Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2026 ).Admission Criteria and Weightings for S.1 Discretionary Places: Student's EDB Rank Order (50%), Interview (20%), Prizes (20%) and Extra-curricular Activities & Services (10%) from P.4 to the first term of P.6. *Applicants should obtain at least B conduct grade in the most recently issued school report.
Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : The Parent-Child Orientation Day and orientation activities are held after the S.1 registration to allow new students and their parents to have better understanding of our School and get prepared for the new learning style. Moreover, bridging programmes, a whole-person development workshop and various sports activities will be offered to S.1 newcomers during the summer vacation.
Students fill out a health report form to allow the School to understand their health conditions. They can also join the Student Health Service. In addition, the Home Economics curriculum helps students develop healthy eating habits. Apart from encouraging students' participation in sports, Physical Education teachers measure their heights and weights every school year to assess the general physical development of students.

School Management
(1) School's Major Concerns : In pursuit of excellence
(2) School Management Organisation : Besides the administrative bodies like the IMC and the School Development Team, there are subject panels and functional committees.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : Established in September 2007 and consisting of 15 members, the IMC includes the Supervisor, 8 Sponsoring Body Managers, the Principal, 2 Teacher Managers, 2 Parent Managers and 1 Alumni Manager.
(4) School Green Policy : The School follows a comprehensive green policy. Teachers and students are constantly reminded to economize on the use of resources at school. Moreover, not polluting the environment is one of the principles for the holding of the Life-wide Learning Day. Furthermore, the Moral and Civic Education Committee as well as the Geography and Conservancy Society organize various types of activities to promote education on environmental protection. There is a recycling box in every staff room and classroom. The three-coloured waste separation bins are placed on each floor. The air-conditioners in classrooms can only be switched on if the temperature exceeds 26°C.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : English is used as the main medium of instruction. To promote biliteracy and trilingualism, our School has employed a NET and organizes different relevant activities, such as the English Campus and the relevant award schemes, the English Carnival, reading schemes, the Chinese Week, public speaking, the Speech Festival and the Singing Contest.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : A balanced development of students is promoted through various activities and teaching modes. All subject panels, besides preparing syllabuses and work schemes, design learning activities suiting different students to promote class participation and development of generic skills. Teachers endeavour to foster students to become self-regulated learners by helping them develop indispensable learning habits.
The junior curricula provide general education and NSS students can opt for different subjects. Hence, various subject combinations are available. With an online reading platform, students can access books of various themes at school and at home. Special reading activities are used to motivate students to read. All subjects also give reference reading materials as supplements to teaching and learning.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 3X. 130 subject combinations are available to S.4 students.

