) Improving the natural environment of the school by allocating more space for plantlife and shrubbery; (5) Re-using one-sided paper for printing; (6) Promoting ‘Paper-free’ meetings and electronic mailing.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : Our school places much emphasis on providing a language-rich environment for the students so as to enhance their biliterate and trilingual proficiency:
(1) Language subjects cover the highest of 38% learning time;
(2) English is the medium of instruction in selected classes in F.1 F.3 Mathematics, F.1 F.2 Science and F.3 Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology);
(3) Extended Learning Activities in English are organised in junior-form Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Technology and Values Education;
(4) A writing-across-the-curriculum programme is implemented in collaboration of English, Science and Citizenship, Economics and Society Panels;
(5) English is the medium of instruction in some NSS subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Economics)
(6) In view of broadening the students’ horizons and enriching their experiences, the school encourages students to take part in various activities and competitions including English debating competitions, writing competitions and Speech Festival.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : (1) Motivate students to learn by means of questioning, group interaction, experiments and use of IT;
(2) Install "Wall-less Classroom" and promote "Flipped classroom": More than15 000 videos of recorded lessons have been prepared and put onto the school's online learning platform on which students watch the video at home before the lessons. Teachers may focus on answering student questions and exploring topics in greater depth;
(3) Adopt "Moodle and AI" as a personalized online learning platform to foster interaction, inquiry and collaboration;
(4) Promote collaborative lesson preparation and peer lesson observation among teachers as well as professional development;
(5) Independent learning and generic skills are promoted through Project Learning Scheme, Reading Scheme and cross-subject curriculum;
(6) To cater for the needs of students with better learning abilities through the implementation of the three-tiered framework of gifted education, including the school-based whole class teaching, the school-based pull-out training programmes and the off-school supports and competitions.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 3X. Combination of elective subjects: Senior form students can take one subject among 5 electives, and choose another subject among other 5 electives; in addition, students of individual class can either take Biology or Mathematics extended part - Module 1 or Module 2 as the third electives.
2. Curriculum highlights:
(a) A variety of subjects are offered to senior forms to enhance the students' multifarious development;
(b) Emphasis is put on alignment of junior and senior curriculum;
(c) Life education is implemented at F.1-F.3 to foster students' positive values and attitudes towards life;
(d) Religious and Social Training is provided in F.1-F.6 to nurture moral and social development of our students.
(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : (1) Civic Education, Religious and Moral Education: With a determination to carry on the contribution of the Catholic Church to education, we uphold and pass on the "5 core values of catholic education" to young people through assemblies, form teacher periods, Religion and Ethics lessons, Religious and Social Training, Life Education lessons, prayer and mass, so as to prepare them properly for their life and future responsibilities;
(2) Project Learning: Project learning is implemented at junior secondary level to help promote self-directed learning and self-reflection among students;
(3) Morning Reading: Morning reading sessions are held every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to develop students' reading habit;
(4) Information Technology: Every classroom is equipped with projector, computer and WIFI to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
(5) Life Planning Education : Our Career & Guidance department aims at:
(1) Enabling students to understand their own aspirations and develop positive attitudes towards work and learning: (a) School-based teaching materials and life planning education curriculum are offered to students, (b) Life-wide learning day is organized for students.
(2) Exploring different career and higher education opportunities.
(3) Preparing students to make informed choices: (a) Parents nights/talks are organized to disseminate updated further education and career information to students, parents & teachers, (b) Individual and group counselling are given to students on personal plans and career goals, (c) Workplace visits are held for students.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : (1) A dedicated Gifted Education Team runs enrichment programs to help students maximize their potential and achieve excellent exam results.
(2) We connect students to elite programs at HKU, CUHK, and the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education, with over 20 students succeeding in them annually.
(3) We provide specialized training and high-level competition opportunities in areas like sports and debating, where our English Debate Team excels locally.
(4) A Student Support Team with full-time counselors offers personalized assistance for students with special educational needs.
(5) Adapted curricula in core S1-S2 subjects and after-school homework guidance are provided by our teachers and qualified tutors.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : Our school aims to achieve inclusive learning culture, supporting students with special educational needs with the whole school approach. Through the arrangement of resources, we provide students with suitable and diverse support in order to enhance students; learning efficiency and help them to adapt the school life. All staff of our school agree that it is the responsibility to create an integrated environment to cater for the students with special educational needs based on the Three-Tier Intervention Mode. The Student Support Team led by SENCO using the Learning Support Grant For Sen Students to provide academic, social support for students who have learning difficulties, for example: providing after school class, organizing social activities, etc.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; developing school-based Chinese Language curriculum and/or adapting learning and teaching materials; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : There are 2 examinations and 2 mid-term tests per academic year. Assessments include participation in class and Moodle platform, coursework, experiments and practical test, tests and examinations.
Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : (1) The PTA organizes picnic, workshops on parenting, and a lunch gathering for teachers and parents on the Teachers' Day. Besides, the PTA arranges numerous parent volunteers to help on F.1 registration days;
(2) There are two parents' days per year when parents talk to class teachers individually;
(3) A 2-way communication channel between the school and parents is efficiently set up through newsletter, school webpage, parent app, parent days, parent nights and direct contact;
(4) Our school will hold a number of seminars or workshops for parents, including a seminar on selection of subjects and further studies for parents of F.3 students, a seminar for parents of F.6 graduates, a thankfulness night and Form 1 to Form 3 parents' nights;
(5) Details of school assignments are regularly uploaded to the school website. It helps parents know the progress of their children's learning.
(2) School Ethos : (1) Our school motto is "To Each His Due" which aims at developing all-round education for our students, nurturing their sense of responsibility towards Roman Catholic Church, the school, community and country;
(2) There are 2 form-teacher sessions every day for promoting closer relationship between teachers and students;
(3) 'F.1 Peer Mentorship Scheme' is implemented to facilitate academic, social and personal growth of F.1 students;
(4) Through the national identity education activities, including talks, visits and mainland exchange programmes, to enhance students’ understanding of our country;
(5) 'Alpha Team Program' is adopted for strengthening students' confidence and cohesion within class;
(6) 'Class Spirit Fund' is established to enhance team spirit and the relationship among teachers and students;
(7) Life-wide Learning Day helps F.1 to 5 students learn in real situations and enriches their out of class learning experiences;
(8) Offer Life Education lessons to cultivate students’ positive value through experiential learning.

(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : Our school stresses on the professional development of teachers and encourages teachers to pursue further study and attend seminars/workshops. Besides organizing 4 workshops per year, we also arrange professional collaboration in lesson planning, peer lesson observations and peer sharing of teaching experiences. Moreover, there is a Teacher Induction Scheme to support beginning teachers. Our teachers attend professional development courses constantly.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : Our Student Association, together with the four houses, school teams, uniform groups, and 26 clubs and societies, provides numerous activities for our students to serve the community. Through these activities, students can realize their potential and learn to be good citizens. Professional instructors and coaches are recruited to teach classes in athletics, football, basketball, table tennis, badminton, lacrosse, musical instruments, martial arts, magic, and the Hong Kong Red Cross Youth Units. Students have demonstrated outstanding performance in extracurricular activities, showing their team spirit in various aspects.
