Secondary One Admission : Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2026 ).Admission Criteria and Weightings for S.1 Discretionary Places include: 1. Orientation Activities and Healthy Life : Secondary 1 Orientation Programmes:

School Management
(1) School's Major Concerns : 1. Learning and Teaching: Transforming students into self-regulated learners

(2) School Management Organisation : The school has adopted school-based management. Subject department heads and committee leaders closely collaborate with the Principal, fostering a management culture that emphasizes communication, collaboration and distributed leadership. The school has established various teams responsible for coordinating and managing matters related to the curriculum, religious activities, extracurricular programs, home-school cooperation, academic and career counseling, character education, civic education, and information technology.
(3) Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee : The Incorporated Management Committee has been established since March, 2014.
(4) School Green Policy : Environmental education has been implemented through the formal curriculum including subjects like Citizenship and Social Development, Geography and Biology. The school organizes the Student Environmental Protection Ambassador Scheme, Waste Recycling Scheme and field trips every year to enhance students' environmental awareness and to help them establish a friendly attitude towards nature.
Learning and Teaching Plan
(1) Whole-school Language Policy : 1. The school aims to enhance students' lifelong learning skills by developing proficiency in biliteracy and trilingualism.
2. English is used as the medium of instruction in all forms and all subjects except Chinese Language, Chinese History, Chinese Literature, Putonghua, Citizenship, Economics and Society, Citizenship and Social Development, Physical Education and Ethics & Religious Studies.
3. A diverse range of English activities are provided to enhance students' English proficiency; school functions are also conducted in English to cultivate an English-rich learning environment.
(2) Learning and Teaching Strategies : The school encourages students to be proactive and enthusiastic learners, aiming to cultivate capable and well-rounded individuals on a foundation of care and mutual love. The school is also committed to promoting reading and ensuring balanced growth across the moral, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic, and spiritual domains. Through a student-centered curriculum with diverse subject options, the school empowers students to forge their own path to success.
(3) School-based Curriculum : 1. Electives: 3X. F.4 students can choose 3 out of 12 electives.

2. Curriculum highlights: The school arranges split classes in S.1-S.3 to enhance students’ learning effectiveness in Chinese and English languages. Small-class teaching enables teachers to adopt more diversified strategies to cater for students’ academic needs.
Striving to develop students’ interest in reading, the school provides a comprehensive reading programme. It aims to expose students to a variety of reading materials, broaden their knowledge base and inspire their thinking.
(4) Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum : 1. Reading programmes are implemented to foster students’ reading habits.
2. Students' performances in tests and examinations are statistically analysed so that appropriate teaching strategies can be devised.
3. Cross-curricular project learning focusing on Humanities, STEAM, and Chinese Language and Chinese History is implemented respectively in S.1, S.2 and S.3. Under the guidance of teachers, students have the opportunity to explore various topics and engage in design thinking, with the aim of cultivating students' creativity and problem-solving skills.
4. A student-centred approach is adopted in subject selection and careers guidance is provided for senior secondary students.
(5) Life Planning Education : The school arranges a variety of visits, talks and workshops to promote experiential learning integrated with the curriculum. The aim is to cultivate students' self-awareness, personal planning, goal setting, and the ability to reflect. Additionally, the school assists students in exploring various pathways for further education, employment and training, while emphasizing professional ethics and workplace information, ensuring that students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills.
Student Support
(1) Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity : The school has set up a School Guidance Team and hired two full time social workers and two counsellors to provide extra help and support to students who have special educational needs. To cater for the students' diverse learning needs, tutorials are provided. The school also encourages gifted students to participate in external competitions and gifted enhancement programmes.
(2) Whole School Approach to Integrated Education : The school has strived for excellence in providing integrated education, cultivating an inclusive atmosphere to cater for the special educational needs of students. A team comprising vice-principals, SEN coordinator, discipline and guidance teachers, social workers, educational psychologist, speech therapist and counsellors has been established. Teachers also take relevant SEN courses to acquire professional knowledge in rendering support for SEN students. The school utilizes the Learning Support Grant and other resources to provide assistance to students, such as hiring counsellors and services, providing social communication group, group or individual counselling sessions. Special arrangements in internal examinations and assistance in applying for similar arrangements in HKDSE have been provided for students with special educational needs.
(3) Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students : Our school provides additional support for NCS students to facilitate their learning of Chinese: providing after-school support programmes in learning Chinese; and organising activities to create an inclusive learning environment in the school.
(4) Measures to Provide Adaptation for Learning and Assessment : There are two terms in an academic year, with a mid-term assessment and an examination at the end of each term. Apart from the summative assessments, a continuous assessment policy has been adopted, in which students' performance in project-based studies, coursework, learning portfolios, and attitudes toward learning will be evaluated. This approach aims to enhance students' self-directed learning abilities.
Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos
(1) Home-School Co-operation : The role of the PTA is:
1. To serve as a bridge between parents and the school so that parents can have a better understanding of their children’s school lives.
2. To organize different activities to enrich students’ learning experiences.
3. To focus on parent education and work collaboratively with the school in nurturing students.
(2) School Ethos : The school is dedicated to nurturing students in a Catholic spirit, grounded in our core values of Truth, Justice, Love, Life, and Family. The school also maintains high standards for students’ appearance, language, and behavior, fostering an ethos of decency and respect.

Our Guidance Team implements various programs to instill a culture of care and service among our students. Two full-time social workers from Caritas are stationed at our school, and an Educational Psychologist from the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong makes regular visits to provide support.

Additionally, the Career and Life Planning Education Committee organizes workshops and university visits to assist students with their career planning. Strong ties between parents and the school further enhance our community.

(2) Teacher Professional Training and Development : Teacher development programmes aligned with the school's major concerns will be conducted annually.
Life-wide Learning (Including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be Provided through Key Learning Areas, Extra-curricular Activities, Co-curricular Activities, etc.) : The school offers over 44 extra-curricular activities for students to choose from, categorized into five areas: Academic, Music & Art, Sports, Interest, and Uniformed Groups. Examples include the School Orchestra, Handbell Choir, Dance Club, Debating Club, Art Talent Class, and Robotics Club.

In addition to these regular activities, the school also organizes enrichment programmes such as religious camps, prefects’ camps, singing contests, adventure-based activities, and non-local exchange programs. Participation in this diverse range of life-wide learning activities helps students strengthen their confidence, self-esteem, and positive values, while also enabling them to develop and realize their potential and talents.
Others : Various scholarships have been set up to recognise students with remarkable achievements and performance in conduct, studies and extra-curricular activities. Internal scholarships include Woo Fung Miu Ling Scholarship, Fr. Narciso Santinon Memorial Scholarship on Christian Values, Valtorta College DSE Scholarship, Parent Teacher Association Scholarship for Academic Excellence, etc. Besides, our students have also been awarded external scholarships including the Concord Fortune Charity Scholarship, Children Charity Foundation Scholarship and Lau Cheuk Yin Charity Scholarship, etc. to recognise their brilliant results in the HKDSE and excellent contributions in social services.