(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : The Reading Promotion Working Group is responsible for promoting reading at school. There is a reading lesson per cycle for S.1 - S.3. Reading skills are taught in both Chinese Language and English Language subjects. Other subject panels promote reading through different methods like class activities, assignments and reading schemes. Apart from holding book displays on different themes, the School Library organizes large-scale book exhibitions from time to time. Furthermore, book sharing activities are organized and books worth reading are introduced to students.
Information technology is widely used in learning and teaching in classrooms and students are required to complete their assignments using information technology. Exercises have been uploaded to different online platforms. Interactive touch panels and tablet computers are used in all subjects to further promote interaction in lessons. Students are instructed to finish projects on different themes so as to boost their generic skills.
The teaching of all subjects includes elements of moral and civic education. Form-teacher Periods, Citizenship, Economics and Society and Life & Society help students nurture proper values and attitudes. Apart from the formal curriculum, interest clubs, the Red Cross Youth Team, School Assemblies and other activities are all conducive to the personality development of students.
(5) Life Planning Education : Life planning education of the School aims at fostering students’ self-understanding, personal planning, goal setting, reflective thinking and articulation to progression pathways. The Careers Team organizes various kinds of activities, including talks, workshops, sharing sessions, visits, working experience schemes, mentorship scheme, peer tutoring scheme, competitions, individual and group counselling, for students in accordance with their levels, interests and abilities. Through diversified educational activities, students are equipped with the knowledge, skills and positive attitude to make wise choices in their careers and life planning.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : The School upholds an effective policy on the development of gifted students and students needing remedial support. The former can join interest classes, courses or competitions to develop their potential while enhancement and remedial classes are offered to weaker students. In addition, on-line exercises of different levels of difficulty are provided by various subjects and students can complete them to enhance their academic standards in accordance with their needs.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : The School deploys internal and external resources and fully utilizes the Learning Support Grant to provide support needed for those students with special educational needs (SEN). Besides adjusting the assessment requirements for and providing Individual Education Plans to them, the School also offers counselling programs to suit their individual needs. There is close collaboration with their parents, who are constantly briefed on the progress of their children. Moreover, the School has arranged its staff to receive relevant training courses and endeavoured to promote the acceptance of SEN students by other students and their parents.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: appointing additional teacher(s)/teaching assistant(s) to support NCS students’ learning of Chinese; arranging intensive Chinese learning and teaching mode(s), e.g. pull-out learning if necessary, split-class/group learning, etc.; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : Continuous assessment takes classroom performance as well as quality of assignments and projects into consideration. There will be one test for each subject in each term. Quizzes will be provided for S.4 - S.6 electives. There are 2 examinations for S.1 - S.5 every school year while S.6 students just have 1 examination. Moreover, to enable the learning outcomes of those students with special educational needs to be more objectively assessed, special arrangements related to assignments, tests and examinations are made for them.
Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : A newsletter and a school newspaper are published every year to give first-hand information about the development of the School and its policies to parents. The Parent-Teacher Association holds activities like talks, workshops and outings to facilitate home-school co-operation. Besides mobilizing parent volunteers to provide assistance to the activities of the School, the Parent-Teacher Association also reflects the parent views collected to the School. Scholarships for students excelling in sports, art or music are offered to encourage students to have an all-round development while assistance is given to the fund-raising activities of the School for improving its facilities. Furthermore, there is a Parents' Day every school term to let parents realize the performance of students at school.
(2) School Ethos : Students are educated to become enlightened, abide by rules and understand the school motto through School Assemblies, talks on moral education, extra-curricular activities, etc. Subject panels and functional committees try to implement the idea of healthy school through various activities. The system of Assistant Form-teachers is introduced in S.1 to S.3 so as to reinforce the support to the student development. Moreover, the Careers Team tries to help students tackle problems related to the selection of subjects and further education. In addition, assistance is provided to students suffering from different problems by the Pupil Guidance Team and the School Social Workers. Furthermore, the Peer Counsellors' Scheme is carried out to help S.1 students deal with obstacles encountered in adaptation to the learning environment, studies and interpersonal relationships.

(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : Besides supporting the improvement of teaching strategies and counselling skills of teachers, the School encourages participation in seminars/workshops and sharing of experiences. Moreover, there is a Mentoring Scheme to help novice teachers adapt to the working environment and meet the School's expectations.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : There are 35 student bodies organizing various types of extra-curricular activities, e.g. the Students' Association, the 4 houses, the Red Cross Youth Team, Campus TV, academic clubs and interest clubs. We also have 19 different school teams winning numerous prizes in open competitions, including Chinese and English Debate Teams, the Public Speaking Team, the School Band, the String Orchestra, the Chinese Orchestra, the Archery Team, the Indoor Rowing Team and other sports teams. Besides, students are also encouraged to enrol in the Hong Kong Award for Young People, participate in community services and join overseas study tours to explore their potential, establish social relationships, widen their horizons and serve the community.
Additionally, our school implements the “One Sport and One Art Throughout life” programme and “S.1 & S.2 Activity Days” to encourage student participation in various activities. These initiatives not only relieve academic pressure but also promote holistic development.
Others : Our students are frequent winners of STEAM competitions, Inter-school Sports Competitions, and events organized by the Hong Kong Red Cross.
