There are 4 laboratories, 1 Computer Room, 10 Special Rooms, 1 Multimedia Learning Centre, 1 Student Activity Centre, 1 Library, 1 Student Counselling Room, 1 Prefect Room, 1 Big Brothers and Sisters Room, 1 Parents' Resource Room, 1 School Hall, 1 Covered Playground, 1 Volleyball Court and 1 Basketball Court. The construction of our new annex was completed in August 2011. The 4-storey new teaching block comprises a covered playground, a Student Union's Office, 2 Interview Rooms, a Cultural Performance Podium, a new Staff Room, a large Multi-purpose Activity Room, 2 standard classrooms, a green roof etc. In recent years, folding glass doors and air-conditioners were installed for our two covered playgrounds. |

| (1) Whole-school Language Policy | : | English is our medium of instruction for all subjects in all classes except Chinese Language, Chinese History, Putonghua, Citizenship, Economics and Society, Moral and Civic Education, Citizenship & Social Development and Tourism & Hospitality Studies. Various schemes and activities such as English Speaking Days and English dramas are organized so as to build up students' confidence in speaking English. The school also strives hard to enhance students' proficiency in Chinese and Putonghua by organizing activities like singing contests and debate. |
| (2) Learning and Teaching Strategies | : | Our school employs “Student-Centred Pedagogy” and places stress on our students’ participation during the lesson. Through various co-curricular activities like outdoor writing, field trips and study tours, the goals of “Life-wide Learning” are accomplished and students’ horizons are broadened. The school has also developed a project learning framework in junior forms. Cross-curricular projects are conducted by different subjects in order to enhance various generic skills. | (1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity | : | Support Measures for Academically Gifted Students: The "High Achiever Scheme" has been set up to encourage students to take part in Weekend English, Chinese and Mathematics Intensive Classes as well as programs organized for gifted students by outside bodies. They are also encouraged to take extra elective subjects, such as foreign languages in NSSC. Support Measures for Under-privileged Students: In junior forms, there are English, Chinese and Mathematics remedial classes to help students catch up. To cater to the needs of students, the curriculum are tailored and different learning and teaching activities designed. |

| (1) Home-School Co-operation | : | Parent-teacher association and a parents’ resource centre were established in 2000. Parents actively supported school functions and activities. Different activities were launched by the Parent-Teacher Association to foster a closer parent-teacher-student relationship. They included picnics, principal-parent conferences, interest groups and various workshops and talks. |
| (2) School Ethos | : | Our students are humble, diligent and well-behaved. The student-teacher relationship is harmonious and all students have a strong sense of belonging to the school. Support is given to students by guidance teachers, the school social worker and educational psychologist. Moreover, "Big Brothers and Sisters Scheme", "Form Teacher Guidance Scheme", "F.6 Student-Teacher mentorship program", Sex Education, Life Education activities, Adventure activities and other preventive programmes are also organized to facilitate the personality development of students. |

Therefore, not only does our school place a lot of emphasis on developing students’ intellect through helping them achieve their academic potentials, we also encourage students to make constructive use of their leisure time to develop their leadership skills as well as spirit of serving community. This could be fully reflected by the mature establishment of over 40 student bodies that are classified under six major categories, namely Students’ Union, houses, prefect team, service groups (including Civic Education Student Ambassadors & Big Brothers and Sisters Scheme), clubs (including interest classes & uniform units) and school teams (including sports, academics & cultural teams). Our Dance Team, Robotics Team & Quiz Team have demonstrated outstanding performance with countless awards received. Meanwhile, we offer distinctive student bodies like Florista Club, Astronomy Club and Rope-skipping Team. Furthermore, Form 6 Graduation Cup, TYTCians Charity Carnival and Multi-intelligence Competition are the signature programmes of our school. In order to hone our students’ leadership skills and develop their creativity, TYTC has established a comprehensive leadership training programme. In 2021, TYTCian Ian Chiu Yi-nap was honoured with the title of “super top scorer” for attaining 5** in all subjects taken in HKDSE. Sunny Wong Wang-chi continued the legacy in 2025, as he became the second “super top scorer” in TYT history. We are also proud to have witnessed the accomplishments of our 10A top-scorer in HKCEE and our 5A elite in HKALE before. Academics aside, TYTCians enjoy life-wide learning through a wide variety of after-school activities.
